Now im wondering if it would be possible to buy a TV reception wossits to plug into laptop and what would it allow me to watch any thoughts ?? |

i just download tv series and movies bang em on an external drive and plug it into my xbox. when i upgrade my pc i'll turn this one into a media server on my network then have my laptop and xbox in the different rooms for music and films/episodes. just looking into ways of running my p.c remotely so i can rack up downoads while i'm away. edit: i should also say that i connect my lappy to my lcd telly with an hdmi cable. my lappy has an hd-dvd drive but i only have one hd-dvd(the movie 300) Edited by the mighty coco, Dec 17 2008, 12:01 PM.

yeah ive seen those site that allow you to stream tv , and sports stuff , but TBH altho its ok to watch a bit of football thats not on live anywhere else its not something id want to expand onto a large TV screen LOL im looking at watching in HD - right ..... i know my Laptop works on sons LG tv upstairs using DVi to DVi cable .. on both the tellys downstairs we dont have that connection , just HDMI ,PC(vga),svideo, componant, composite, scart etc etc now ive tried using PC(vga) to PC(vga) cable - the one with 15 pins i think but i get a screen message saying "signal out of range ?!?!) so it looks like ill be waiting till i either get a tv downstairs with DVi connection , or i figure another way to connect from my laptop - im not sure why im getting an error message , ive definately ran my old PC thru the TV out of curiosity... |
