i signed up for beta testing microshafts new operating system bloody ages ago but due to one thing or another i haven't actually got round to taking part and trying it out. testing is now finished and the release candidate is available for a free trial until march next year (i think?) anyhoo i think i might install it today and give it a whirl. i had vista for a short while on my desktop but didn't really like it as my main o/s even tho i use it on my laptop happily enough. anybody tried it out or thinking of changing? |

i've tried it out. kind of like vista in terms of how it looks, but is much faster apparently - better support for 64 bit processing. the beta trial functionality begins degrading after october when it's released, until march i think, when it becomes unusable. I'll be putting it on a virtual pc when I get a new one in a couple months. Edited by dodmaster, Aug 12 2009, 10:24 AM.
