Anyone looking forward to this? I certainly am - you should see the new map editor and some of the gameplay tactics videos. |

i did see the vid for the map editor. looks quite cool and another step towards what p.c gamers have had the ability to do for eons. custom mods a la forge on halo. i'm sure we spoke about this in another thread aswell. |

we still got Farcry 1 - - - the map editor on that was great .. even the game was good online (couldnt be arsed with SP) we are definately getting it tho , but it wont be my copy so ill be a bit random when i can play it |

Predator was a good mode in the first one - had some good laughs in that. I wonder if you'll be able to download other people's maps like you could in farcry 1? |

Far Cry 2 producer Louis-Pierre Pharand has confirmed there will be four multiplayer modes in Far Cry 2. In a Eurogamer LiveText interview, he said the obligatory Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes will be present and correct, along with Capture the Diamond (if you've ever played Capture the Flag, you can probably work it out). Plus there's Uprising, described by Pharand as "a modified version of a VIP". "We decided that all persistency will occur within a match or a define series of matches," Pharand added. "That way, gamers will have a taste of all our great guns quickly. You will get upgrades within classes and it will allow you to be more tactical in your progression, depending of the type maps you play." |

bloody hell this one has sneaked up under my radar. forgot all about this. it's out a week on friday. just wondering if it's worth getting. anybody else a defo or are you waiting for the more hyped releases? |

Woohoo just snapped this up for a tenner. Bargain!  Had a blast of it yesterday on SP and it's pretty impressive. Graphics are very nice and once you do the initial couple of story missions you are free to do what you want. Very open ended and some good shooty action to be had. If anyone fancies trying the MP gimme a shout.

Single play is very open and once you get cracking in the story it opens up well , not a run n gun game , as the enemy are more spread about the huge map. As for MP it plays fine not laggy but a bit choppy due to frame rate / gun bounce and explosives boiinging about the place ..... graphics look a little washed out , but thats the sunbleached feel to it i think , the foliage ,savanna and stuff do look great tho - chuck a molotov n cause a smal bush fire -------- sweeet ! the main gripe for me in SP is seeing the enemy at times , they arnt so much hiding , but the foliage make it a bugger in MP the view is slightly constricted compared to say COD , -- imagine putting ur hands up to the side of ur face , if feels a bit like that . Map mode - not tried it , but by all accounts its great ,;) |

Picked it up in a local second hand shop. Some kid was selling his 360 and collection of games. All the games were going for a tenner each. All were in mint condition too.

Not played MP that much on it but it does have a lot of maps and even more created by gamers. The game modes are: Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, which speak for themselves Capture the diamond, which is capture the flag but with a diamond And Uprising where a team has to control all the control points (think domination) and then kill the opposing teams leader (I've not played this yet) The single player is ok but the amount of driving you have to do from one mission to the next gets to be a chore after a while. So out of 10, I would say 7 |

Was in Blockbuster the other day and saw Far Cry the movie! said it was based on the game but as ive neva heard of it i gave it a miss as this normally means its going be shite anyone seen it? |
