As much as this is a short game, I'm really enjoying this atm. The firefight mode is similar to GoW - Horde mode where you take on wave after wave of enemies. The challenge is to reach over 200,000 points on each of the maps for an achievement worth a measly 10 points per map completed. It normally takes at least an hour and a half per map to hit that kind of total and to make it a bit easier it's best played in 4 player co-op. Is there anyone else who wants to give these a go? Me, Coco, Gee and Jedi got the one for the Lost Platoon level the other day and it was fantastic fun. I should be free this evening (tuesday) and wednesday evening to try and blast a few levels through. Please note, you can't pause during play so you will die if you go to the toilet, get a brew, have a fag, etc. There's a share pool of lives and in the later waves of enemies when more skulls are turned on to make it interesting, every life counts! Anyone interested in going for these, post up when you're free and lets see if we can get some good games going. Ps, if anyone needs the Legendary difficulty levels doing I can jump in on these to help as well.

Yo, I will pop on tonight. not sure when though, as i've got to do the big shop and watch the football, so will just see who is online when i'm there. Alternativley, if anyones playing later, ie 10.30pm onwards and needs another for coop, i can play then. |

It's like Horde but I find Firefight a bit more enjoyable to play. Me and Coco got the crater achievement the other day and I also got Coco his "Be Like Marty" achievement. Here's a tip for fighting brutes with hammers - don't shoot the fuck out of them because even when you kill them you will have wasted too much ammo. The trick is to hit them from behind and they'll go die instantly. This can be done by side stepping as they lunge at you and turn round quickly and twat them before they recover (not so easy on any difficulty higher than easy) or your team mate(s) distract him and you twat him from behind. The majority of enemies will die from a hit from behind. |

i'll be on around 8 ish. i really enjoy firefight. not sure what one para and i were doing the other night but it was bloody good fun too. the one you start off with sniper rifles and there's banshee's and the anti-banshee cannon. |

Sods fucking law I put up a post for this and then I'm called into bloody work on a sleep over! For fucks sake! Wont be online tonight but hopefully will get on tomorrow night at some point. If anyone needs them I also have a guide for all the Audio Logs as well. Nice little 75 pointer but we need to redo the first 4 missions* before the map opens up for us to get all of them. I put it on easy and got them all within 4 hours of play. *In solo play the game keeps a record of all audio logs regardless of where you start the campaign. In multiplayer, it resets the count to zero so you have to start from the beginning. It's quite fast to zoom about the city on Mongoose's though!  @ Dr Raff - I'm normally only getting on about 10pm usually so the wife can watch her soaps and shit. If you see me online, give me a shout mate.

it's worth it tho it was mostly 25-27 bucks at time of release. firefight is bloody good fun plus it'll boost your waypoint standing. being able to play all playlists on halo 3 with the new map disc is handy as there are some bloody good ones out there now. |
