The Beatles' remastered back catalogue is set to be released next month on a new format – an apple-shaped USB device.

30,000 of the green USB devices, each containing the 14 recently-released remastered albums from the Liverpool legends, will be released on December 7 and will retail for £200 from Thebeatles.com

As well as the albums the USBs will contain digital artwork for the records plus 13 mini-documentary films. See Thebeatles.com for more information.

The Beatles albums included on the USB will be:

'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'
'Yellow Submarine'
'Revolver'
'With The Beatles'
'Beatles For Sale'
'Please Please Me'
'Magical Mystery Tour'
'The Beatles'
'Rubber Soul'
'Help!'
'Let It Be'
'Past Masters One and Two'
'A Hard Day's Night'
'Abbey Road'

£200 for a USB stick seems a little steep when the CD box set is around £50 cheaper for exactly the same content.

Wonder if other artists will release their back catalogue on a USB stick

I'm pretty sure the USB sticks will be read only, so you can't transfer any data off them onto your PC. In the same way you plug your iPod into your Xbox
