Hyakuji 2.0 Template Character Name: Jiinas Aurelias Hallow ( Jiin for short. Said like blue jeans.) Gender: Female Age: 16 Height: 5’3” (without heels) Weight: 97 lbs Description or Image of Character Appearance: ![]() ![]() Occupation: Student Grade Level: Sophomore Powers/ Abilities: Jiin’s ability allows her to feel the emotions of others. If she looks into her eyes she feels what they are feeling, and if she touches then, in any way, their feeling is forced upon her. She treats her power more like a curse, and despises it when someone calls it a gift. Equipment You Have: As of now, daggers, but I assume that teachers have taken up her weapons. She will use them when needed…for events or something. At one point she might have a crossbow. Residency Request: Yuki Schedule: Homeroom: Ledah 1st: Music 2nd: Martial Arts LUNCH 3rd: Supernatural Studies Personality Description: Jiin is polite and formal in her speaking, but her attitude is anything but. She is very cold hearted and stoic. Jiin does not care what others think, nor do their actions affect her. Jiin has a knack for getting herself into trouble and even though she is fully capable of getting out of it herself, someone always feels the need to drag her out by her hair. Because of her power, or curse, as she prefers to call it, she has learned to let go of her emotions and to keep from being affected by another’s mistakes. Jiin never looks anyone in the eyes and avoids physical contact at all costs. Personal History: Jiin was born is a remote village in the mountains. Or at least as far as she knows…the last thing she remembers is waking up on a deserted battlefield. Since then she was taken in by, who she was told, is her mother. She was one of the few younglings in the village, and the only girl. Jiin has picked up a few of her features from her male peers. RP Sample: (This is an excerpt from a previous roleplay.) It was the beginning of the New Year, and just like the years that came before, one anxious youth would be chosen to embark on a mission. The mission, to be exact. All of the young, potential young people were hurled into a competition against one another. The people were to choose a teen with the most discipline and strength to embark on what some liked to call “The Sacred Journey”. The chosen person was to hike to the top of the tallest mountain and bring back the skull of a beast. It was a momentous occasion for the entire village. The entire village minus Jiin, that is. She had never been the kind to give all her hope to her home’s makeshift hero. And this year was no different, even after the people chose her. Jiin would be the one to set out on this adventure. The adventure, actually. It boggled her mind how some silly tradition such as this one would be so important to the elders. But she was going to accomplish the task at hand. No matter what it took. The village was counting on her, and as much as Jiin did not care, even she could not neglect her responsibility. Jiin had all her supplies in order and was already well on her way out of civilization when a voice called her. “Jiin! Wait up!” The young man yelled while trying to catch up with her. “No.” Jiin said flatly, not bothering to stop or dawdle her pace. The boy’s dirty ash blond hair was laid awkwardly in his face, and completely contrasted with the icy blue and green colors of his eyes. He had run that was a little too much on the giddy side. However, his voice was smooth and silky, which was the one reason Jiin had to believe that he was male. Even his skin was light, with a semblance of a sheltered and overprotected child. “Oh, c’mon! You don’t really want to go alone, do you?” “Alone would be better than going with you, Reito.” Jiin stopped and turned to face him. She had never taken a liking to Reito. He had known her since she was 3 years of age. And since then, he had become more and more of a pain with each passing year. They were both seventeen now, and by some miracle, and lack of a place to hide a corpse, Rei was still alive. But he would not be so lucky if he kept this up. “That’s a little harsh…” Reito looked down at his feet and shook his head. “You’ll get over it.” Jiin resumed walking, but heightened her pace in hopes that he would not catch up. It took a moment for him to realize that she was walking away, and when he did, he had to sprint to keep up. And just when she thought Rei was the only problem that had to be dealt with, another voice was heard. “Your crazy if you think Jiin's going to stop for you.” The low, growling, voice was coming from a nearby bush. “Stay out of this.” Jiin responded sharply. The male emerged from his hiding place, taking long strides. He stood 5’8”, only two inches taller than Reito, but still seemed to tower over him. His eyes were a hypnotizing color of gray, and his hair was a frosty brown. The man was strong and indomitable. His stern gaze and rigid features sent a chill down Reito’s neck. But Jiin, as usual, was un-fazed. “You’ll get yourself killed out there if you go alone.” it Sien stated, completely ignoring Jiin’s command. “I will? I think you’re the one who’s crazy if you think I can’t handle this, Sien.” Jiin had only recently met Sien; he had come to the village a mere 7 months ago. He did not associate with people, and no one bothered to talk to him either. “No one” being Jiin. She ran in to him at the lake just outside the town. Neither made an effort to speak until Jiin slipped into the water. But it was not all her faults. She was trying to avoid coming into direct physical contact with him. And she succeeded, but not without making a fool of herself first. She had not planned to fall, but it beat the other outcome ten to none. See, Jiin had this power, or curse as she liked to call it. By looking a person in the eyes, she was able to feel that person’s emotions. And if she were to touch someone, she would not only be forced to feel what the person was feeling, but could see exactly why the feeling was present. Sounds simple enough. The only problem was she could not turn her power off. So, no matter what, if she were to look someone in the eye or touch them, that person’s feelings would be thrust onto her. Hence the given name, curse. Jiin had since learned to keep her eyes out of focus. She never looked in someone’s eyes and she saw everything through a blur of colors and shapes. It was bad enough that she did not have feelings of her own, but it was even more painful that she had to feel through the hearts of others. And these two were the last people on earth that Jiin wanted to share feelings with. But they did not seem to want to share their feelings either. So here she was, faced with Reito’s obsession, and Sien’s stubborn nature. “The village picked me. I’m doing this alone.” “You are? I don’t think your being truthful.” “Fine. You can come.” She found no reason to explain anything, and started her swift walk. Rei and Sien were glad they had won the argument, though neither party would admit it. Truth be told, it was Sien that convinced Jiin to accept their presence. She figured so long as they did not get in her way, that everything would be fine. That was her first mistake. And most certainly not her last. Mashed Potatoes? The proof is in the pudding. (Chocolate pudding!!) |

I'm terribly sorry for having made you wait so long! Things have been hectic this time of year for most of the staff, what with final projects and whatnot. I'll have to rule that your crossbow and daggers have been confiscated and are locked away. Things get a little dangerous from time to time in Hyakuji so under extreme emergency I think you can have your character ask a teacher to retrieve them. Seeing as you have no combat-related power. Approved! Welcome to HHS! |
