And I looked upon the great dying beast and said aloud, "Rejoice, my brothers, for I have conquered the great monster that you all feared." And they rejoiced, and feared no more, for all that had been evil in this world was vanquished under the tip of my blade.
I looked upon my prize and watched it pass into the nether. I never saw of it again, though I heard legends later of the conquering of this beast. "He was an artist in his battles. When he swung his blade, angels sung and masterpieces were made with the red of monster's blood," is what they would all say. "He was the mastermind of the conquering of evil. He could cleave a monster in half without so much as a bead of sweat dripping across his brow." Of course, they were all exaggerations. I could never cause angels to sing, or paint a masterpiece with the blood of my opponent. And I have never sliced a beast into halves, especially without sweat dripping down my face.
But as this monster drifted into the next life, I saw within it a part of me. In exchanging blows with this creature, it had become my brother, just before it died. I respected it. I loved it. It was my brother, in battle. I had fought this beast and learned its inner-workings. It had no sin about itself. It had been driven to live the way it had.
In seeing such truth, that what I had destroyed was not evil, but was in fact merely self-preservative, I knelt in front of its corpse and gave it a Warrior's Farewell, wishing it a successful journey into the afterlife, where it would be treated as a master, and not a monster, for its prowess in battle. As I finished the Farewell, I felt a sense of calm wash over me, and knew that the Warrior's Maidens would guide this creature's soul into the afterlife, to be treated as a general upon the field of battle.
I rose from the side of the creature and walked away from the empty shell that had been its body. I turned to the nearest onlooker and told him, "You should bury this one. It has fought well and deserves respect for its ability and strength. It shall not be remembered as an evil monster, but as a majestic beast. I shall not claim its pelt, and neither shall anyone else, lest they fear my wrath. For if they rob this creature of its hide, I shall rob him in turn of his own hide."
Following this command, he and his fellow villagers rushed to the creature and guessed at what size the burial hole would have to be. Then they returned with shovels and dug the beast a burial hole. They marked its burial mound with a great stone. It was shaped into a pedestal, and on the top of the pedestal words were inscribed that described the great physical prowess and majesty of this creature. Satisfied, I left the village in search of greater opportunities.

Just something I wrote up.. I thought up the first paragraph right after finishing my stupid health final and then I ran with it. let me know what you guys think of it.
