Hikaru stopped in her tracks, raising one finger to signal a pause. "Before I forget." She whirled around and reached in her bag, and pulled out a long white cloth resembling a bandage. "Wear this. It camouflages you as a human, works better when there's more of us around. You should recognize what it is."

"A Shroud..." The Servant picked up the object with a measure of respect. "Didn't think these were still around." The man's fingers slid along the cloth, as if attempting to gouge something from touching its surface. "Yes, I think this could work. Excellent addition to resources, Hikaru." It did not take him long to undo his shirt and wind the bandage-like Burial Cloth around his waist like a several-layer belt, tying it in the front, careful not to pull on the material too hard, before redoing the buttons and pulling the jacket back on. "How does this change my Perspective now, from your view?"

"Generously donated by Saint Columbus to the Sacred Church back in 550 B.C. He must have gotten it when Saint Oran climbed out from his grave. That would have been quite a spectacle. I've managed to convince them to loan it to me...long story." Hikaru took out her glasses and peered through them to get a good view. "The rankings are....about my level. Still abnormal compared to an ordinary human being, but at least it doesn't scream 'Servant-over-here'."

"So it has concealed my status as Servant Templar? And I am now some sort of abnormal being instead..." David shook his head, chuckling lightly as he considered the positives and negatives of this new resource. This somewhat offset his inability to dematerialize but naturally was not enough... Unless of course he had been underestimated, which the cloth would allow, or given the ability to hide in plain sight which seemed to have worked for him well over the years. "It will do for now, then. I will attempt to be in larger crowds to conceal more of my supremely perfect lordship if I can."

"School has lots of people, only in the day though, so you could tag along resembling a perfectly normal human. Does it hamper your abilities?" She took off her glasses and shoved it inside her pocket.

"No... it doesnt not seal or interfere in my actual skills, but seems to break the pattern in which they are seen." David touched his belt where the cloth had been placed moment earlier with a bit of a surprised expression. The effect had been slightly differing from what he expected it to be, after all. "I wouldn't call it an illusion, rather its broadcasting a concept of 'being a commoner'. It is a curious feeling."

"Good, good. I wouldn't want to leave you powerless for the sake of that. Curious feelings are good. It means that weird stuff are working. Anyway, school. Boring place, but the labs are fun. What do you know about biology?" asked Hikaru with a cheeky grin. Then turned around, exiting the tiny courtyard of the humble industrial apartment, into the streets where the shops have opened for the day.. Hikaru strode in an easy going pace, next to the current of purposeful housewives hurrying off to buy the freshest ingredients for their households.

"Biology?" The young man shrugged imperiously, raising a blond eyebrow and showing a dismissing gesture with his hand. "Keh, such mundane things don't interest my supremely perfect lordship... But I possess enough knowledge of it which seems to be equating to a level slightly above high school. Meaningless knowledge." He'd suddenly grinned, giving his companion a wink before beginning to whistle a merry tune which seemed to attract the few birds that stayed over in Fuyuki during wintertime.

"Biology is a mundane interest?!” exclaimed Hikaru aghast, as if the blond man has spelled something against the very core of her existence. “Without biology half of the human race wouldn't be hear today! Imagine what life is without penicillin! Oh right, you've been there, but pulling out arrows without anesthesia..." Hikaru shuddered. “...I'd rather be in this era than any other one thank you very much. You lot of ancient old men can continue to dismiss the wonders of science for all I care.” She spun around then broke into laughter when the birds flutters over David like bees to honey. "Chicks love you, I'll give you that. I bet the girls at my music club would too. If we weren't suppose to keep a low profile, I'd be tempted to enter you in an idol contest and watch the aftereffects."

"Oho? Chicks will love me?" The eyebrow had arched again as the man chuckled slightly: "That from experience? Well, not like they would -not- like me I suppose, given what I am." He shook his head, sighing mockingly and shrugging: "Tough being popular, I guess. One of the burdens a King must bear with pride after all. Low profile? Old man? Bah! What gave you those ideas, I wonder. My glorious self is here to spread his influence, after all. It is my foes who should run and hide. I, on the other hand, will do as I please - those maggots dont concern me."

"Oho, confident aren't we? Alright, I'll sign you up for the next annual Fuyuki idol contest so that this entire city could bask in your glorious, shiny sunshine spotlight thing. You could also dethrone Elvis while you're at it, and maybe a shiny suit. Red, I think, with silver polka dots. That would look good on you." Hikaru stepped backwards ahead of David and framed the boy in a vertical rectangle with her fingers and thumbs.

The sculpted face of the girl's companion twisted in an indescribable grimace at those words: The mouth assumed a triangular shape, one side more open then the other, lips drawn apart, two rows of perfect teeth pressed firmly together, nostrils flaring slightly, the inner tips of eyebrows raised while the outer ridges were lowered, emerald eyes narrowing to slits. "With THAT wardrobe, my esteemed self would be lucky - LUCKY - to win the award for the greatest scarecrow in Fuyuki - but those seem to be obsolete by now. No, no... If we do this, we do it MY way, and of course..." He shrugged, face reverting to a careless, overbearing grin: "Win spectacularly perfectly."

They walked past a record store with the poster of Elvis on the window. Hikaru stopped to observed the King in his famous white eagle motif suit, embroiled with intricate patterns of beads, gems and little tiny red and white striped flags across his hip. A patriotic homage to the free land of the Eagle. "It's a cool suit. I don't see why you can't like the sleeves. That pattern's awesome." She stood next to the poster and mimicked the pose. "Imagine you on a poster."

"Me? Wear that? Blech." The young man shook his head in distaste. "Not going to happen. For one, that would mean I am following him, two, he has no sense of style by my view. I do not follow - I lead. You'd do well to remember that, Princess." He took another look at the poster, rubbing his chin with his hand, and contemplating the pose critically. Could it be salvagable after all, or was this a lost cause altogether? "As far as his pose goes, I do not think it is glorious enough for my perfect self to mimic in any way, shape or form."

She snapped her fingers as she removed herself from the poster and towards David. "I know, you should wear hat. Hats make good new impression, and a scarf, long long one. That'd be original!"

"My glorious self does not wear hats. Besides, just what kind of hat would I even wear? Scarves however... Hmm."

"You like scarves?" Hikaru inched closer teasingly. "I suppose they don't have it in the sandy, sandy desert." Hikaru closed in on her Servant to observe the reaction.

"Please. My campaigns took place not only in desert climates. I've seen quite a wide variety of battlefields, bearing the appropriate attire for each." The man scoffed slightly at the ridiculous, in his view, notion. "As for my like or dislike, I would say I prefer capes to scarves but bearing a mantle here would be far too much radiance for this small town. After all, my glorious self is already like the Sun. Any more, and there could be problems burning these filth alive. And we wouldn't want our job done for us, now would we, Master?"

“Of course, of course!” She nodded vigorously and patted his back. “We'll leave it to your expertise in being up close and personal. Now!” she punctuated with a clap, and hopped down the hill as if angels had installed springs underneath her shoes, towards a large building in a distance. “School!”
