Hyakuji 2.0 Template Character Name: Abel Kinoshita Gender: male Age: 16 Height: 5'8 Weight: 145Ibs Description or Image of Character Appearance: Spoiler: click to toggle Occupation: student Grade Level: 2nd year Powers/ Abilities: Time stop: Abel's ability is a little unique in how it looks and acts. To most people it would be viewed as immortality. The ability to survive anything and not die. But that simply is not the case Abel can die and he will die if stabbed or blown up. Or whatever more macabre thing might be in store for him. It's just that for some odd reason unknown to Abel his body will reverse to the time before the accident. This may take days or seconds depending on the injury but it never fails. Broken bones will restore to what they were and cuts will vanish. The amount of time it takes for this varies from injury to injury more severe ones will take longer to revert back from and simpler ones will be faster. That is to say small cuts and bruises will heal instantly. Gashes will take minutes, and minor fratures of bones will also take minutes. Severed limbs may take up to a day depending on the cut. Completely broken bones will take around an hour. And to revive from death varies based on the kind of trauma given. But generally it would take between 5 to 24 hours. When this does happen clocks can be seen around the body parts that are being reverted. This being said he does feel everything that happens which means he doesn't just go jumping off buildings and getting hit by trucks as if it's nothing. Everything still hurts like it would to a normal human. Besides this ability Abel is completely normal he has no other magical or superhuman power. Anything that might affect a human would certainly affect him. Aside from one thing which seems that Abel's aging process is seemingly slowing down but he isn't completely sure if it is or not. Equipment You Have: Fishing pole, Go board set, An old watch he got from his grandpa Residency Request: Yuki Schedule: Homeroom Teacher: Mare 1) Supernatural Studies 2) History 3) Cooking Personality Description: Abel can be described as an old soul. He is not very energetic and never really takes the spot light in a class room. His mannerisms mimic an elderly person. Abel takes things at a slow pace and never generally speeds anything up. He is somewhat stoic and at times even aloof. Not to say he doesn't understand the situations that he is in or the emotions of the people that he is around. He does and in fact he is very perceptive about things and is quiet empathetic. Generally passive one would never see Abel confront or causing any kind of a scene. Abel generally can get along with most people though he does have trouble with people who tend to be louder. Abel doesn't speak much usually conveying most things with nods or one word sentences. He is a listener for the most part but when he does speak it generally is important. He's pretty trustworthy as well and if he does give someone his word he'll keep it no matter how hard it is to keep. As stated Abel is passive and likes to avoid confrontation because of that he'll generally submit to things like bullying. To him it's much better then the alternative. Despite his usual stoic nature he is very inquisitive about anything new or out of the ordinary. When he see's something that is of interest to him he instantly lights up and follows the thing of interest. He'll start asking questions usually to the point where he won't shut up. Because of his passive nature he's pretty susceptible to being dragged into different kinds of situations by a more strong willed person. Abel doesn't much mind it and though he doesn't show it usually he does find it entertaining. He absolutely loves fishing, Go, Folklore and anything that involves the occult. And will more than gladly tell a person all about these subjects. Abel gets tired quiet early and it is rare for him to stay up past 8 unless he is dragged out by somebody. Abel loves to eat and his food choices generally include elderly dishes. When he is not eating or sleeping he is generally studying the occult, investigating the occult, fishing, or playing Go. Abel's jokes are rather dry added to the fact that he usually keeps a straight face makes most people question whether he is serious or not. Though he doesn't usually crack jokes when he does he experiences a sense of fulfillment and it'll generally show on his face. Though he is generally diligent about most things he does not like anything physical and will find any excuse to get out of the work if it comes out. Because of that he tends to have the highest amount of tardies in PE of his year. Abel is actually quiet shy and when someone talks to him he'll generally become a little fidgety which to some is rather funny. Personal History: Abel was brought into life by a mixed race couple his mom a native from Iwakuni and his dad a Marine who was stationed at the base near Iwakuni. From what he gathered it was love at first sight for the two and they quickly and without hesitation got married not six months afterwards. Which to Abel seems to be a bit to hasty but the two always did get on well. Not two years after this marriage Abel was born. Growing up saw Abel moving around a lot from one base to the next. Most of his formative years were spent going from one base to another. At school he got along well enough with his classmates but he never really bothered standing out. And to the observer it would have seemed that Abel was trying to distance himself. Perhaps to avoid the pain of being separated from his friends. When he was still in elementary school he idolized his dad who to him seemed like some kind of hero. When he got home he would wait anxiously at the window for his dad to pull up from work. When he got home Abel wouldn't stop trying to play with him. His dad never seemed to mind and would always make time with him. It made up for his strained relationship with his classmates. As long as he was with his idol it didn't matter. Soon after fourth grade though his dad separated from the Marine Corps and decided to take up a job as a contractor this saw him gone for months at a time. They moved to Japan and got a house taking in his mothers father after his wife had died. Abel was finally in a stabilized environment but his attitude in school didn't change much. He never evolved to become a social butterfly like his mother had always been. And he didn't precisely take on his fathers charisma. Still he got on rather well with his school mates it was just that he never seemed to stand out much from the crowd. But Abel never much worried about that instead he started following his grandfather around. His grandfather was never much of a talker and he never played in the way that people would play with a child. There was no rough housing or any of those sort of things. Instead most of their days were spent on the porch or at the nearby stream fishing. In fact it seemed like his grandfather never really noticed Abel and vise versa they never really talked when they were together. Had it not been for their Sunday routine which was breakfast, fishing and then a trip the local park where his grandfather and he would play Go together. It was during these times or the times they were fishing when it was peaceful that his grandpa would let out a slight thought or a lesson. Usually it would be of how peaceful it was or how to get a better move in Go or how to snag a fish. But sometimes his thoughts would wander to a tale of a youkai or another Japanese folktale. These usually ended in a lesson for Abel. It was these tales that he loved the most. For a while this was Abel's life a peaceful non eventful but nice life. Still his grandfather was old and shortly after his second year in middle school he died. It was hard to tell if Abel was hurting because he didn't cry. But that was because his grandpa had already told him that everything ends and that everything has to end because otherwise there wouldn't be any beauty to life. And just like his grandfather said time moved on and so did he. The only differences in his routine was that in the morning he'd faithfully put on the watch his grandfather gave him shortly before he died. And the other thing was that after fishing he'd go and take care of his grave. Other then that everything was the same he'd still go to the same park and play GO with the older people there he'd go fishing but usually with some classmates or even alone sometimes. It was during one evening when he was fishing that something a little out of the ordinary happened. While he was on the bank fishing he started to nod off nothing to unusual when he was alone. But when he awoke he saw something at the edge of his left eye. At first it was a blur but then that blur took on the figure of a person and soon he became distinguished. A person that seemed to be humming with old style clothes and a bamboo rod. He didn't say anything at first just threw his line into the stream and sat quietly humming. Abel didn't say a word and the only thing that could be heard was crickets. But after a while the man broke the silence. He started saying things like 'I wish time could just stay still.' Abel didn't respond and the man kept going wondering how good it would be to live in a single moment doing something you loved with the people you loved. At this Abel thought of his grandfather and nodded quietly. The man turned to him and smiled a slightly creepy smile. He then tapped the watch and said simply 'right.' At that he left almost as quickly as he came. Abel thought nothing of it and went back to his house. The next morning he went about his usual routine but noticed his watch had the same time as it did when he left the bank. He didn't think much of it for a while though. It was an old watch it was bound to stop sooner or later and he didn't care to read the time from it he just wanted it on. However things seemed to get a little strange after that incident. At first little things like small cuts or pin pricks instantly vanishing almost instantly after they happened. Then bigger things like when he was playing baseball for PE and was hit with the ball in the face. A broken nose and lots of blood. But by the time he got t the nurse he was completely fine. Abel never became to worried but he did find it strange. And like any person he became curious after looking on the internet he found something on immortality but it didn't seem to be quiet like that. It seemed like his time stopped. His hair stopped growing he wasn't getting any bigger, and no matter how much he ate he stayed the same weight. In fact it seemed like any change that happened to him at some point or another it would reverse. Looking for a reason why this might happen he stumbled upon rumors about a school for the 'gifted'. It was nearing the end of his middle school years and he was thinking that he needed a high school to apply to eventually. After some thought Abel decided to give it a shot and applied for Shin Hykajui. He was accepted and soon headed off to school. Thank you for your profile! I have looked over it, and all that is really required is more detailed clarifications on what kind of wounds take how long to heal. Once that has been clarified, please post a reply to this topic so that I know that the profile is ready to be looked over again. |
