This is really intriguing and I would join, if I was completely sure I could post often enough. But, I don't know if I'll even have the free time over winter break. However, I wish you good luck and I'm sure it will be fun. |

>.>;;;;;;; That's a lot of text. =.= Afraid I don't have the time to read it at the moment, but it looks like you put a lot of thought into this and from what I've read of other people's (considerably) shorter responses, sounds like it will intrigue me. Just got to read it after I knock some more work out of the way. |

| Franker, your posts never cease to make my eyes bleed. That's not exactly a bad thing, but DAMN! Your posts are always so long! Heh... I guess it's good to get it all out there, huh? |

Well, a lot of the later bits are more concepts of form than content, and are a much easier read than the first 3 or 4 blocks of text. And the last and largest block of text is pretty much an "example" story/intro, which can be read later. Feather just sucks at formatting stuff properly when it's 2am. Also, for the character creation process, it's quite simple: You'll basically be asked to first supply the usual "Who the hell is this?" character sheet containing basic data, and maybe even some background story if you're feeling in good shape. Then, you'll be taken to a dark room with Feather and she'll tort - err, wrong speech. So, I was saying, you'll be taken to a private RP session either in forum, chat, whatever suits you, and will be literally RPing how your character finds out that the world isn't the good old normal world of college and insurance loans and discovers everything about the Massaru, the demon world, Irkallu, etc. That's also where your abilities, skills, weapons and whatnot get decided, partially depending on how you RP'd through that, partially depending on your own personal choices (basically, judging from how that mini-RP with you is going, you'll be offered several choices to pick from - in-RP, of course - and through your character's actions you'll determine what your character will officially be, be that a spellcaster, a summoner, a "shaper", a binder, or whatever else). Hopefully, the entire thing should be done fairly quickly, and then each person gets integrated to the game one by one as they get done/ready. Also, since there's no definite and cohesive "groups" within the massaru (merely people who prefer to be or usually are with eachother, but if there's a need to they'll still work with others), pretty much anyone can just hop in or out of any part of the RP at any time - well, maybe not in the middle of a fight, but you get the idea. So yeah, I still need to talk with Feather about this concerning the logistics of the whole affair, but fake sexual innuendo aside I believe with this setup we'd be ready to start RPing (for character creation, but it's still RPing) like really soon. And we could just keep it small and personal until the other people who are deep in term exams get done. EDIT: Lol Vanishedspartan, I do try to cut my posts up and format them as reader-friendly as possible whenever I have the chance, but yes, I always attempt to write out my ideas completely and clearly so as to make sure that there is as little ambiguity about my words and intent as can be. For Gopher, and the others who fear they cannot post all that often, being a freeform roleplay that shouldnt be a real problem. You should still be able to roleplay with someone else because you will have that option of creating multiple roleplays. So, if you wanted to roleplay, just start one with someone and let it progress as it does. ^.^

... I shall remain interested. Umm, what kind of abilities/powers/weapons are there exactly? I've always been the lone swordsman type, but I may change... Depends. Just wanted some input on what you'll do for that. Lol at the jokes Franker. XD And it's good to say things clearly. Just makes it harder for me to blink is all... >,> Because I don't see it used enough and I know it's epic enough that it should be:

A lone swordsman is theoretically possible, but the chances of you actually being able to do so according to standard lore in this roleplay would be highly unlikely right away, being as that you would have to start as a recruit so you could start getting accustomed to the world and its lore. Over time, your character could build up the necessary skills to become a more "lone swordsman" type person, but even then, they would have to have a death wish to be such a thing as demons hardly travel in less than large packs. If you're going for a swordsman, we have a group of the Massaru known as "Binders" for the use of a generic term who force demons into items to imbue them with their power. This is most likely what you would be, but, it does have its drawbacks. Binders are only capable of fighting for so long because their demons will tire out, and as such, most binders carry several weapons to counter this problem as best as possible. The more powerful a weapon used, the quicker the demon will tire out, though, if they bind a large and powerful demon (which requires immense concentration and skill) into a weapon such as a simple sword, it could last far longer than your average weapon. So, in the long run, yes, you could be a lone swordsman and I will not argue against it, but if you get killed in a roleplay because you are overwhelmed, your fault... On a side note, all the various types of powers and classes a character might have or be will be posted for your viewing before you will be ready to make your characters. ^.^ On another side note, a character could and should be created before you have finalized your character's future in the Massaru. Characters are highly dynamic and change and modification is going to be encouraged. Any questions? I would be more than glad to address anything you might be curious about. Or, if my answer was not what you were looking for and still leaves you with more questions, please ask them and I will do my best to work things out. ^.^ Edited by Feather, Dec 9 2009, 01:56 AM.
