Fleuria smiled and swiftly grabbed Elita in a tight hug. She let out a relieved sigh as she kept her friend close in her grasp. After a moment she pulled away. "It's alright. I'm just glad you're okay now, Elita. Just don't go harping on non-sense about how you think you're burdenning us again." She smiled once more. |

Once Fleuria and Elita finished their sentimental embrace, Lor gripped Elita's hand tightly and pulled her head to his chest. He smiled down at her without a word until she pulled away. "We should call it a night if you're feeling better. The journey to Yesmuth won't be an easy one." Already, he could feel a chill settling in his muscles - not the sort of cold caused by the air, but rather, one caused by fatigue. He yawned and dropped back into the sand for what felt like the hundredth time. And the stars would have me believe this has been but a single night? Surely they're lying. |

Xar watched the others fall asleep one by one. as he had said before he wouldn't sleep because of the pain in his feet. also he had felt sadness in Fleuria and had thought of an idea how he could bring some happiness to her. as soon as all were fast asleep he started working on his idea. xar carefully formed a base from freshly made glass. it was hard since he was creating such a small shape that had to hold a content as well. carefully he molded the glass into shape till it was almost just right. it had taken him at least an hour to make the shape now he just had to make sure the shape wouldn't change while it was cooling. after finally getting it completely right he poured water over the two shaped cooling them completely. he inspected them to see it it was good enough and when he was satisfied he poured a bit of sand inside and then some more water. once it was nearly full he placed it on the ground so he could start the hardest part of his job, closing it completely. it was a thought job since he needed to add glass without letting it fall inside the orb. slowly but surely he managed to close them. he looked at the orbs and was satisfied with his work. he now was holding 2 small spheres made of glass containing water and sand. finally he stopped working for a bit to rest his hands they were already showing signs of burnings but he didn't want to stop his work. after resting his hands some he started making fresh glass. this time he just made a big piece of glass to work on. with his hot hands he took small bits of glass from the big chunk. at the beginning it had looked like a rock made of glass, but slowly it started to shrink till finally it started to take shape. because of his magic he had gotten used to heat but molten glass was still way to much for him. every time he touched the molten glass, pain rushed through his body. but he didn't say anything to not anoy his masters with his discomfort. he had to be careful not to make the glass to britle else it would break to soon, nor could he take to much of else he would have to start over. he was just glad he didn't have to make glass daggers for all members. once the rough shape was finished he concentrated on the handle first since that would be thickest and thus less likely to get messed up. once he finished the handle he shifted his focus to the blade. it was already curved but except for some sharp edges but else it wouldn't do any damage to anyone. he had to concentrate both on his work and on not rushing things. when he finally finished with the blade he attached one orb the the end of the handle, sort of as a counterweight. when he looked up in the air he realized he had lost all track of time and just hoped he would have enough time to finish his work. he took some coins and slowly started heating them. it was another long and painful process and he already knew his hands would be burned in 4th degree if that was even possible. but he felt like he had to show Fleuria that he had changed. when the coins melted enough to be shaped he bit his teeth as he tried to cover the handle with the metal to make it less likely to break when using. he also covered a big part of the blade with a thin layer of metal. not enough to make it allot heavier but enough to strengthen it allot. unfortunately half molten metal was even more painful to mold then the glass was. when he finally finished covering big parts of the dagger with metal, he took 2 needles he had found while searching the city before he ever met with this group. using the needles he easily managed to create a sort of holder for the one orb he had left. he crossed the needles and welded them together. as he had finished welding them together he noticed the sun was about to come up so that he would have to hurry if he ever wanted to give it to fleuria. slowly he managed to bent the needles around the top op the sphere and then placed all four points inside heated glass. it was risky since he could puntctior the glass if he pushed the needles to deep and it surely wasn't easy with his burned hands. but finally as the sun was starting to rise he had finished it. he placed both items in his pants and walked towards the woods. once there he searched a few minutes before he spotted a tree which leaves were great for making a thread from. again he noticed how hard it was to do something with hands that were burnt as heavily as his. but he wouldn't return to the camp before he had finished the threads, one for making the orb into a necklace and the other to wrap around the metal handle of the dagger so it would feel soft. when he came out of the forest with leaves wrapped around his hands he noticed everyone was already awake. |

Lornayth stood at the edge of the sea with his staff in one hand. He was just far enough inland that the sweeping tides could not reach his feet. The rising sun on his left cast a bright, white light across the horizon that reminded him further of the magnitude of their journey. He turned his head upon hearing Xar approaching only to turn away in apathy. Hmph.. I wonder where he's been? We were about to leave without him.. "You're positive this will work?" he asked Fleuria in a slightly doubtful tone. |

Xar walked up to Fleuria with his "gifts" in his hands. when he reached her he kneeled and bowed his head as he raised his hands above his head. "i made these for you because you looked sad yesterday." he didn't mention his severely burned hands badly wrapped in leaves. |

Elita stood from the blanket in the sand and wrapped it up carefully. She placed it inside her sack and winced at the rising sun. She quickly put the meat she had stored inside her back too, wrapped in the skin of the deer. She stood and walked behind Lornayth. His shadow protected Elita from the sun and made her feel calm. She stood holding her bow in her hand and had her quiver and bag strapped around a shoulder. "Seren is a bit away, but in your summon I bet we can make it before sun set." Elita smiled as she saw Xar offer Fleuria a gift. Trying to woo her..? Or just being kind. I can't tell. If he is trying to woo her, I doubt it will work. |

Fleuria mentally cursed the sun as it peaked in the side of her vision. She stood by the remains of the last night's fire, watching the water. She looked down at Xar as he held for her small trinkets. She blinked, slightly dumbfounded at the unexpected gifts. She took the objects form him and observed the small orb of seawater and sad. She twisted it back and forth, watching the contents dance inside their glass orb. She looked back down to Xar and nodded. "Thank you, this is most kind of you Xar." She smiled weakly and gestured for him to stand again. I'll have to find a chain to put this on in Yesmuth. Fleuria went to stand beside Lornayth at the shore, trying to enjoy the early morning sunlight being reflected on the water, but she was too preoccupied with its brightness bothering her eyes to take any happiness out of it. Shoving the way the idea of enjoying the scene, she turned her attention to Lornayth. "We'll be fine. Poco Sal will be able to take us to Yesmuth without any problem. It just won't be the most comfortable ride that we could have." She nodded, crouching down to pull her staff from the glimmering white portal. "We can leave as soon as everyone's ready." Fleuria watched the water charge it's way onto the sand, only to retreat in terror once again. She smiled lightly. The beach had made for a fairly nice evening- troubles aside. She looked down to the west of the beach, much less bright than the to the east. Her mind fluttered about, eventually leading her to pull their missing comrade to the front of her mind. I do wonder what happened to Sapaqura. Wouldn't he have been able to find us by now? ...He likely won't have luck finding us in Yesmuth, however long we'll be there. It's not like he'll run into us before we leave. Hopefully he's okay. She shook her head and turned back to the others. "So shall we?" |
