Sexually Perverted Sicko
|
Sort of a continuation of the "scary times" thread. I grew up on horror films (At age 5 my fave film was Elm Street) so when it comes to them nowadays i'm quite immune to them and apart from the occasional sudden suprise shock i am deprived from any feeling of fear. As such i would give anything to find a film that would have me shitting myself and jumping at small noises. The only things that have come close were when i first played silent hill and when i was 14 and saw a play called "The woman in black". I'm always disapointed when i do a web search and always come up with the same films (shining, exorcist, ring, etc) over and over again. Okay some of them are good films and some even abit scary (Ring jap version) but none ever come close to that feeling. If anyone understands what i'm getting at and know of any films that could help please say. |

for me scary dosent happen in a horror movie - a film just cannot scare me as it is just a movie , but ill list a few movies that made me feel either cold , shocked , or slightly disturbed by what i watched - it was never about the blood and gore but more the psycological effect of the flick . Saw 1 (the uppage in gore and silliness in the sequals made it proper shit) Wolf Creek - for the most part chilling and really make u think about the totrure. Misery - you wont be hiding behing the sofa , but your toes will be uncontrollably curling last house on the left - now i reviewed this here before , not scary in any way , but if u think about this movie and understand how the rape and torture scenes are trivialised u will get it - |

Dont watch "Unborn". It looks a blinder on the trailer, but it is seriously crap. "Acquired" a copy from everyones favourite online shop and settled in for a night of viewing with my female "friend with benefits" and a some class B substances. Watched it about halfway through until we both got bored to the point of depression. Still think Nightmare on Elmstreet 1-3 rulez, as does the original halloween. |
