So, this is probably one of the best american animes ever (cause we suck at making them) and the movie is coming out soon. Its going to be a trilogy which means that kid is gunna be soooo much older when the last one comes out, lol. anyway discuss. also which bender you would be and why? keep in mind... I also have to go with Earthbending because it seems real defensive and I'd like controlling a substance that has a heavy weight. |

Id choose firebending, since you never can get caught in a situation where you can't firebend (exept the solar eclipse) and its pretty powerful and versitile. the only problem is the lack of defense. you also have to train with weapon and dodging moves because you can't use fire to block things like swords or projectiles. Waterbending would be my second choice. |

Well are we talking like if we lived in that world or are we talking like real life? Because I just can think of very little situations in real life during which fire bending would be helpful. |

unless you dont have water. lol. You always have a weapon with firebending as well (see fire daggers) but you dont have a shield for things besides people. AND YOU CAN FLY! and to answer corey's question, not nessesarily in thier world, but in a world where everyone can bend. You probably would need to weigh combat in as well. just as an fyi. Cody is right, so long as there is humidity in the air, waterbenders have an unlimited supply (and so long as they know what the hell they are doing). Personally, I'm torn between fire and water. I'm starting to favor water as I examine it more and more though. In a one on one fight I can't see how water wouldn't be able to defeat/block fire as 1) water puts out plain old fire (duh) 2) Lightening blasts could be absorbed by highly conductive bended water streams that are grounded out 3) Bloodbending never fails Besides fighting a firebender, A waterbender MAY have the really cool healing power. I don't see why Earth and water benders couldn't cover themselves in their element and then bend the element into the air thus making them fly. Also, as far as practicality goes....well actually I can't see any of these powers being exactly practical...I guess a firebender would never have to worry about finding a match to make a fire for cooking or whatnot.....My last point for waterbending: Icebending is really good for dramatic effect. Oh and it's a possible defense to earthbending. Oh God, freezing a person's blood. I'd have to say that a mass murderer would probably have the most fun being a waterbender |
