Ubisoft have today sent round news of when exactly we can expect the next iteration of Rainbow Six: Vegas, unimaginatively titled Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, and it certainly isn’t a long wait. Friday 21st March is the date being touted for Europeans, so Americans should expect to see the game hit shelves just a couple of days earlier on the 18th March most likely. It comes just a year after the previous game, which to some may seem a little too soon for a sequel, but that’s the way it works these days.The game promises a new campaign of course, as well as extra co-op and online play. Hopefully they won’t downgrade the graphics for the online segment quite as much as they did in the original. |

Early report for Vegas 2!! The graphics have had a decent upgrade and appear very smooth. The locations are now wider in area as well. The AI (from what I've encountered so far) seems to be on at least a par with the previous installment for cunning (we all love terrorist hunts! ;) ). There is a revamped experience system that rewards you with various experience/equipment depending on how you perform actions split into 3 catagories (marksman, assault and another - shite short term memory!!) This seems to work quite well. Anyway, early days, but can't wait for the rest of you people to get your copies!! See you online soon with it!

Read the review over at IGN http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/860/860324p1.html Not a bad review except for some minor negatives, like co-op campaign being dropped from 4 players to 2 and you don't get any experience points for capturing flags or points on the map. The 2 player co-op is only for story mode (despite the host also controlling 2 AI teammates!!). There is still 4 player co-op on terrorist hunt, and lets face it, Vegas was always about the multiplayer and not the single player.... |

I disagree with you there, I want to finish the story! I've been held in a building suspense for months!! And terrorist hunts are cool, the purest form of practice you'll get, especially in realistic difficulty B-) |

Some of you may have missed that you can access 2 free maps as follows: Streets Map From the games main menu…. Select ‘Extras’ Select ‘Exclusive Content’ At this point and if you have not already done so you will be required to ‘link’ your gamertag Linking Your Gamertag… To link your gamertag you will need your Ubi.com/ Forum username and password When prompted provide this information, the server will then confirm your login details and link them to the gamertag you are playing online in at that time. Once your gamertag is linked (or if already done) you will be able to view a download menu From this select the map ‘Streets’ which will then download to your game as normal. Comcast Map From the games main menu…….. Select ‘Extras’ Select ‘Comcast Gift’ At this point you will be prompted to input the code provided with the game Input the code as requested and download the map The code is: Comcast Faster |

I'm not enjoying Vegas 2 online at the moment because I'm unloading roughly half a clip of bullets from a machine gun (that's about 50 bullets) into someone and getting no results. And also, I'm not happy at the fact that I lost more than 300XP because my connection to the game was shitty and had to quit because I wasn't enjoying that match. I won't be playing it very much until everything is better, preferably before the next Rainbow game. |
