Occupation: Student, Future Radio Show Host/Current intern
Grade Level: 1st year

Powers/ Abilities:

The Bloodstone Circle and Old Oak Doors: Cecil's bloodstone circle is his only connection back to Nightvale. While Cecil can not enter the door, he can look through it too see into Nightvale. Some things can come out of the door to fight for him. By taking a minute or two, depending on stress levels, to arrange his circle on the ground, he can summon an Old Oak Door with a Brass doorknob. After summoning the door, Cecil can open the door and call the name of something to unleash a Nightvalian creature. Said called for creature can fight until it is dead, in which case it is dead. If the fight is over, or the creature is too frightened or injured to fight, it can return through the door. Nothing else can move through the door. Only one creature can be outside the door at a time. If Cecil's bloodstone circle is disturbed, the door will shut, sucking in whatever creature was outside of it.

Khoshekh: Khoshekh is a cat. A completely normal cat. Yup. Nothing wrong here.
Spoiler: click to toggle

Completely normal. Cecil's beloved pet, Khoshekh, is his faithful pet cat. It is a few years old and has molted twice and developed it's grownup kitty spine ridges and poison glands, and is the size of a normal house cat. Khoshekh in combat would be more of a distraction rather than offense. Khoshekh can dart around the battlefield, inflicting painful, but minor wounds with claws, teeth, and poison barbs. The poison doesn't do anything other than cause burning and irritation, occasional infections. Khoshekh has no defenses and is injured and scared easily. Side note, anyone who photographs Khoshekh usually meets a terrible fate within a week of taking the picture. (Players are free to decide whether they get hurt, die, or absolutely nothing happens.)

An Angel, that definitely doesn't exist: While Cecil will swear up and down that they do not exist, it is clear that they do. Any angel that comes through the door looks more or less the same. They are all androgynous, ten feet tall, radiant winged creatures, all of them named Erika, with a K. The angels are a bit carefree, never attacking, only using defensive magic. The angels can cast a protective barrier, absorbing at least four hard blows before it dissolves. They can also open a portal, the exit nearby the immediate area (about 30 feet away.),letting one person through before closing. The portal can either be used for a quick escape or to redirect a charging enemy. The angels get bored easily, not sticking in any fight for long, no longer then 3 minutes. (5-6 posts tops.)

Masked Warrior of a Vast, Wandering Army: In a desert outside of Nightvale, wanders an army of giant, masked warriors. These warriors are nomadic and highly skilled in combat. Cecil will call out to Doug, presumably the captain judging by his size and the respect he appears to garner, when he needs assistance from the masked army. A 12 foot tall, masked warrior will come through to fight for Cecil. The large warrior uses a blunt club to fight, capable of bone shattering hits. Due to his size and lack of armor, he is susceptible to hits and is injured or killed rather easily, depending on the ability of the opponent. All it takes is a well placed stab.

Equipment You Have: Cecil has a Tape recorder, for interviews on the go. He also has his stones for a Bloodstone Circle, his only connection to Nightvale. He has a few keepsakes from childhood, including his Little Reporter's Book of Big Boy Note Taking, which is always documenting his life, even when he is not holding a pen or consciously writing in it. He also has his two Boy Scout badges, Advanced Siege-Breaking Tactics badge and his Subversive Radio Host badge. In unrelated news, he also has a set of over the head headphones, his glasses, and a smartphone that occasionally bleeds from the screen.

Residency Request: Yuki

Schedule:
Homeroom Teacher: Lavender
1) Literature
2) Science
3) Survival Studies

Personality Description: Cecil has a bit of a dual personality. He can be cheerful and optimistic, but can turn at the drop of a hat. He is very proud of his city, despite all the horrors and oddities it harbors. This makes him highly resistant to any standard horrors a standard world can hurl at him. Cecil is vastly optimistic, even when there is grave danger and death involved. He is usually very kind and compassionate, even ethical, most of the time. But, due to his city of origin, his thoughts on "normal" are anything but. He sees that some murders are perfectly legal, and even torture can be okay depending on the situation, revealing a slightly darker nature. He is highly protective of his friends and family, willing to get downright vicious.

Personal History: Cecil is from a little town known as Nightvale. Nightvale is a horrible town where weird is normal and normal is scary. Words can not properly describe. This city, and it's desert is technically a pocket dimension, occurring at the same time as normal life.

Cecil's past is shrouded in mystery, even to himself. There is record of Cecil having a brother, but he remember's nothing of him. Cecil's mother went missing one day, right out of their house. All Cecil remembers of her is a warning she told him, that he would die looking into a mirror. Cecil knows that something has been lurking in mirrors behind him, so he always covers mirrors.

Cecil, is an intern at Nightvale's community radio station. He loves his job and loves his city and is excited to eventually report all happenings that happen there. Unfortunately, Cecil fell victim to the radio stations high mortality rate for interns. Cecil found an Old Oak Door in the station one day and decided to go through. This action ended up with him in Hyakuji, and trapped away from Nightvale.

The character's looking good, but there's a couple of things that could use some working out.

First off is the alleged death curse that comes with his Khoshekh, where those who photograph it will die within a week. Unless you're saying that this is a plot-based power for those who wish to kill off their character, I don't think it's fair to have a power that's essentially brings about a guaranteed death. It needs to be either removed, or toned down with a disclaimer that players are free to decide whether or not the curse affects them.

Then there's the angel; time is a bit tricky to keep track of in roleplay terms, so it would be helpful if you also provide an equivalent in terms of the number of posts for the time duration of the angel summon.

Other than these two outstanding issues, I don't see much problem with your character. Work on these, and you're ready to go.

All right, tweaked those two items, also specified the Angels portal more clearly.
