this time xar tried his luck by swimming to the left but once again he was just to slow seeing as how his one leg wasn't willing to move properly. he tried to scream as the sharks teeth slid past his lower leg cutting open his other leg. luckily the shark had been to confused by the ice so it hadn't closed it mouth therefor allowing xar to keep his foot as the shark past him. without his legs xar tried something desperately and grabbed hold of the fin of the shark. he had to try his best not to let lose because of the speed. when Xar noticed that the shark was heading right towards the group he created a pillar of flames right next to the gilsl of the shark. the pillar disappeared quickly but before it was gone it had already done some damage. 95/110 MP |

The shark's body moved like a snake's as it swam toward Poco and the Spades. The instantaneous burn caused by Xar's fire pillar caused it to favor its weak side somewhat; thus, it approached them with its sleek, white body tilted at an angle. Lornayth swung the staves in his hands backward, propelling himself into the shark's line of sight. It changed course and headed straight for him. If it worked before.. Lor formed another ice barrier in the water between himself and the shark. It appeared much lower than the shark, naturally, because the ice's density would cause it to rocket up toward the surface. To Lornayth's horror, it passed between him and the predator a moment too soon. Frantically, he jabbed Xar's staff forward and struck the shark's nose. The force behind the attack was irrelevant; the shark stormed onward, and the staff forced Lornayth underneath it. The shark's underbelly cracked against his jaw audibly. Lor felt the world spinning, and then the shark's tail fin smacked him in the nose. He reflexively grabbed onto the shark's tail with all his dwindling strength. Blood surged out of his nostrils, trailing behind them. In an act mostly of annoyance, the ice mage flooded the shark's tail fin with a deep chill. Ice spread over it like a helium-filled balloon attached to a small child's arm. Clearly, the ice only had a slight effect on the shark's swimming capabilities, but if it was enough to grant someone else an opportunity, Lor decided it was worth the trouble. "HOT HANDS!" he yelled at the mage hanging onto the shark further up. "Burn this bastard!" *80/130 MP* |

Xar used his 'burn' ability to start burning the shark. as he was burning it he created another 2 pillars on the belly of the shark. xar could feel the temperature of the water rising allot which mush have had his effect on the shark. and while still holding on xar kept burning the skin of the shark making the burns worse with the second. "what's his weak spot? these burns only make it more wild and angry." |

Breathing heavily trying his best to get a hold of his head and collect his thoughts in the battle proved difficult. I can stand now, looks like I’ll be able to fight a bit after all, but I should fight smarter right now, not harder. The large pale grey shark with rows on rows of teeth would be difficult enemy; here he has the upper ground. “All this is is a big fish we just have bait and lure him!” Sapaqura yelled to the others. “These things love wounded fishes or whatever else bleeds, I can be the bait, but I have no other ideas beyond that.” saying to others with a nervous tone. Hunting is hunting I suppose, but I never thought I would be the bait… |

"lor if the shark attacks our knight i need you to jam his mouth. i don't care how you do it just prevent him from biting me when i go inside the mouth. i'll take it from there." Xar didn't really like his own plan but he didn't see any other way to kill the shark. |

Elita saw the blood falling from Lor's and Xar's bodies. She felt horrible. There was no way her arrows would be of any help to them. She looked at Tynne and before she could even say anything, the fox swam away. She saw Tynne moving as fast as he could trying to catch the shark. "No Tynne!" Of course Tynne was bait if he got hurt. He wasn't able to swim as well, nor could he do much to protect him self. Elita soon saw him hanging by the tail of the shark. She gasped and when she saw the end of the tail fin fall of she let out a sigh of relief. She then could see the Shark slow down a significant amount. "Only one try. Watch out everyone!" Elita took several arrows and bound them into one. The large arrow flew through the water, slowing down as it approached the shark. It hit the shark in the side of the mouth, knocking out some teeth and part of it's outer jaw. No way in hell I will even get that close again.. |

"Got it," Lor said just over the sound of rushing water. He pulled his way up the shark's body, wrapping his arms tightly around it to secure himself when it began thrashing about in pain. The staves he carried up until his collision with the shark now drifted aimlessly toward the surface high above due to chunks of ice attached to one end of each. He couldn't hope to cling to the shark's wriggling body without both hands free. Let's just hope I can get to its mouth before it gets to Sapaqura.. Lornayth straddled the shark's back, slid his arms forward, and scooted the same distance to reposition himself. If he dared to let go at any point, he was certain he would tumble into the open sea only to be bashed in the skull by the shark's massive, wounded tail or - worse yet - devoured. The mage created a chunk of ice for each of his hands on the shark's body and held onto those instead. The shark's back and forth motions slowed, and Lor took his chance. He shifted one hand forward, created another handhold, and used it to propel himself to the upper fin. From there, pushing backward on the fin launched him through the water to the shark's mouth. He grimaced. "I never want to be this close to a shark's teeth again.." he grumbled. He created two more ice handholds on the shark - one over each of its nostrils. The shark started moving wildly like a raging bull. Its direction was no longer Sapaqura. Rather, it intended to charge blindly into the group of three in hopes of tearing apart one or more of them. Its mouth opened wide, and Lor placed his elbows in front of the chunks of ice to hold himself in place. His hands reached just inside the corners of the shark's mouth, but before he could form the necessary brace to hold its mouth wide open.. ..A sound like grinding metal tore through the water, and Lor stared in detached awe at the blood rushing past the shark's head. The mouth opened again; Lornayth spread ice over it, jamming it into place. When he withdrew his hands, he felt his body slacken. Three of his fingers on each hand had been bitten off just past pinky-length. The shattered flesh and bone reacted painfully to the salt water. Lor gripped his elbows and pulled himself closer to the shark with his legs to avoid having to see its bloody handiwork. *60/130 MP* |

xar took his chance when lor had managed to make sure the mouth woulnd't close anytime soon. he used the same handholds that lor had used and got as far forwards as he could. and thanks to Elita xar managed to place a hand inside the mouth. with all his strenght he pulled himself fowards and crept inside the giant mouth of the shark. he had to concentrate to not run in fear but then he releashed his fury and created 3 firewalls inside the shark. the heat that came out of the insides were great and just as xar started to smile thinking it should kill the shark, he heard a crack. quickly he looked at the ice blocking the shark jaws and saw it breaking from strenght and heat. xar tryed to push himself out of the jaws using his feet but instead he fell down from pain. while trying his best he crept frorward out of the jaws. but apparently he was to slow, as he was half out the ice snapped and the jaws closed although not with the strenght to snap him in two. the teeth pierced his stomach and back but the shark just shook his head wildly and tossed him away. xar tried to swim away but the pain paralized him and things started to go black before his eyes. 10/110 MP |

Lornayth dropped back to the stronger of the two sets of gills and spread a layer of ice over them, effectively suffocating the dying shark. Its insides were burned, its gills were damaged and boarded up, and its most reliable form of navigation - its nostrils - were useless. The shark picked up speed to try and pump more water through its gills, but it was futile; its oxygen levels dropped drastically. From out of the depths, a black shadow tumbled toward the shark and scratched across one of its eyes with a set of claws. The cat tumbled into Lor, and both of them fell backward through the water. The shark's movements ceased. For a moment, Lor allowed himself to drift through the water in silence. His mind was elsewhere. They had somehow managed to kill the shark after all.. He stared up at the distant surface of the water, at the dark clouds past that.. And as lightning struck far above him, he remembered a crucial detail: their staves were on their way to the surface. He released Neve and pushed her in the direction of the gigantic carp. As poor as his swimming ability was, he knew he had plenty of time to reach their weapons.. Provided he could find them, anyway. Nearing the surface, he felt his body tremble at a lightning strike. He blinked in almost literal shock. Hm.. This isn't really safe.. Luckily, he spotted the wooden rods floating nearby and kicked his legs harder to reach them. He splashed his head out of the water for just a few seconds and witnessed what could only be called a beautiful scene of destruction. The storm clouds high in the air churned, driven by monstrous winds, and lightning clapped against the rising and falling waves in bright flashes. He nearly forgot that he would be killed if it struck anywhere close to him. Something gripped his leg. Lor dipped back underwater to examine it and found Neve clinging to his ankle with her front paws. He sighed and dove the rest of the way under to rejoin the group. He had what he needed, after all. Three seconds after he re-submerged, lightning struck directly overhead. A tiny, striped fish swimming close to the surface suffered the brunt of the lightning bolt; it was killed instantly. Lornayth's vision faded somewhat as he neared the others. He stared at his missing fingers, detached from the pain. "Look.. Isn't that disgusting..?" he murmured. His eyes closed. *50/130 MP* |

Elita gasped and swam toward Lornayth. She put his arm over her shoulder and gagged at the sight of his missing bloodied fingers. "So gross." She said to her self. "Someone get Xar, we need to get back inside Poco Sal." Elita swam toward the giant carp, holding on to the two staffs given to Lornayth. She Kicked her legs hard and did her best to stay with the others. "Fleuria, you will have to summon Agopi again." She looked at the Princess' untouched skin. I understand that all she really can do is summon, but I mean, come on. A little effort Fleuria? Elita laughed under her breath as she swam. |
