Rebecca Adlington, Nicole Cooke, Chris Hoy, Rebecca Romero, Bradley Wiggins, Ben Ainslie Christine Ohuruogu Lewis Hamilton, Joe Calzaghe Andy Murray -------------------------------------- riiight as its sports personality of the year , cross off Hamilton , Murray coz they are miserable cunts Adlington was always having a laff when ever she was on telly and Wiggins is a nut so id go for them two . Not on the list ... id give the award to Eleanor Simmonds the 13yr old swimmer from the paralympics , she was great !!! |

Well for actual sporting achievements it should go to Murray. And lets face it, driving a car ain't really a sport is it. The only reason Hamilton won the F1 championship is because he had the best car. Thats the problem with F1. It's always about the teams development skills and not so much the drivers. As for the rest of the nominees. Who the fuck are most of them?????? I've heard of Chris Hoy the cyclist, Calzaghe is that welsh slugger, but the rest!!!!!

i kind of agree Kilted' the award is called "sports personallity" tho it never goes to someone for that reason - more likely if you are a high profile winner of something or a unlucky runner up at everything etc etc - anyways , the rest are all winners at this years olympics n like i said earlier one or two of them seem genuinely nice people n fun in interviews ... Swimming n cycling is such a niche sport with no real mainstream audience apart from during the olympics - If Murry was english n not slagged of Wimbledon (lol) he would be a nailed on winner ,but it think it will be between Murry , Hamilton and Adlington |

TBH Hamilton had some dodgy decisions to cope with from the FIA not to mention the racists and beat the odds to be the youngest champion. Alot of hopes were pinned on his shoulders. I think he's a decent ambassador, he's shown humility and great compossure under heavy pressure. |
