This thread is for the discussion of films that are good despite of their inherent crapness. I'm a big fan of crap movies so this is probably going to be much bigger than the "bad crap films" thread. Tremors, the sequels, prequel and series: First film is about a town under threat from giant subterranean man-eating worms which hunt with sound and suck you into the ground. In the 1st sequel they proceed to metamorphosise into heat seeking 2-legged creatures, in the 2nd they fly and in the prequel (set 100yrs+ in the past) they are little worms. Many people hate them because of it's b-movie badness but i love them. Killer clowns from outer space: With a title like that what need esplaining. Every time i see Gee's clown avatar i think of this film. Troll: Was one of my fave films as a kid and they are currently making a remake in order to cash in on the fact that the main character is called Harry Potter. (should never be confused with its non-sequels. Troll 2: (as described is "Bad crap films") Only to be seen so you can say you've watched the worst film ever. Wes Craven's Deadly Friend; In order to revive his dead girlfriend, Paul puts the microchip brain of his (unbeknownst to him evil) broken robot who then goes on a killing spree. Although it's an 18 it has been a favourite since i was 3 and i just love the end scene. Tank Girl: A film adaption of a popular US comic book that isn't Mavel or DC. It hasn't rained for over 20yrs and the world is run by the department of water and power (they have the water so they have the power). An escaped prisoner (Tank Girl) joins forces with Jet girl and a bunch of human-kangaroo rebels to take them down. Can't think of any more at the mo, but they will come. |

Just remembered some more The revenge of Billy the Kid: Your first thought might be that its a western but no. This is a British horror/comedy set in the country and is about a disgusting rural family as they are killed by goatman. Billy thekid is the goatman and is the result of the drunken encounter between a goat and the man of the house. I've only seen it once and that was at least 15yrs ago but i still remember it fondly. I bought a vampire motorcycle: Another British horror/comedy starring Neil Morisey (bob the builder) who buys a used bike which turns out to be fuelled by BLOOD. Funny film with a bumbling priest, a garlic breathed cop and a scene with a talking lump of shit. Basket Case: A man along with his mutant separated conjoined twin hunt down and conduct revenge on the doctors who separated them. A cult classic that was made for only $35k spawned 2 sequels (haven't seen them) and inspired a Simpson's Halloween episode and reportedly also the X files episode "humbug". |

battlefield earth, far to long with decent actors doing shit acting. L ron hubbard book turned into some pseudo religious bullshit. like planet of the apes with aliens instead of apes. humans can't speak and are just animals but can learn to fly jets and set off thermo nuclear devices. i don't fucking think so. still watched it to the end.

ok this is a copy n paste from a review i made of this film the other month - sonata - lol this is the worst made movie ive seen in a very long time , its billed as an "edge of your seat psycological horror" but in reality NOTHING happens for the first 75 min , the movie just moves extremely slowly - seriously the first hour could be CUT in this 90min film. This move could have been classified a 12 imo as there is nothing romotely bad happening here , the "mother" looks like that bloke whos the headmistress in ST Trinnians LOL which is a nice touch! The pauses between each actors words is awful and dosent add tension - the main character is Pretty fit and can act a bit , but thats the only reason to give this 1/10 - we did have a good laff pulling it to bits AND its the most ive written about a Movie so lets make it 2/10 (watch it !!!) |

last house on the left supposed to be a shocker of a movie -a wes craven debut(banned through the 70s n80s) i cant remember the plot much , something along the lines of a pair of rape & torture victims fight for survival by 3 ex convicts- the opening thoughts on the back of the DVD case are "Bold,powerful and starkly realistic" This movie contains the most innapropriate film score ever (comedy banjo playing over the murder of an investigating Cop - silly incidental music during Rape/torture scenes will make the blind think its a laural n hardy film - oh and the acting is poor along with the screen chemestry between each other (ALL this but strangely watchable lol) |

deliverance ok i may get shot down for this but heres my reasons this movie draggs its heals for way too long in the movie and nothing much EVER actually happenes - theres the memorable "dueling banjos scene" which has no point to the films plot , but may slight give an insight to the characters pysche - but u wont care lol - the "squeal little piggy " scene is the only other remembered scene where g*y R*PE is implied -(i censored just to stop any google bots getting excited ) the hide n escape sequence at the end is laffable and reminds me of all those "dumb german soldiers " in them 1950/60s war movies there are much better films out there featuring red neck ,bacca spitting killers

"Vampire Motorcycle" is brilliant. My step-dad bought that for me on VHS years ago, unfortunately its since gone missing. There are simply loads of crap films that I love to watch, many already been mentioned so far. One i would recommend is "Surf Nazi's Must Die!".i think it was filmed in 1983-84 was part of the whole "video-nasty" era. First of all the production values. I swear to god it looks as if they shot it with a hand-cam or something, and the music score is stacked full of cheap syntheisiser music . . . .Just brilliant. So far as I can remember, the plot is based around a post-apocalyptic group of people that live by the beach after "the big one" has been dropped (1980's cold-war fear coming through). A gang of Surfers run by a Nazi overlord, complete with swastika cape and porn style moustache, are terrorising all the others. They make the mistake of torturing and killing a young black man who is simply trying to preach peace and harmony in this post-apocalyptic beach commune. His mother, who is a fat black women of advanced years (sounding and looking like the women in the old "Tom and Jerry" cartoons), leaves her retirement home (I swear im not making this up!) with her trusty shot-gun looking for justice. She kills every member of this racist gang one-by-one, culminating with her giving the Nazi leader both barrels of her gun shouting something like "Momma gonna cook yo' up some chicken and rice boy!!" . . . or something lol. So bad its good. Ive got it on Divx somewhere, I might have to watch it again lol. Edited by woodins, Mar 24 2009, 11:20 AM.

LOL not seen that one :o rise of a footsoldier by god the acting in this film is bad , the wigs are terrible and the main guy sulks around with a sroppy face ALL the way through calling ENERYONE a Cant and a wankar ... its based on the real murders in essex (essex boys is another movie following the same incident) - ive heard that this is a more accurate account , maybe so but the acting is appalling Oh just watch it if u can get it for nowt ! |

Actually "The valley" was Jackson's first film but i've seen neither however his 4th film "Braindead" is funny. |
