Occupation: Student (World Devourer)
Grade Level: Freshman
Powers/ Abilities:

Jun Nara is not human, and he is in truth a member of some sort of alien species who have either seeded or lost him on the planet. Still, he is operating at his primary directives, which are to observe, absorb, and adapt to the culture, obtaining samples of useful biomass and incorporating it into the genepool of the species. To this extent, he has a the ability to spawn a number of creatures to assist in his endeavors, a growing catalog of beings with various purposes based upon the amount of biomass he collects. this biomass is stored in a sort of bio-organic vat which, unbeknown to likely anyone but him, exists beneath the town in one of the deeper sections of the sewers. From this vat he can shape his creatures as well as rejuvenate himself.

Currently, he can create a number (the exact number is unknown, there may be dozens at any time) of creatures known as Rippers. They are small, roughly cat-sized creatures with a hard overshell carapace and fang-filled mouth, propelled by a sinuous tail and three pairs of razor-spike 'arms' which extend from it's main body. They are quick, though more so in that they excel in close quarters and indoors, while being too small to be as viable outdoors. However, they are capable of rather impressive leaps. In theory they could take on a variety of other biomorphs but at this time only these 'normal' variants have been known to exist.

Likewise, though there is logically other forms the creatures can take at this time Jun has only enough biomass to form a small number of them, a sort of genetic lock preventing him from accessing the ability to form larger creatures until sufficient mass is absorbed. Also, he is only currently able to direct eight rippers at any given time.

He can also create a sort of creature known as a 'gaunt', which is roughly the size of a medium-to-large dog, in many ways an enlarged form of the ripper. It has an ever harder carapace and two of it's claws have elongated into actual claw-tipped legs, with a set of four other 'arms' (two large and two small) with scythe-like endings sprouting from the torso. The creature is quick over distances, though less mobile indoors, and like most of Jun's creatures it lacks any sort of true intelligence, driven only by a bestial instinct unless Jun is nearby. A single gaunt alone requires more mental control, however, and as such it is equal to directing two rippers.

This leads to the next part of Jun's ability. He is the Synapse node for the entirety of his brood. Unless within a relatively short distance (about two city blocks at this time) from Jun then they are lacking in any sort of driving intelligence, acting only on instinct to feed (in the case of the rippers) or to hunt (in the case of the gaunt). They will, after completing these goals, return to the acidic biomass pool and throw themselves in, adding the biomass they've obtained to the collective while replacements are grown for them. However, when in range then Jun is capable of seeing through their eyes and commanding them, though not directly controlling, to do certain actions. This ability extends somewhat to other species in that he is able to manifest a sort of telepathy, though it's mildly alien nature tends to cause others to feel odd when around him, especially other telepaths. He possesses some psychic potential but it is not manifesting in any way other then the control and telepathy at this tmie.

As an aside, this mental connection makes the creatures rather immune to most mental attacks by less then very strong users based on the fact they are slaved across multiple creatures rather then one when Jun is near and the utter alien nature compared to a human or even an earth animals brain.

On the weakness side of things, Jun himself is relatively unassuming, and looks are not deceiving. He is, although internally much different, essentially a 15 year old kid, and a small one at that. He is frail, weak, and not all that athletically gifted either. Though capable of growing rudimentary spikes or blades for self-defense he is not an effective fighter and must mostly rely on his 'pets' for any sort of defensive ability. These blades burst rather painfully from his skin, forming as rapid bone growths which are both very noticeable and causing wounds which require time in the biopool to rejuvenate.

Though his creatures are resistant to mental attacks, he is not. Instead, his power, which essentially constitutes him broadcasting his commands, means that he is open to psychic powers. And while he is driven by an alien will, his mind is far closer to a human then that of his 'pets,' meaning he lacks that natural defense as well.

His creatures, while alien, are flesh and blood (or ichor, as it would be) just like any other creature. They are essentially a sort of animal, lacking any sort of supernatural shield or power that would defend them. In many ways, this makes them inferior to other students who may be able to summon or make commands of other mythical creatures. Their main advantage is numbers, and should that be taken away they will be far more vulnerable then they would otherwise be.

Also, because they are flesh and blood, they must be grown and not simply summoned into being. Should one be destroyed (with the exception of rippers, which seem to be rather quick growing or seemingly endless, despite how many he can control at once), Jun must return to his pool and begin the process of growing new replacements. This can take days to accomplish, between which Jun is quite vulnerable.

Additionally, his need to remain hidden means that his activities must be very carefully planned, or else his entire cover could be blown, at which point he would have to resort to far more drastic measures...

Equipment You Have:
Jun has very little 'equipment.' He has a bioacid pool deep in in the sewers, where biomass is returned and new creatures are spawned. Other then that he has no specific gear

Residency Request:
Yuki

Schedule:
Homeroom: Hiro
1st: Science
2nd: History
LUNCH
3rd: Supernatural Studies

Personality Description:
On the surface, Jun is a friendly and relatively outgoing student with a slight sense of introversion and shyness. He is eager to hear about powers and abilities, and really almost anything, acting with wonder at the most minor magic or special talent people show. This makes him a rather nice person to be around when you need a pick-me-up as he's complimentary and genuinely sincere about his praise.

He shows a great deal of affinity towards science, showing a sort of intuitive understanding of many principles which could be seen as far above normal for his age. This affinity makes him a common fixture amongst the beakers and bubbling chemicals of the lab.

In truth, though, he is cataloging each power and ability, storing them away for future use. His true nature would be called sinister by some, though he has no spite or malice in his actions, simply an unfathomable alien mind with the goal to reproduce and survive through what ever means.

Personal History:
Jun was born in an unknown location, at an unknown date, in unknown circumstances. It is not known if he was born from a human mother who had been infected by some sort of spore or other parasite, or if was simply spawned like the other more alien of his swarm, assembled from captured DNA absorbed into the brood. What is known is actually very little, though some assumptions can be made. He came into being roughly between three and five years ago, likely being formed as a fully developed 15 year old to more easily infiltrate human society.

What Jun actually IS is actually far more clear. He is a member of a species from beyond planet Earth; beyond the Solar System, beyond even the Milky Way galaxy. They drifted in from the dark starless void between the galaxies, intent on devouring all in their path. They strip worlds down to barren rock, free of any life, atmosphere, or mineral which can be used to form more of their own kind. Driven by the baleful will of some distant creature which links throughout the swarm through the powers of the norn queens and other synaptic creatures which act as living relays for it's will.

Although far distant, so much so that it will take tens of thousands of years before a fleet will reach the outer limits of the solar system, the creatures have sent out countless numbers of long-distance mycetic spore pods, an unknown number of which that have by fate or luck come to rest upon the planet Earth. And so, Jun has come into being to access the genetic diversity of this blue planet, absorbing the knowledge and biological potential so that should the innumerable fleets of the hivemind swing towards this corner of the galaxy then he will be ready to gift them with the key to our own unmaking. He is driven to find the best place to absorb this material, a fact which has taken him to the island nation of Japan.

Hyakuji High School, to be exact. The high concentration of magic, science, and superior genetics at that location made it a prime target for study and infestation, the eventual goal of absorbing biomatter and genetic data from the student body being a long term goal of the strange being. But he walks a fine line of maintaining his cover, wary that while those around him could likely easily overwhelm and put and end to his plans very quickly...

RP Sample:
The trio shrieked as they ran through the trash clogged alleyways. They knew that It was still behind them. They could hear the baleful clink of chitinous claws against wet pavement, the sound of the beasts loping echoing in the confined space and serving only to amplify their terror.

The men where dirty from head to toe, clad in muddy rotted clothes. Homeless, penniless, and now hopeless. It was not out of any malice or spite that they had been chosen, no plan or trick. They hadn't even truly been int he wrong place at the wrong time, anymore then anyone in the entire town could be considered to be nowadays. Moments ago they had been huddled around a burning barrel and trying to escape from the rain which fell from the sky in massive drops, soaking everything in short order. To them, that would seem like an eternity.

It, however, with a mind utterly divorced from anything like it on the planets. Alien in form and function, it had but the desire to feed. It clattered up a wall, powerful claws digging into concrete as it pushed itself forward. It was gaining. The enclosed spaces made flat out running difficult, that was it's weakness. Not that it would matter here. All they where doing was delaying the inevitable. It's eyes 'saw' them despite the pouring rain. It could smell the fear which radiated off of them. And one of them pissed himself.

"Is it still there!?" one of them shrieked, still pounding pavement as he did. "I don't care, I'm not stopping! You saw what it did to that guy!" was the only reply other then the rain. The homeless man shuddered as he ran, thinking about the fate of one of the other homeless who had been caught by the... thing. Severed at the waist, then in two other places before the first pieces had hit the ground. He resisted the urge to puke, a fact made easier by the lack of sustenance in his stomach. But that was going to cost him energy. Darkly, he reminded himself that he didn't need to outrun the thing, he just needed to outrun the other two.

Or other one, as it would be. A sudden movement was the only warning as a swarm of small cat-sized... creatures latched onto one of the trio, dragging him down screaming. The echo was terrible, driving the other two only faster as the sound of bone crunching and flesh tearing replaced wailing screams. The man was suddenly rethinking his plan...

"Keep going! Keep goi-aagh!!!" he yelled, a sudden pain shooting through his body, only to be replaced with nothing as his spine was severed. A pair of twin scythes where lodged in his back, the beast landing directly onto him and tearing away in wanton frenzy. He was dead before he he puddles. The remaining of the trio could yell no more, simply running.

He ran for ten more minutes, with no sign or sound to alert him to anything still chasing. He had done it, he thought... he'd made it.

And then he saw him. A child? It seemed to be a boy, though the tricks of light and rain made nothing certain. Slowly, he crept towards him. What was a child doing here? He had to get him out before that thing came back.

"Hey, kid... what the hell are you doing out here? Where are your parents?" he whispered, placing a hand on the boys shoulder as he did. He turned, revealing a soft-faced kid with a smile. "What the heck are you doi-ERKGH..."

-

Jun withdrew his bladed spine, absorbing the rapid bone growth back into his body as he did. Hmph, so gullible, these man-things. He looked up at the sky, into the pouring rain and smiled. The pool was growing. Slowly, moving in a perverse combination of slither and walk, his multitude of rippers crawled out, cautiously at first before Jun mentally bade them leave. They where not so slow after that. Chunks of flesh where torn from the body, blood coating the narrow ally walls. Jun simply watched the spectacle with a detached mind. This pray has been easy. He needed something more, something that would provide all new strains to his genetic banks.

He turned on his heel, leaving the rippers to feed. They'd find their way back to the pool before long, swelled with biomass and ready to jump into the acid bath and contribute their material back into the swarm. They would be swiftly replaced, the material absorbed being used to grow even more of their kind.

He checked his watch and frowned; it was late. If he was found out this late, it could bring up some questions. But the pool had needed to be grown, and he'd put off hunting for far too long. He'd simply need to make sure he didn't make too much of a habit of this, less his cover be blown far before the right time. And he wasn't quite ready for his plans to unveiled.

With a sigh he began the walk back the dorm, leaving the site of carnage behind him. The rippers where thorough. There would be little left to find...

Mashed Potatoes? The proof is in the pudding.

Shocking
Hallo~

Okay for one we need to know how many of the rippers is 'a few' :3 also how often he can summon them what happens when they die ker blahblah.

I'd also like to know more about these spikes he can apparently grow

I'd also like more weaknesses for the creatures other than when they're away from him they pretty much go into animal mode. And he needs more weaknesses as well other than being physically weak. There needs to be some limits.

Well, I had talked to Hiro beforehand and he had ok'd it, but alright. I'll edit in some stuff. Before I do, I'll just toss out that he can't personally summon anything. He has to go back to the pit to get more.

Edit: Fixed it up a bit, better?
