Posts: 6,395 Group: Admin Member #7 Joined: Dec 27, 2007 Xbox Live Gamertag the mighty coco	i have a set of medusa 5.1 surround headphones, i got em when i was into p.c games and they made a huge difference to my frag rates. trouble is i don't think they work with xbox live chat. i'm going to try putting my box through my receiver and the headphones through that, and give it a whirl. i just won't have chat when i use em. does anybody else have or use headphones for getting serious sessions? do you guys have a home cinema set-up with your xbox included? i'm kinda toying with the idea of re-jigging my whole system around, if you folks have any ideas/recommendations

Roasted & Toasted Posts: 74 Group: Member Member #3 Joined: Dec 24, 2007	I use a surround sytem, which I mainly brought for DVD's and from day one on the 360 I have connected it using an optical cable, by far the best way. Although I believe HDMI has both vision and sound running through the one cable. But you can still get surround sound on some through an amp (if you want to) although some new TV's with HDMI have surround sound systems built in. As for headphones I ain't got a clue

Deleted User	Coco... regarding headphones then try contacting Elbro @ CwNN I know he got some decent ones that worked with his old Xbox... think they were surround ones too if I recall correctly (?!) hope that helps

Posts: 668 Group: Clan Member Member #78 Joined: Jun 28, 2008	OH MY FUCKING GOD !!!! just gave them a whirl and they are fucking brill .... you can hear absolutely everything , footsteps bullets flying past your head and they really get you into the game.you can hear directions of shots and if someone is coming behind you they nearly burst my eardrum..they have a chat feature that if the game volume is up loud the chat voice adjusts itself .. a bit expensive ..but worth the money guys

Like I said before the X1s are wired but the sound is fantastic, Jack as a pair and i'm sure he will tell you the same of course Mick has the wireless ones(big head) lol

I saw the X41's, and they made me dribble in a very Homer Simpson way, didn;t even know 7.1 existed! very cool, but if i buy them then my decent to gaming geek will be complete, the X1's would be justifiable.
