Most people will already know the follow, but for those that don't here is how to speed up Firefox. First of all open a new tab cause you'll need to come back here. 1. In the address bar type about:config and enter, you'll be greeted with a "Here be dragons" box. Click the "I'll be carefully" box 2. Look for network.http.pipelining (or put it into the filter box) and change it to true (by double clicking the left mouse button) 3. Next look for network.http.proxy.pipelining and also set this to true 4. Now look for network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and change the number to around 30 (I changed mine to 50) 5. Finally right click anywhere on the page and select New > Integer and name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set the value to 0 6. Done and your web sites should load up quicker, if not then you fucked something up Edited by Gee, Jun 6 2009, 01:57 PM.

ive been running this for 3/4 days now and i set the figure to 35 , for me the BBC website runs slower , the football forums i use run slower , and when searching thru gamplay the pics took about 5 seconds to load up !! , i think ill set it back to how it was and see if it does improve it or not |

set mine to 75 and it crashed me browser, my pc's fucked and wouldn't load at that speed lol, changed it down to 30 and its good for now so i'll leave it at that |
