Music program

 Which music program do you use when writing? Do you use midi or mp3/wav/etc.?

I write music in GarageBand, in mp3 of course.

I use ModPlug Tracker (OpenMPT)... It lets you actually add individual notes and chords of instruments

I use either Garageband or GuitarPro 5. (MP3) I prefer GuitarPro because it's so similar to writting by hand with the knowledge of most Musical writing stuff. Oh, i used to use Powertab, but only the free version.
@Luke - Most music programs do that, all of the ones mentioned here can do that

I use anvil studio... for midi files
and the preloaded (on every windows computer) sound recorder for mp3s

Don't worry about it, Audacity is pretty good. It's got a lot of good modifiers.

I mostly use it for sound effects though.
