Well that's a month of the season and it's time for my predictions for the season ahead.

Chelsea will win the league quite comfortably. They have good depth in there squad and are solid all over the park.

Arsenal will come second. They have some great young talent and i have great admiration for Wenger. If he carries on for a couple more years like this they could well dominate the english game.

Liverpool will finish third. Although they aren't consistant enough, there counter attacking style will win them enough games.

Man City will get the final champions league slot. The flair and attacking style Mark Hughes has at his disposal is scary. and they may well strenghten the squad in January. Just watched them rip Portsmouth to shreds. Ouchie!

Man Utd may scrape fifth if there lucky. Sorry but Fergies era is over. Watched them 3 times this season already and they were bollocks. Van de Sar has looked dodgy at best, the midfield has lost its bite and Rooney is the only one doing any work up front. £32million for Berbatov. Gimme a break. The guy is a waste of money and a lazy twat. Watched them play Chelsea yesterday and i didn't see him run more than 5 yards. He was invisible on the park. And as for Ronaldo? they should have offloaded him when they had the chance. Be lucky if he hits 20 goals this season. He doesn't want to be there anymore and he'll be shackled a lot more this season.

Aston Villa will probably finish somewhere between 6th & 8th. Sorry Boomer but they just don't have enough top quality players. Yes they have good players but no real stars.

Hull City will finish mid table. Got a good feeling for your boys Daz. I think they will be fine this season and fight there way to mid table respectability.

So that's my opinions on the season to come. I'm sure there will be some people disagree with me but that's just what i think. :cool

Think its too early to tell, need to see who lasts in the cups and champions league to let games take the toll on the players, also injuries i dont think Man City will look too flash with a few of those.

See who gets bought in January.

At this moment in time Man U look well off the pace but you can never rule them out, Chelsea seem to be doing the business under BIG phil but they could be better. If your going on how teams are playing at the moment then Villa are right where they deserve to be (3 away games in 6 days and 3 wins is fucking tip top). Man City with what money they have at their disposal is scary but its not done alot for Chelsea.

One thing is for sure Newcastle are fucked, most the squad wants to jump ship.

Who's your team Kilted? or Fav prem team?

yeah i think Jan will make a massive difference , especially to the bottom end of the table ---

1st Chelsea (will probably win at a canter as everyone else take points off each other)
2nd Pool (if rafa can stop faffing with his defence )
3rd Arse (could easily challeng Chelsea but i reckon they will fade)
4th Man Utd (mid table if they loose Ron to an injury setback)

5th Villa (pace everywhere , Gabby , Young n Carew will shine !)
6th Man city (robhino probably feels he forced his move to the club in a panic thinking Chelsea had run out of time)
7th spurs (hope they go down but they have a good squad .....somewhere)
8th Hammers (best club in London , shame they cant hold onto players)
9th Sunderland (who cares about them ?)
10th F'lumps (or fulham LOL)

Tigers will be scrapping at the bottom , i think we have the strongest squad in depth out of the promoted 3 , most players of a similar calibre ,no stars but most options are well covered incase of injuries (Brownies also packed us with pace too!!)

bottom 3
Bolton
Tigers
Bagggies
Newcastle
Stoke
Pompey

Liverpool have always been my fave english team (harking back to the Keegan & Toshack days).

And gotta disagree with you about Man City Boomer. The money does make a difference. Chelsea before Abramovich......fuck all. After he came in with his billions....... 2 prem titles, FA cup & 2 league cups in 4 years. Sounds like success to me. :grin

I do agree with you that Villa are off to a good start but i just ain't convinced by them. Against West Brom on Sunday they looked very average against a poor team.

I suppose time will tell. :cool

With Billions i feel Chelsea should have achieved alot more, and i think Trillions wont achieve alot either, improvement yes......football domination no.

Love a good football chat ^^

i still think chelsea will have that little bit extra to get em over the finishing line

i tell you what , man city will have a good season , the whole place is buzzing and the likes of man u are shitting themselves , not knowing what they are gonna spend january

i personaly cant stand the mancs anyway , but it would be funny seeing city overtake them ..lol

1st chelsea

dont really care about in between

bottom 3

newcastle
stoke
buggies

the newcastle situation would really worry me if i supported them , they are really in the shit ...no manager...all the team wants out ..and they all hate the chairman

unless they have a takeover quick , it will be too late come january

hull remind me of b'ham the 1st season we went up ,battling for everything and getting some good results ..i can definately see them staying up
