I set up these boards because I have a real passion for two things: first music, then programming. Thus, there are sections of the site for both. I have not to this day found a quality community focused on original music design and relating it to video games; therefore I look forward to a community where the fusion between music and video games becomes real, and where the composition of the music is seen and the connection with the game is unleashed. Music with vocals is welcome, too. The forums may seem empty now, but I know with your help we can build an amazing place where composers and designers are able to show their true creativity. Anyways, once again, welcome to SoulRed Productions Community. I have a few things I'd like to get out there, and since you're reading this topic anyways, I thought I might as well put them all here. 1. Do you need staff members? I'm willing to help out. I sincerely and greatly appreciate it. However, as of posting this, there aren't enough members to warrant some extra staff. If these forums get off the ground, however, I will definitely be needing some help. Moderators will be chosen by whichever staff members are already on the team (collective decision). Therefore, asking won't necessarily help your chances. What will, is to be an upstanding member of the community. We need to see that you're not a hothead and that you're willing to follow rules. 2. Wait...Why the heck are the games forums moderated? Because I'd like to make this forum somewhat of a showcase, where people can come to be sure they're downloading quality games. 3. Now what's this about music? If you've written any sort of music, post it! There is no new topic moderation for the music forum, so whatever you've got, you may post. Be sure to note whether others are allowed to use it for their games, if you want payment, etc. In addition, the threads for the best songs will be moved to the music showcase forum! 4. I've noticed a lot of these threads have really old dates; why? Didn't you like, just open? I've been preparing these forums for a while, debating which skin to use, what add-ons, etc. So threads I posted a while ago are still there. Even this thread wasn't posted right on the date of opening. The real date of opening was: 7/27/08 5. Rep system? Really? Yes. I installed it a while back (found it on the zetaboards site), so I'm not entirely sure how it works or if it will work. Once we start getting more members, it will continue to be tested and we'll see if it stays onboard. The last thing I'd like to say, is that if you've got a forum of your own, we should affiliate! Check that forum for more info. Anyhoo, that's all I've got for now. Thanks for coming; have fun!
