might as well give this game it's own thread. it's coming out in september some time. 2 limited edition geetars are on sale for £89.99 george harrisons gretch and john lennons rickenbacker, but this doesn't include the software. there will also be a solus edition and a band in a box which has the hofner bass, ludwig drums, mic and mic stand.

i think they responded to critisism over the strum bars and added micro switches to them. don't think they'll be worth the money but if they price drop or get good reviews i might get one.

Cologne, Germany – August 19, 2009 – Speaking at Gamescom 2009, Alex Rigopulos, CEO and cofounder of Harmonix, the world’s leading developer of music-based games and a part of Viacom’s MTV Networks (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), today confirmed release details for the three Beatles albums that will be available for purchase as downloadable content in The Beatles™: Rock Band™ Music Store by the end of this year. Abbey Road will be released on October 20, 2009, followed by the release of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band in November and Rubber Soul in December.

Additionally, Rigopulos revealed that tracks from Queen, Nirvana, Tom Petty, Elton John, Iggy Pop, The White Stripes, Pantera, Talking Heads, Korn, The Raconteurs and more will be among the artists coming to the various offerings across the Rock Band™ platform. With over 800 songs available to date via the Rock Band catalog and 1000 by end of 2009, the billion dollar selling and genre-defining Rock Band franchise continues to be the gold standard in music video games by completely dominating its closest competition with its massive music library, weekly downloadable content and artist offerings, innovation, and superior gameplay (Rock Band 2 average metacritic score: 92). yeah i'm realy digging this. done all the songs in the story and did the encore. most of the chevvies, as always, are tied up in doing stuff on expert. in batches of fab 4's! i was singing along to nearly every song so i'm looking forward to doing the vocals. might try and do the vocals along with the guitar for a laugh and see how i get on.

i did story on Vocals , it was awesome ... there are only 3 that arnt very good to sing along to ..

2 on the last Album and Back in the USSR , the rest are great .
I did the Bass ( medium )+ harmonies (expert) and 100% the harmnies on expert vocals --- did them both at the same time ,stuffing the mic down me top LOL

"if you like the beatles!!!" haha. if you like rockband it's a pretty good title. the dreamscapes when you get to the abbey road section are really pretty spectacular. for a casual beatles fan a lot of the song's are kinda jammed in your subconscious so you'll catch yourself singing along a whole load of times and getting right into the game. it's a decent entry level for those that haven't picked up any guitar games before, i blasted thru on medium and it wasn't very challenging so i don't think people who play extreme death metal on expert will like it unless they're proper beatles fans.

imo rockband2 is a must have title simply for the sheer amount of dlc and good times you can have with it. not so sure this is a must have but it really is very fucking good and with a couple of albums of dlc coming out leading up to chrimbo it should have a shed load of replayability.

hope that's a better answer amigo

the RB brand is a bit easier on the skills than GH so if ur after pure fun then RB would be your first choice , if you like to sing along or jam along to choons you know then there will be about 30 songs that everyone will recognise , there was only a couple i didnt know , but then i was brought up on the Beatles as me dad was a fan Lol . .
a must buy ??? if you have tried this genre before and didnt like then its no different , just IMO better fucking music .

coco about the missing song from story

is it "can't buy me love" ??? ive not got a score on the online leaderboard in vocals , tho i have one in band mode ?!?! --- i was wondering if it wasnt included in the story , coz you get 45 songs in the game ,but the chevvy for beating all songs at 5 star is for 43 songs (you do unlock a song at the end of story)

lol

No the answer is simple that the entire Beatles back catalogue was re-issued on Wednesday including the Box set with 16 albums in it after it was digitally re-mastered.
I was just going to say that anyway but expected one of you to say that you already knew that.

aye , that is wot they did , but i reckon Apple corp chose to release the Remastered CDs on the 9/9/09 t for a reason . . . . the whole number nine thing n playing the song backwards is one of the biggest myths and talked about curiosity of the whole Beatles anthology .

No reason at all for the date that was the date picked and made sense to release the game the same day
http://br.st/Nl

Spoke to my Dad today and he's bought the box set, so going to see if I can borrow it to upload to iTunes.
Saves me £170 (which I don't have anyway)

that was one of the main thing's that started the paul is dead rumours. i still think there is a deeper mystical reason for picking that date and me and daz got it right, so meh!

Additional Beatles Rock Band DLC Dependent On Sales

For various reasons, The Beatles Rock Band's DLC is a bit different from the standard fare. Harmonix is prepared to launch DLC packs for the game over the course of the next three months, but they are taking a wait-and-see approach after that.
"It's not like Rock Band where we wait for the masters to come in and just author them ... its like, send people to Abbey Road, use the original tape, separate them out," Harmonix representative John Drake told BBPS.

In addition, Harmonix has to create more of the original dreamscapes that serve as Beatles Rock Band's calling card. As a result, producing more DLC costs "thousands of dollars," Drake said.
