The beta will last three weeks from late June to early July. Any Xbox Live member can go sign up on EndWar’s main page which you can find here. The Beta is available to English users only and must have an Xbox Live Gold account, 3GB of available space on your hard disk drive available and a working mic. You will be able to play 3 maps online either 1v1 or 2v2. EndWar is one of many new Tom Clancy games that Ubisoft are releasing this year and promises to be a benchmark for all console RTS. Its main feature is the fact gamers can use voice commands to control units on the battlefield, creating the illusion of being a real general. However i just read something that got me thinking From GAME "A further step in streamlining the Tom Clancy's EndWar experience is to remove the elements of the RTS genre that tend to turn it into more of a management game. This means that there are no bases to build, no technology trees to develop and no raw materials to harvest or refine. Nope, EndWar is promising action all the way." I've watched the demo from E3 and watched a guy demonstrating controlling the game with his voice and it responds to his voice real well. Ubisoft have also said that the game also recognizes players with accents, so if it understands Kilted and Coco then it must be clever.

Posts: 6,406 Group: Admin Member #7 Joined: Dec 27, 2007 Xbox Live Gamertag the mighty coco	haha, yeah. you have to go through a voice calibration before you can play the game. took a wee while for me and the machine to suss out what the fuck was going on. works well tho when you get it. everything can be done by pushing buttons and drop down menu's, but why would you when you can tell thigs what to do. i didn't really get a chance to play it properly when the beta was on the go so i can't really say anything about how it actually plays.
