I really like the UI and I am thinking of a purchase of this one, which is unusual for me as I don't go for rally-type games. You're right though, Boomer. It's too close to Forza3 to make me get my wallet out. |

This looks great. As I don't own a racing game yet. but, as Johnny says Xmas here before you know it, and there's some good games coming out. Tough choices to make. |

i never played the 1st dirt but this one is supposedly comparable to grid but off road rallying. grid was shit hot. forza might just pip this one tho. |

this is shit fucking hot , the races are fun and exciting ... in a way that the brilliiant forza isnt . i love my racers and there hasnt been a Rally game in years that gave a proper sense of grip/loss of grip and a feel for the road since CM2 /Vrally2 and SegaRally2. the last couple of CM endorsed games fell into the 5th wheel trap (u felt like there was a fith wheel in the middle of the car giving unrealistic controls . The music on this game is probably the best ive heard , not heard a shit track yet (which is lucky coz i cant find the playlist thingy) anyways , can i recommend this ???? i dunno , as its been said theres a lot of games on the horizon and this wont be played as much when Forza arrives .But if thrills and seat of the pants driving is wot ur after , with a great ghost/timeattack mode then buy it !! a final comparison with Forza n this would be that the single player mode of all these "epic" racers - Forza/gran tourismo are fucking boring to play against the AI in SP , but Forza is a monster online and i never tire of the time trial challenges and the lap time stat tracking the game does . I think there is room for both in a collection , think Halo and Cod ;) |

anyone who has this played the online races? i just found them all to be dirty bastards like every other online racer. put me off the MP side of it after only an hour lol, other than that, tis ace. |
