I put it here because it's more of a shooter than fallout3, which is more of an RPG. Borderlands anyone else noticed this? looks pretty good and big. but one point is doing it with 4 people and keeping all the weapons and items you get, and the xp. I'm really interested but multi-player seems to be it's main point, so i thought i'd get some of your interest too, looks like it should be good seeing as each class plays differently aswell. your thoughts? |

well it's more of an RPG than online deathmatch. so i think 4 is the max. i don't think there's a hub either like phantasy star, so friends can just jump in and out to help. so it's a massive world with quests to do but as a fast FPS compared to Fallout3. |

I am 100% getting this at launch, girlfriend has already paid up for it. Dunno who i'm gonna be, havent looked that much, but she's going to be the bird. I can see me investing alot of hours into this. Suprised there's not that much of a buzz about it! |

I think they should try and move themselves away from the FPS crowd, as there's more than enough people liking RPG's for them to market to. with the drought of games being released before xmas, and the numbers moved to Q1 and 2 2010, they should be trying hard to get themsleves noticed and pick up some folks who would arent that bothered about MW2. wishful thinking though. |

Here are some of the most common questions that have been given a definitive answer regarding vehicles and loot: How many guns?! Borderlands has more guns than any other game. We stopped counting a while ago. The number is in the millions, but the point is that there's always a better gun for you, one that fits your playstyle. What are guns like? There are many classes of weapons (such as shotguns, sniper rifles, etc). There are also many manufacturers that all impart different bonuses and features to the weapon. Some of these features include elemental damage. The weapons are generated procedurally, and are assigned rarity values and level restrictions. What about alien weapons? Yep, they're in the game, and they're crazy. Do guns break? Nope, we're not going to break your favorite gun. Do I Build Guns? Guns are not created by players - you will find guns all over the planet and will constantly be searching for that perfect weapon. Rarity? Rarity is represented by a color-coded system that many gamers are familiar with. You'll be able to tell how rare the item you got was from this system. From least to most rare, the colors are white, green, blue, purple, orange. Is there armor? There are tons of items that change your character. Those are detailed in the next question. You can change the color of your character, but most items do not change the physical appearance of your character. What else is there? In addition to 87 bazillion guns, you'll find: grenade mods: Change the behavior of your grenades class mods: class-specific items that will modify your skills, stats, and more artifacts: mysterious rare drops that modify your abilities further shields: protect you, and also might have special effects upon depletion, etc ammo/inventory upgrades Shields and Health When your shield is depleted entirely, you will begin taking damage to your health. Your shield will regenerate after you have not taken any hits for an amount of time (determined by the shield). Health does not regenereate. Healing items? Enemies will drop "health vials," which can be used to immediately restore a portion of health. You will also find/purchase healing kits that can be carried in your inventory and used to restore some health over time. Loot System? Loot in Borderlands in currently free-for-all. What Are Elemental Effects? Guns can come with a chance to deal elemental damage to enemies - shock, corrosive, incendiary, and explosive are types that are known. Different types are advantageous in different situations - for instance, shock weapons deplete shields effectively. Vehicles? Borderlands has vehicles that you can use in combat and to get around from place to place. The standard runner has been shown, but few details have been discussed regarding customization as of now. What about currency? What can I do with it? You'll find lots of currency, in dollars, lying around Pandora and dropping off of enemies. It can be used to purchase items, weapons, and healing from vending machines scattered throughout the world. Deffo getting this one. I like the general ideas behind a Mad Max esquire free roam shooter with RPG elements. Should have a lot of playability on it as well! Hope the co-op lives up to expectations..... |

Play pre-order Play are doing the only uk pre-order bonus I can see. The guns are supposedly brotherhood in arms guns, dont know never played it but 8 unique guns is pretty sweet and im tempted but Im gona go to the gud old shop and pay a premium coz i want this on release! I only found this out today but gearbox (the developers) are the ones behind alot of the half-life games and the publishers are, 2k games are the publishers for bioshock. Pretty gud pedigree if you ask me |

If your a tight cunt like me or really want the game on release shopto are doing a good service to beat the strike Uk mail postal strike beater for £1.99 the're offering guarenteed next day delivery which is very customer focused of them I think. Fuck me the game hasn't been released yet and they have already announced the first DLC. Which will be "The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned" for 800msp No solid release date but it will be close to when the game is released and will follow in the footsteps of Fallout 3 and release other DLC through the year. |
