Didnt they have this kind of feature way back on the PS1 fifas ? whee you could push your midfield up the pitch ? just give us back 5 a side matches ala fifa rtwc98 and we will all be happy

pre ordered this so hopefully have it thursday but probably friday. i only ever had pro evo 6 which i got pre owned and hardly played so looking forward to trying this one out. hype machine and previews reckon this will be the one that leap frogs pro evo as the footy game d'jour. was mildly impressed with tiger woods which is the 1st time i've played a golf game really so high hopes. |

Got £40 stashed away for Friday for this one. God never thought i would see myself defecting from Pro Evo but gotta admit the demo impressed me. Besides i can't whip all your asses if i'm the only one with Pro Evo and you all have Fifa can I ?

Yeah i read that in the Sun paper so im like Kilted a Pro Evo man but if all you buggers get FIFA suppose better give it a whirl. Got a decent review. Konami keep PES close to there chest atm so tough to see if they have pulled their fingers out for something super!!!!! |

you could try a rental at Block busters Boom , also you can customise the button layout (a big bugbear about crossing between the two games) ... I have a question ....... i set the adidas update thing to Prem league , and (ill talk in hull city context but im sure its same for all teams) it increased stats across the team and so when i set up an exhibition match my stats were Att -79 Mid -72 Def -72 nice one i thought esp as Cousins n Geo are 81pts :) when i went to play either XBL friends , Manager mode and EPL tournament i noticed the stats were Att - 74 Mid - 69 Def - 69 now as the Adidas stats thing costs (you get to choose 1 league for free btw) i thought it would at least be included in a game mode i will play ....... who bothers with exhibtion ???? i only checked it originally as its the quickest way to see a teams stats . Have i done something wrong or u all noticed the same thing ??? cheers X bastards |

ok the differences have been explained in the game content part in the marketplace --- the stat updates work in KICKOFF mode (includes exhibition ) XBL Ranked matches (boo everyone playes as fucking man Utd n Barca) and Interactive leagues (not sure what that is but ill have a gander!!) |

i'm really starting to like be a pro. once you get used to that over the shoulder view it's bloody good. i've only played as a striker but it'd be interesting to see how it works from other positions. |

yeah same coco. i started CM but the posioning fooks your stamina up so if u play midfield get some stam. Also got RED carded first game so i started agen as a striker lmao |

I've set up a private league (check game inbox). I've only set it up for 3 games per player just to see how it plays out.

Here is the list of secret achievements: A.Bell Fever - 20G Catch the A.Bell Fever by beating the creator or someone who has already has the fever keep playing online until you beat someone who has it The ol' Switcheroo - 5G Successfully perfom a pass that switches the play from one flank to the other run down one flank and cross the ball to your other winger on the other side of the pitch Time you played a match? - 15G Score twenty goals in the arena do i really need to say? Gimme five - 5G Score five goals in the arena as above Optimus Chung - 10G Win a game with adidas Live Season enabled enter your code on the back of your manual and enable live season, download update, play a game and win it The Parolin Manoeuvre - 10G Win a game whilst not signed in to Xbox LIVE sign outta live play and win Sparkly Clean - 10G Keep a clean sheet dont concede a goal The Gipson Curse - 10G Go into an online match after choosing your own arena player If your arena player is say John Terry (easiest way to do it), setup a BAP match, when you choose which fixed player you want to be choose JT's position and it will unlock. If your arena player is Ronaldinho or Kaka or Messi or C Ronaldo, i suggest you change it to someone unfavoured like a def (hence the JT example) to unlock this achievement with ease. Just looked at my card record: Yellow - 184 Red - 44 Jesus I know I come in with the odd slide tackle but didn't know I was that bad. Also I've noticed that a few peeps have started to display their avatars but I should point out that they are two types, the one on the web and the one in the game itself. To decide what your avatar wears then click on (in the locker room) web or fifa and remember to press save |

I guess you mean on Be a Pro mode. Here's an easy way to do it and also get club god as well. Start off by going to transfers, pick any team to start, it doesn't matter. Once the transfer window comes up, press "Y" to search for players, choose detailed, and change the "Min Ovr." to 85. A list of about 6 pages should come up, YOU WANT TO PUT ALL OF THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS ON SYDNEY FC: IKER Casillas - 91 (Spain) Javier Zanetti - 86 (Argentina) Lucio - 87 (Brazil) Alessandro Nesta - 88 (Italy) Phillip Lahm - 85 (Germany) Carles Puyol - 88 (Spain) Cristiano Ronaldo - 89 (Portugal) Franck Ribery - 88 (France) Kaka - 90 (Brazil) Zlatan Ibrahimovic - 89 (Sweden) Francesco Totti - 86 (Italy) Then go into squads, and put these all as starters on Sydney Fc AND USE THE 4-1-2-1-2 FORMATION. (Main Menu ===> Manage Team ===> Team Management) Then choose any player off the starters and make them captain, I would suggest "Christiano Ronaldo" as he is by far the best player. But, if you choose someone else, make sure to also make sure to make the capitan of their national country! Once done, start a new "Be A Pro" season with Sydney Fc, for your player select who ever you made captain. From there on in, simulate every single one of your matches, and this along with "Club God" should unlock along the way of the 4 seasons. At the end of the 4 seasons, you MUST WIN the Be-A-Pro world cup thingy to unlock "Living Legend". So I suggest that you play these matches, just to be sure. Also if anyone is still trying to get the score from 30yrds achievement, the easiest way is play a game and keep the score one goal ahead eg. 2-1 1-0. On the 87 minute giveaway a corner and the other team will bring their keeper out for the corner, win the ball leg it to the halfway line and shoot. An update is due to be released that will fix the following issues: Fixed side-stepping issue on lofted through balls Fixing the issue where a player sidesteps when trying to control a lofted through ball instead of running straight onto it and controlling it Improved advantage rule: fixed goals being called back for free kicks There was a problem in the advantage rule whereby the referee would call back a goal if it was scored when the advantage was being played. Instead the referee would give a FK or a PK to the fouled player. This issue has been resolved in the game update. Goals that are going in when a foul is committed will count when they score. Improved number assigning in Manager Mode When signing a player in Manager Mode the player now makes a more sensible decision, based on this position, on which number he would like, whereas previously he would always take the number 2. Allowed up to 8 user-controlled teams in Tournament Mode After installing the game update it will be possible to play in Tournament Mode with up to 8 user-controlled teams. This gives the option to host bigger events with your friends to compete in offline-tournaments. Have fun! Removed ability to bring custom teams into Online ranked matches Everybody has the option to transfer players in his favourite team and create his own custom dream team. This is an option we want to offer everybody to enjoy the feeling of creating own teams and play matches online or offline. When it comes to ranked competitive online matches we think only real teams should compete against each other to keep everybody’s chances even. So with the update it is no longer possible to enter a ranked match with a custom created team. You will still be able to upload your customized team online as in customized starting line-up with the existing players of that team’s roster Fixed Stadium 23.Maj lag issue We fixed a major frame rate issue in 23.Maj stadium. Fixed join issue in Online Team Play Lobbies A game hang issue occurred during search for available OTP game sections within the lobby rooms has been resolved. |

Riiiight this is a messgae to all fifa 09 users , clan or not --- at 8pm on thursday 11th Dec , ive been invited to play in a 10 vs 10 game of fifa , ive no idea how many spare spaces there may be but i know one guy has 10 players in place and this other guy has 5-6 ppl to my knowlage , alls im saying is at say 8pm ill invite u to the game on a first come 1st served basis --- this may not even go ahead as its relying on a lot of ppl to be there on time lol so i wount hold my breath :) |

FIFA 09 has received its second patch, which will not harm old save files. Along with various gameplay bugs, the tweaks include: Live Ticker: Referee pictures are displayed (user generated content); Number of assists is displayed after a goal (league matches);Team Status is displayed 3D Match: 3D match improvements (Version 3); 3D camera improvements (TV and free camera) Database: Improved database (12.12.08) Other features - Notepad added - Instant Calculation mode now shows the last 5 events - New training camp features (more camps, improved calculation of the effects, option to add your own training camps) - Player character icons now displayed on the player info screen - Several smaller improvements (e.g. youth player scouting, night matches in generic stadiums) |
