So yeah for Gen 5 I vote none of us look up anything online at all, so that every new Pokemon is a surprise and our teams are all based on luck of the draw. Also I don't think we should trade from the old Gens because they're getting old. |

So yeah, which starter are you all gonna choose? IMO: Smugleaf seems the best initially and is just fucking awesome. Pignite is just really frickin' average and Wotter is ugly at first, but after seeing a bunch of fan art on /vp/ I think he's gotten better since my first reaction. I still have no idea which I'll pick. |

haha Vin, I so approve. While smugleaf is pretty much obviously the best looking choice, I've never been a fan of building teams with grass in it. And since pignite looks like nothing special I think I'll choose Wotter. I'm hoping that there'll be some kind of ugly duckling effect where it looks badass after evolving. Besides that you almost pity the guy. It looks like the kind of thing you would see in a foster home with tears rolling down its face as foster parents walk past it and not picking him cuz he looks so ugly. |

Smugleaf all day erryday. I love grass starters (besides gen 2) and they've always kicked ass for me. Besides, I think we'd get along. |

wait a goddamn moment. Chikorita was an awesome starter. Not to mention a breath of fresh air as it did not have that annoying poison secondary type which opens you up to so many weaknesses. Plus it had synthesis which was a cool move back in the debut of gen 2 |

Yeah, it was decent stat wise, but I don't play Pokemanz competitively, and I still don't like it's design. |
