It hadn't been the quietest of mornings at the Raggler's Inn. She had woken up to some rather vicious yelling in the hallways accompanied by some door slamming and some more yelling. But she decided to slip away before her curiosity got the best of her. The others already didn't trust her, getting involved in some in group drama that didn't concern her wouldn't be the best way to leave an impression on her new teammates. So Syria decided to explore the Market district a bit until the storm calmed down. Though all the shops had been only opened for barely an hour the street was already bustling with activity. People moved from shop to shop, searching for the latest items and bargaining for the best price. Syria wondered if there was anything she needed. From her understanding they were only in Edeuro to rest and would most likely be making their next move soon. Of course, if she were rich her first stop would have been to the local weapon shop, for some nice upgrades and possibly a dagger since her bow skills were lacking. But Syria had been low on cash well before she met the others and she had yet to find a job. "Well, that's out of the question. So I guess the next stop is...the bar?" She said to herself with a grin. OOC: tag anyone. =) |

xar wandering around town since before sunrise, he hoped nobody had rented a room for him since he hadn't used it at all. he wouldn't be able to keep affording the rooms anyway but he just prefered sleeping in the open, afterall he had been sleeping in the open for a long time before he met the spades. since their meeting he had slept once or twice in a bed. sleeping in the open also made him wake up alot earlyer, and thus he had been walking through the city. he wasn't actualy looking to buy something since he had a lack of funds, and he didn't need anything anyway. while walking he was thinking about his adventure of the sevenpointed star. so far he hadn't told anyone about it, then again nobody had realised that he had been goon for more then a night, so why would they believe that he had been locked up for a year long and forced to fight to earn back his freedom. every time he thought about it it made less sense so he didn't really think he would ever tell them. suddenly a rock shot away from under xar's foot and he nearly tripped, as he grabbed a nearby wall to prevent falling down he noticed the new girl. as he walked towards her he tried to remember her name, it was something like syreen, no not syreen, maybe sylvia, no not that either. as he reached her he still didn't knew her name for sure so he just guessed. "hey, syria? how are you?" |

Before Syria could storm off in the direction of the bar a voice from the crowd singled her out. Syria turned to her left to find the boy from the day before approaching her. He was a peculiar boy, this one. From the moment she met him she felt he was slightly different then the others. Perhaps it was due to this fact that Syria liked him so much. He didn't seem as uptight as the others did. Syria waved in greeting as Xar approached, "Hey Xar! I'm doing alright, just avoiding the inn right now. Seems like your friends woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. But how about you? Where'd you go last night? You disappeared after we got to the inn." |

"i went to the nearby forrest, i find a bed of moss just as soft as the ones you find in an inn, the air is cleaner the food is fresher and it's alot cheaper." he smilled a bit as he said that last part. he pointed to his bare chest and then continued. "as you may have noticed i'm not really the rich kind. but i don't mind, people with money seem to worry to much about it anyway. so what do you plan on doing while the lovecouple finishes killing eachother?" |

Syria laughed at Xar's last comment. So he was on a tight budget as well. Syria placed her hand on her money pouched and thought for a bit. Perhaps she would do what Xar did tonight. Despite how comfortable the inn was, her funds would deplete rapidly if she continued to board there. The only problem was Syria wasn't particularly fond of the forest, it brought back too many unwanted memories. She could always find a comfortable rooftop to camp out on. Her wings would provide enough cushion and warmth for her. "I'm with you Xar. Unfortunately if I go around with a bare chest I would most likely get arrested," she added with a wide grin, "Well actually I was thinking about hitting the bar. I don't really have anything I need to buy and if I'm spending money I'd rather it be on some nice booze. Care to join me? It'll be my treat!" |

xar smilled at Syria. "ofcourse i'll join you, free legal booze, who wouldn't join in, especialy with such a pretty girl as company. but not too much booze, please. it's will be my first time drinking it legally and before today it's been over a year since i drank some. and although i don't really care what people think of me, i hate the hangover i get after beeing drunk." he came a bit closer to her so only she would be able to hear his wispers. "besides i tend to loose control and with my powers that wouldn't be wise, afterall burning down a barr is never good let alone when done with forbidden tools." he pulled a bit away as he reached for his sack of coins and while tossing it a bit in his hand he spoke with a grin. "but the second drink is on me, i might be a dirty poor lowlife, but i still have maners." |

So Xar had a low tolerance for alcohol. Well now, that sounded like fun. Syria couldn't help but grin at the idea of getting him drunk. There was a first time for everything. But the thought vanish from her mind as soon as he leaned in and reminded her the consequences of them losing control. Right. They were different, they had powers. If anything, their drunken state would potentially endanger bystanders as well as themselves. Not that Syria had to worry of course. She'd never truly reached the state of being drunk and had an abnormally high alcohol tolerance. "Right, so we won't overdo it. After all, I'm sure the others wouldn't appreciate our druken stupor," she added with a small laugh. Syria glanced at xar's money pouch then back at him. She nodded in agreement, "Alright! It's settled then. To the bar!" Without a second though Syria nearly dragged Xar to the popular Ten Ton Bar. As they got there Syria found two empty chairs and gestured for Xar to follow her. She sat down on the stool and ordered two beers from the bartender, placing the gold coins on the table as payment. It was barely a minute before two large glasses filled with a golden liquid to appear in front of them. Syria grabbed the handle of her cup and raised it happily in front of Xar, "Cheers!" With that she took a large drink, nearly emptying a third of it in her first gulp. Syria placed the cup down once more and let out a satisfied sigh. A good drink always made her day better. Especially since she didn't get to fly around much lately. Flying had always been her way of letting loose but the authorities seemed rather scary as of late. "So what's your story Xar? You said you joined the group under different circumstances like me." Syria asked as she took a small sip of beer. Edited by Syria Kraemeen, Oct 2 2009, 08:50 AM.

xar had happely toasted together with Syria but he din't take such a large drink, he didn't want to sufficate on his first drink. he smiled and enjoyed the fact of them just drinking and forgetting about the world, but that soon changed as she asked about his story. he didn't really wanted to tell he felt like she had the right to know. his face turned a bit moddy as he started talking. "my mom had died while giving birth to my brother. my father me and my brother had lived hapely and peacefully till about a year ago. about a year ago the human soldiers had invaded my town and while my father tried to defend the town he was killed, my brother had been killed before my eyes because he wasn't doing as the soldiers told us. i escaped a while later and ever sine i had been living on hate for the royal family and the soldiers. when i met her i saw my chance to take revenge and attacked her wthout caring for my own life. luckely they had stopped me or i would have killed the wrong person but i think it would be more lickely that i would have died in vane. right now i know i have a goal in life but i have no idea what that goal is, so untill i find what my goal is i'm staying with the group to prevent anyone from going through what i went through." |

Syria had been listening so intently that she had nearly forgotten the promise to herself to finish the first cup of beer within five minutes. It had been difficult being kicked out of the only place she ever had to call home, but she imagined that watching your loved ones killed before your eyes would be far more painful. Syria picked up her glass and raised it in Xar's direction. "Your parents would be proud. Let's work hard and save the world!" Syria said as she tapped her glass against his. Before he could utter another word Syria tilted the liquid into her mouth and finished the rest of her glass. She placed the empty cup back on the table and looked at Xar with a large grin on her face. "Drink up~ Heroes of the new world deserve to let loose sometimes. Don't worry, I'll make sure you don't do anything crazy." Edited by Syria Kraemeen, Oct 7 2009, 12:39 PM.

like always after he had thought back on what had caused him to get in this place he forgot to care about anything. his pain and sadness had been burried deep inside of him because he could't stand it. he had already forgotten about his promise not to get too drunk so he emptyed everything that had been left in his glass in one sip and raised his hands to ask for a refill. as he waited for the refill he was already starting to feel lightheaded. he looked at her and then replied to her words. "i don't care about beeing a hero. i'll destroy the ones that caused this. i'll eliminate all evil till the day i die. what's the difference between been seen as a hero and beeing seen as a villian. nothing unless someone knows the reasons for doing what you did. all my friends have been whiped out so i no longer have to worry about what people think of me." |
