Installing and viewing channels that you haven't subscribed to is illegal. These boxes exist because in some parts of Europe, you subscribe to a cable tv provider and then your free to buy whichever box you want, whereas here the T&Cs of Virgin and the like state that you must use thier box. From what little I know the work perfectly well. You'll need to make sure that you buy one that's setup to work with Virgin/Telewest as the unit requires software to run. As far as I know the work like any other set top box. That's it as far as I know pal, not my area I'm afraid.

Self Pleasuring Simian Posts: 5,791 Group: Admin Member #2 Joined: Dec 24, 2007	when im looking for football to watch on the net , there are a lot of people discussing the best way to view (for free of course ) the initial investment seems quite high and from what i was reading , it seems you need a new Satelite capable of rotation (not sure if im right there) there will be plenty of sites covering it somewhere no doubt
