if fifa 10 is 25 earth pounds and odst is 30, then my maths make that 55 squids. so far from costing "for free" it will cost 140 large. still not a bad price as that will be with the 120gb hdd.
I would have used the RRP because the game prices vary from retailer to retailer

FIFA 10 -£49.99
ODST - £39.99

Total - 89.99

with my maths to follow on bought separately £120 + £90 = £210, for £195 for the complete package the ultimate bargain. which was what my original post was intended at. I did not feel I needed to add breakdown costs.

but nobody will pay rrp . who pays 50 quid for a game? apart from maybe people ordering from littlewoods ;)
i think they specifically give games a higher rrp so that they look like good guys for charging you the same price as every fucker else.

anyway i'm not going to get in an argument about this. i'm just bored and being sarccy to wind up soaky.

edit: which takes me back to my original point... the elite comes with an hdd anyway so you can't have that ;)

I'm looking to get a new telly.

I'm after a 32 incher that is full 1080p HD that is under £400. Best deal i've found so far is this http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-2354.aspx

Anyone know of a better deal?

That Toshiba looks good and i've checked some reviews on it and they are all glowing. its £16 more than that tesco one i found (and i wouldn't get the tesco points) but its a top brand and seems much better so if i don't find anything better in the next couple of days i think i'll go with the Toshiba.

On a related note, anyone use Quidco?

it's a fucking minefield buying a telly nowadays. is it this, has it got that? i was genned up a couple of months ago when i was shopping for one but things move really quickly. i have one of those toshiba regxa telly's, 37" and although i haven't used it for xbox it is very good. it handles football and quick moving action no problem. i use a samsung as my telly for gaming and i can't fault it. probably the best buy i ever made, it's also 37" but i know a few people that game on samsung panels of various sizes and newness and they all swear by them too.

once the extension is done and christmas is out of the way i'll be looking at changing the kids telly's for flat panels i can wall mount and get the rooms cool as fuck.

Apparently that Toshiba was a refurb and the samsung is out of stock.

Done some more searching and found this http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-32LH3000-32-inch-Widescreen-Freeview/dp/B001UHMT4C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1256146163&sr=1-1

gamestation have an elite xbox with forza3, gta4 episodes, smackdown10 and nfs shift for 239.99. not a bad deal.
gameplay have guitar hero 5 and rockband beatles for 24.99 each which is a mega bargain
argos have odst for 24.99 also a pretty good deal.

On the subject of tellys. what excatly is contrast ratio and is it more important than the hz rating for picture quality?
