Has anyone tried this free browser FPS? It looks impressive and thought I would give it a bash. I'm just downloading a plug-in at the moment http://www.quakelive.com/ Once you have downloaded the plug in then it will be installed and while it's doing that you choose your character and your controls to how you want them. You'll then play through the tutorial with your host "Crash" and then fight against her 1 on 1. Winning or losing against her will decide your starting skill level. In your profile it will have your stats, awards, friends and record of past matches and competitors. You can play online or if your not ready then you practice against bots in the arena or go back to the training area. Online matchmaking will first pick the best games based on your skill level, simply put your mouse cursor on the game and a pop up will tell you the match type then simple click on it and click the play button. The game types are free for all, team deathmatch, CTF, Duel and Clan Arena The site has a online tour and manual to tell you everything you need to know |

i dislike the IE layout and since i reinstalled my poota ive not bothered to install Firefox , as Chrome is dandy mandy |

I like to have a second browser on the rare occasion that my main browser decides it mess me about and I can use the second to look for a solution. And on the rare time of browser compatibility with a web site. |

yeah it pains to say it , but on IE the forum looks normal , the top rockers page isnt messed up with the chat box hiding the list of rockers ! duh! |

Nothing like Quake wars, more like Quake 2. The web site and the look of the game work well and it runs fairly smoothly for a browser game and the addition of awards/achievements is a nice touch but it's all let down by the fact that you can be chasing after someone shooting the fuck out of them with rockets and they turn round and kill you with one rocket. Then you re-spawn to be killed immediately, re-spawn again and die, rinse and repeat till you think fuck this and quit. |
