i prefer the guitar hero world tour guitar but all guitars will work with this game. the auto calibration is on the new wireless rb guitar which i don't have but it's easy to set it up manually. you only need to calibrate it if you're having problems. i reckon if you're not bothered about wires then get the gh2 guitar for 20 earth pounds. |

the gh guitars are better, they have a micro switch in them that clicks when you strum so you know you've hit the strum bar. the rb guitar doesn't and it feels squishy and wrong imo. it's all down to preference and what you're used to really. most people prefer the guitar hero guitar. i think there is a deal coming up for gh5 and a new guitar. i'll post about that later when i look it up. |

meatyfiend is brilliant!

from everyone that has used both, i heard the Guitar hero ones are far better. as coco said, you may need calibrate but that's it. i've been using a guitar hero 2 wired one for ages now (GH3, RB1 and RB2), but it's on the verge of death :s |

well from hammering all of them to death i'd say the gh2 control is your best bet... the gh3 is ok but prone to fucking right up very easily as the neck doesn't connect to the body of the guitar properly... the world tour guitar is a bit better, bigger strum bar, bit heavier and nicer feel with the neck being modified to fit far better as well, but mine broke within 2 weeks of having the bastard thing the gh2 is the best imo... i've just had to buy a new one as the last just broke, but that served me since gh2 was released, played on it many more hours learning to get to expert then hammering it on expert plus still worked after being thrown about quite vigorously when i got annoyed lol... the MeatyFiend says gh2 control is the best!!! |
