ARCHETYPE - 'Spear'
What makes a spear? Is it the bladed edge at the end of an elongated handle? It is defined perhaps by the piercing motion one makes to take a life away in the battlefield? For centuries, humans have wielded that which is called a 'spear': weapons used to shed blood for years, weapons which, among many others, have been drawn and have ended battles. Legends rose among spears of antiquity, tales of their exploits, both heroic and tragic inscribed in the great Library of Akasha. As a weapon given sentience by the almighty library, Longinus possesses the trait of 'ARCHETYPE-Spear'. He can manifest at will various weapons of legends, described by the trait of 'spear'. Every spear that was and ever will be, become his own to use.

Longinus battles using potent spears he himself manifests from his hand. With his reality anchor rooted in Akasha, he has become the very aspect of the spear itself. A weapon that has gained conscience, forging his own path instead of walking down the road of carnage in battle. He can manifest most spears by his own hand, an imprint of the original as remembered by Akasha. Despite how very much real it is to his foes, it is in fact, a replica of a legend, substantiated by reality in it's very sense. A weapon is merely a weapon if no attached to lore: in this same regard the weapons he forges may resemble the weapons of legend, however they do not bear the same strength and potency of the original, save for the only Spear that truly belongs to him. The spear can come in two forms: the original length used with two hands or halved to form two short spears.

In battle, Longinus can call forth any spear of his choosing, manifesting into his hands at will, able to dematerialize should he so wish. These spears will immediately dissipate into wisps of light if it leaves more than 40ft away from him. When held by other hands save for himself, the spear will immediately fade away. He can only have one spear active; the only exception for this is during Golden Wild Hunt. He can never be proficient with any other weapon aside from a spear.

List of Weapons:

Gae Cromaim
Known as the 'Three-forked River Lance' , it is reputed to belong to a Brave, who, having met the humble Saint Patrick in Pagan Ireland, knelt to him in humility earning it the name 'The Kneeling Lance'. As his consorts gloated and rode on to kill the Saint, the man wielded the Lance and emerged victorious against 7 adversaries. It is said that the Kneeling Lance bends to the will of the user, guided by a supernatural force. In battle, this lance can curve 90 degrees, allowing him to strike on a feint.

Shuk-Nigliktok
Of course, Legends exist even when they are forgotten. Originating from an ancient Inuit tradition, the spear roughly translated to 'The Cold Path'. Their legends spoke of a nameless hero who, leading his people into the arctic, was faced upon a vast sea. He cast his hunting spear into the water, venerating the spirits to bide him passage. The spirits, in accordance with his plea, froze the water solid and allowed his people to migrate. This spear, cold to the touch, crackles with Arctic frost.

Areadbhair
A Lance wrought by an Ancient Persian King, it is said to have been the previous incarnation of the spear Lúin of Celtchar. The spear that was said to have brought to an end the terrifying giant Balor, whose mere gaze could set to ruin the land. Areadbhair lusted for battle so greatly that it had to be immersed in water to keep from catching fire. When brandished in battle it burns with searing heat, setting the head of the lance ablaze with fire.

Hangaku-Gozen
The nameless naginata used by a female warrior by the same name, the lance remains sharp, unsullied by defeat or capture. It is said that her spear cut true, for the blade was tempered by hatred only oppression and ridicule could ferment. The bladed edge extends a bit longer than a normal spear, which though unwieldy affords the user with slightly improved reach compared to any of his Spears.

Geas of Knightly Honor - Edict of Scáthach
This ability embodies the pact that Longinus made with Scáthach: in short, the user is forbidden to draw the blood of someone who has not yet drawn his blood. The legendary warrior, convinced that a weapon knew nothing but how to kill, exchanged a Mortal geas with the incarnated weapon in return for her training. Despite learning exceptional martial expertise, the geas Longinus agreed to restricts him in battle. Should the geas be broken, Longinus will lose his connection with Akasha, resulting in the loss of his freewill. He will revert into a mindless killing tool, bent only on shedding the blood of the innocent and pure.

The geas he accepted means that Longinus cannot strike back with lethal force against a foe that has yet to wound him. In battle a single wound could determine life or death, defeat or victory. The very wound that could permit him to retaliate could very well seal the outcome of the battle to his defeat. Despite the enhanced martial prowess the Geas is seen as a hindrance more than a blessing. Nevertheless Longinus continues to abide by his geas, determined to live the life he desired to without raising his weapon against anyone who has yet to slight him, for better or worse.

As recompense to his pact, Longinus is able to heal outside of battle, healing his wounds quickly if 15 posts have passed without any form of combat involving him takes place.

Golden Wild Hunt - Hold high the Lances of Woden
Of course, there is no denying the truth behind the Lance: he was but an instrument of murder, the tool for slaughter and carnage. Surrendering himself into this simple truth, Longinus enters into a terrifying battle trance. Stripped bare of all his inhibitions, save for his concern for the Geas he enters into a murderous rampage, fighting with enhanced capabilities and able to summon multiple spears for his own use, all at once.

When invoked, a strong murderous urge overtakes Longinus' personality. He becomes bitter, rude, competitive and cocky, often taunting others for their weakness compared to him. With all of his inhibitions released the true form of his power manifests, able to use 3 lances of his choice, all of which hover around him. This allows him to dual wield any two lances of his choosing at once. With the enhanced strength he can also wield a full sized lance with just one hand, greatly extending his reach and combat ability. In addition, the orbiting lances can thrust at his command, stabbing in a linear direction in front of him, often complimenting his brutal onslaught in combat.

This ability cannot be used unless the circumstances of the Geas above have been fulfilled and thus allows him to use lethal force against a foe. It can only be used after 5 of his own posts have passed and can only be used once a thread. It lasts for 3 of his own posts. The manifested spears disappear after the effect expires, leaving him to use only one spear of his choice. His eyes turn a topaz yellow to signify the change.

Equipment You Have:
Longinus has yet to acquaint himself with the ways of the human world. Even though Scáthach taught him the basics of living with others, he has often been left to fend for himself and discover the world for what it was. In fact, he was arrested once for attempting to shoplift some food from a supermarket. Now that he was a bit wiser than before, Longinus carries with him his wallet, some money and his agenda.

2) History
3) Cooking

Personality Description:
Honest, diligent and chivalrous with a side of naivete best describes Longinus. Despite his incredible martial prowess Longinus prefers to exercise that right with great caution. Having seen first hand the ravages of war and the carnage that takes place, he tries to solve most problems without the use of force. Despite this he is not above honing his skills, often embroiled in training by himself. Discipline, he finds, matters more than skill with the weapon.

When he isn't training he often explores the human world. Given how most of it still remains a mystery for him, his curiosity often leads to him being a little too gullible. He could be easily scammed, even by someone as naive as a child. He is also incredibly unlucky, a trait, as said by his teacher Scáthach to be a common trait among those who live and die by the lance. Anything that happens, he would almost certainly get the worst of it.

Personal History:
As the lance remained unclaimed and masterless in a vast landscape of carnage, it asked a question to reality above: How can peace sprout from such bloodshed? The cursed spear, reputed to have slain a holy man in bad blood passed through many hands as years went by, striking down countless people. Time and time again, their fates were all the same: an inglorious death, far from the comforts of home and the thrills of the battlefield. Time and time again, the cursed lance asked the same question: what good came from the shedding of blood?

No answer satisfied him. Peace did not come by the slaying of one by his edge; neither did it come when others slew for a higher order. Men of various walks of life fought for a myriad of reasons: some for glory, others for money and some yet to protect their land. But why was it, therefore, they met the same ignoble end? Did the one who fought for their God deserve a fate no better than the scoundrel who fought merely to kill? Time and time again he sought an answer, yet time and time again the reply dissatisfied him.

Then, as he overlooked the remnants of a battle that devastated both armies, with neither soul alive he cursed his existence. What good did he serve, in the end? Was his fate only to take the lives of fathers, husbands and sons? Then, facing reality itself, he questioned the natural order, his very plea reaching into the deepest annals of Akasha: allow me to find the answer behind my question. Allow me...to know. To realize and to find out.

Had it been out of curiosity that his wish was granted? Or was it merely destiny? Akasha itself wordlessly complied and gave life to something that could only take life away. In that day, in the aftermath of the battle of Orleans, where the lance that was ironically held by Joan of Arc herself lay a child who cried out for a mother. Peasants who had come to the battlefield in search for plunder to sell, instead found the child and kept him. He was named Martin, a name his newfound parents was appropriate having supposedly survived a battle that was ordained by God himself to be victorious for the French.

As he grew older, the boy named Martin knew of his purpose: he sought to find the truth to his question. Bidding a silent farewell to his parents at nightfall, he set off into the land of the Gauls to the North, seeking the martial artist by the name of Scáthach. In his journey, he sought the famed martial artist, only to discover her in a realm that was in between our world and the next.

It was there that Martin learned the truth: he was the very incarnation of the Saint-Killing Lance, Longinus. From ancient times the spear was an accursed instrument forged by demons to disrupt the meditation of those hoping to seek enlightenment. The spear was lost through countless battles, assuming many mantles throughout history: A spear that supposedly pierced a Messiah, the Heavenly lance that absolves any of their sins and even the lance borne by Joan of Arc, to which the relief of the Mother Mary hung as she charged to victory in Orleans. Legends told and many tales surrounded him, as Longinus came to accept his destiny.

He trained under Scáthach, learning the ways of the spear and taking a vow never to take a life unjustly. When he had finished his training with the blessings of his teacher, he returned to a world greatly changed. Following his master's advice, he enrolled to a strange school called 'Hyakuji'. There, he was told, would find the answer to his question.

And thus, the Weapon's journey beings anew.

Thank you for your profile!

I have had a look over your profile, and only real issue is that he has too many spears under his first power. I am happy to allow two spears into the power which means it will need three to be removed. You can alternatively just remove the effect of three of the spears so that they do nothing and give them powers on each upgrade period.
Some of the spears will also require clarification on the powers they have, but I will address that on my next post if your chosen two spears require clarification.

Once edits have been made, please post a reply to this character so that I know it is ready to be reviewed again.
