I think,
If you want money you should chop oaks... They chop fast and give a littlebit money...
If you want to gain xp, you should chop willows. They chop pretty fast and give much xp! The problem is: they sell very bad and for a very low price.
If you ask me: "Chop willows!". Train your woodcutting to 60 and chop yews. They sell pretty good and for a very high price!

Look ,I`ve done some maths ..

•Oaks:
►XP◄
37.5 xp x 27=1012.5 xp /inventory
►GP◄
49 gp x 27=1323 gp /inventory
►TIME◄
It takes about 1 minute to cut one full inventory of oaks from 41wc+(tested)

•Willows:
►XP◄
67.5 xp x 27=1822.5 xp /inventory
►GP◄
8 gp x 27=216 gp /inventory
►TIME◄
It takes about 2mins to cut one full inventory of willows at 59 wc x[)(tested at full speed)

So while you cut 1inventory of willows,you could have cut 2 inventories of oaks ,which is equal with 2025k xp and 2646 gp.
In my opinion oaks>willows.

But if you burn your willows, then are willows better, eh?

Well,not really.
You see,if you cut oaks,and get 1k oaks,and sell them for 49k gp,than you buy 1689maple logs (which are the best FM xp for f2p) you get more fm xp than just cutting willows and burning them.1k willows burned =90.000fm xp,1689maple logs burned=231.393 fm xp.

1 to 99 Training:

* Levels 1-25: Regular logs

* Levels 25-40: Oak logs

* Levels 40-50: Willow logs

* Levels 50-70: Maple logs. As a Non-member, you have two options when you reach this stage. When training on logs you have bought you could buy Maple logs from members. If you plan on spending less money or no money at all, then Willows logs are the second option.

* Levels 70-99: Maple/Yew/Magic logs. The only options for Non-members are Willow, Maple or Yew logs.

This guide is officially from Runehq.com so this means its tested and approved to be best way xD
