Fantasy Football....Again Player Picking Players, Prices and Previous Points Earned Study the Player List, which features the top Premier League players by clicking on the Goalkeepers, Defenders, Midfielders and Strikers links. Also, remember to check up on the game rules and scoring details. The player list opens in new pop-up window and includes all the details you need to know, such as their price tags and how many points they scored in Dream Team last season. 1. Your team's value cannot exceed £50million. 2. Your team must have one Goalkeeper, four Defenders, three or four Midfielders, and two or three Strikers. Scoring Your need to decide who you think will perform best over the whole 2009/10 season based on our points scoring system. This rewards the things you would expect – like goals, clean sheets and good performances and it punishes leaky defences, bookings and red cards. Your 11 selected players then win or lose points for every match they play in the Premier League, FA Cup, Carling Cup, UEFA Champions League (excluding qualifiers) or Europa League (excluding qualifiers) as the season unfolds. Scoring System HERE Transfers Shall we say three during the season?? (ill leave that open to discussion) Plan of action from you guys... If your up for this put your name down to start with. You have till Saturday 15th August 12:30pm to pick and name your squad as at 12:45 Chelsea kick off against Hull to start the season. We got roughly a month yet and transfers still going on so probably best to leave it for now to see what goes on. Closer to the time ill do a Team Thread for you guys to post your Squad, Prices per player, Name of Team and how much you got left to spend. If you guys like i can over see the points tallying etc or we could each do it for our own teams and post results for your squad which would just leave me to re-arrange the table standings (again ill leave that open to discussion) All in the name of fun and bragging rights so lets av ya names down!! |

Be easier all round if you guys managed your own teams points and posted them say Sunday night, that way every Monday i could sort the leader table out on an easy weekly basis. Ill keep an eye on Coco's while he doing his offshore bit. The reason for posting your squad is so that anybody can check that you have stuck to the 50m budget and of course allows us to double check your points tally at the end of each week etc not saying there will be cheaters but if someone wants to know how one manager is getting so many points then they can see for themselves. Is everybody cool with 3 Transfers in a season?? Basically chucking 1 player worth say 3 million which then entitles you to get another player of the same value or less (or more if you got money left in your pot). Have a read through Dazza, put your team in by 15th August (ill start a Team Thread closer to that time so people can post their teams) Transfers still going on atm so i'd hold fire for a little bit. We will be able to keep track of our players scores via that players list link a the top. Didnt want to enter a team as that will cost money, so were keeping this totally free and between us. Like ive said if each mananger does a tally up of his points on a Sunday night and posts his points, come Monday ill put the tally into a league table. So it then becomes a weekly thing. |

Fantasy Footie is always a good laugh but i'll pass and stick to Football Manager on the pc. Been well hooked on it again for the last few weeks. St Johnstone for the Champions League anyone.

Boomer - if we use the Metro Fantasy Football you can set up a mini league via their site, that way you don't have to do anything apart from add people to the league as they sign up. Think it is only league matches though, which means we wont all just opt from clubs in Europe for players. And it is free too of course. |

Right as Cuddy says this is all free and would pretty much run itself which is alot less hassle all round ^^ All rules, info and sign up are here Metro Fantasy Footy Ill create a squad shortly which will then enable me to create a mini league to which you can all join as and when. Creating Your Team Choose 11 players and 1 substitute to form your team. You have £100m to spend and can choose any of the following formations: 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 This year, you can bring your substitute into your team at any time before the earliest start of play each day. The means, you can get best value out of your 12 man squad to maximise your chances to score points and best of all, it doesn't use up any of your transfers! You can swap your substitute with any player in your team, provided that it creates a valid team formation. Scoring Points The game will start with the first Premier League matches scheduled for 15th August 2009 and end with the FA Cup Final, scheduled for 15th May 2010. Here’s how to score: All players Full appearance +2 pts Part appearance +1 pt Win bonus +3, Draw bonus +1 pt Goal scored (inc penalty shoot-outs) keeper/defender +10 pts, midfielder +8 pts, striker +5 pts Key contribution to a goal +3 pts Yellow card –2 pts (2 yellow cards leading to a red card will count –5 pts) Sent off –5 pts Missed penalty (inc penalty shoot-outs) – 5 pts For defenders and goalkeepers only: Clean sheet (players completing full match only) +4 pts Clean sheet (players completing part of a match only) +2 pts Goal conceded –1 pt For goalkeepers only: penalty save (inc shoot-outs) +5 pts (for these points to be awarded the goalkeeper must have touched the ball with some part of his body Scores and leaderboards will be updated daily on the Game Website. Making Transfers You'll be able to make lots of changes to your team throughout the season. You can make 16 transfers up to December 28, 2009 - then we’ll give you another 16 transfers for the second half of the season. (Note: Unused transfers cannot be carried forward). You can now make as many transfers as you like at a time. Players brought in after the first scheduled kick-off time each day will not score points until the following day. Team Captain You must nominate one of your 11 players as Captain – he’ll score double points for your team. Is there a pin/password requirement for our league? Normally for these ones there is if it's already been set up on their site. We could call it 'the SPS Jack will win so why bother league'? Sounds catchy...and true.

Yes there is a pin. Once Boomer sets up the league, it could be called "Derby County 11 Points" or SPS Football League!! he will give us all the pin so we can access it but those without the PIN cannot, once registered you do not need the pin, just log in like other sites. And he can set rules, such as not allowing us to see each others teams, which makes it more random, and saves Daz getting flack for not including any Hull players (sorry mate), although i vote for full disclosure. |

Ok as with all things free its asks you for details blah blah but tick the boxes at the bottom telling them you dont want any crap through post etc etc. Now i've picked a squad and signed up, im trying to dreate the mini league but first its asking for a name for some pools bollocks so im filling it in but it wont let me go any futher so i think its fucked atm....watch this space |

The pools thing is new, shouldn't be an issue though i hope. One good thing is that is has a 'random' button for the ladies to press, that way they don't have to try to work it out. |

i created my squad then it asked me to sign up (put your or any name in not just initials cause that will balls it up) then when you try to view your team or join the mini league you have to create a name for this pools thing (it wouldnt let me do it at first cause i only put my initials in the previous sign up) then use the League name and PIN to gain access to the mini league |
