If you haven't heard of this saga then your in for a treat. These are sci-fi at it's very best. Dune Dune-Messiah Children of dune These are the original trilogy and are fuckin amazing. It’s all about the spice melange, a substance that can only be found on Dune a desert planet that is home to monster worms. The spice gives people abilities and prolongs life. It allows the Bene Gesserit witches to awake the voices of there ancestors use “voice” to control people. The guild navigator can see through space and the kwizatc hederacht can be everywhere at once. The plots interweave throughout the book and are subtle but intriguing. Full of revenge and friendship this books have it all. The is a second trilogy by Herbert God emperor of Dune Heritics of Dune Chapterhouse dune These are all ace as well Years after Herbert died his son and the guy who co-wrote the first series of the x-file tried to continue the stories. These are ok but do not read them before the originals Go here to find out more about these awsome books |

It's funny, but my mum doesn't like anyone saying "Moeadeeb". The reason being that a few years ago we were watching the grand national and there was a horse called that so my mum decided to support it. Durring the race she said the word like they do in the film and as soon as she did it the horse fumbled a jump and didn't get up again. She's convinced that she killed the horse by using that word. |

Dune is fantastic, i'm rereading it for the 2nd time now. Good to see another Dune fan, and i would recommend it to anyway. Its up there with Lord of the Rings as one of the greatest pieces of fiction. The fall of the well respected great house of Atreides by the treachery of the Emperor Shaddam VI and arch enemies of house Atreides House Harkonnen, and how that the son of the Duke with the help of a few million Fremen (desert people) rose up and cast them down with a jihad which spread across the universe. Yeah, i like that book. |

I'm pretty sure no horses were hurt during the writing of Dune and any horses in the book (and i'm pretty sure there weren't any) bear no relation to any horses living or dead. |
