Speaking to G4TV recently, following the successful relaunch of The Secret of Monkey Island on the Xbox Live Arcade, LucasArts' Darrell Rodriguez hinted at the resurrection of the classic X-Wing and TIE Fighter series.

When asked whether the two titles would make a return, Rodriguez commented, "we don't have any announcements now, but stay tuned," before twisting the knife further and noting, "we will soon....."

That certainly suggests that there are more LucasArts classics on the way, but will they be of a Star Wars variety? Who knows? If they all follow the success of the Xbox Live Arcade version of Monkey Island recently, then we could be knee deep in LucasArts classics this time next year.

Remake, or resurrection of the series for the next generation? Either would be welcomed
