Microsoft has released a service update for all versions of its Windows Vista operating system.
The computer giant claims that the update improves the stability, security and performance of the software.
The update, or service pack, includes some fixes released before now and adds many new ones as well.

Microsoft has warned that the update could clash with some security software and other programs customers may have installed on their machine.

Those using Vista can download the update directly from Microsoft or wait for it to be automatically installed on their machine in mid-April.

its approx 435mb and takes about 8mins to download , but a lot lot longer to install

shiver me joists :D -

my 3month norton free trial ran out yesterday ... hurraaahhh :D

but urm Claire bought norton360 booooooo !!!

I thought it would have a duck fit installing 360 over the trial Norton , but shag a tortoise !!! it auto uninstalled the trial , didnt require any button prodding and worked well!!.

Norton STILL dosent do a proper auto update - it still requires a prompt from the user - which is scandalous gahh!

Still when my years up im gonna be staight off back to F-Secure even if they have solved the quirks of 2003 - 2006

That LiveUpdate is annoying. That's why I prefer AVG instead because it's free and updates when you fire up the computer.

agree with Caged on this one... why pay for something when the free software is better?!
