It was evening here in Izanai park. The sun was starting it’s decline and in turn created a cool weather, rare for summer. The clouds shielded the sun, constructed an illusion that it was later than usual. Around this time, parents were starting to take their children home, family picnics was coming to a close and couples decided to abandon the park in search for dinner. However there was one person who didn’t fit in that category. Sayo sat alone as the majority of the population went on with their day. She didn’t have a partner to share an evening meal with, her family would never waste their time in a mundane place as a park and that was fine with her. She was satisfied with being alone, quiet atmosphere the park was offering. Sayo enjoy being in this park, even if her parents might disapprove. She adjusted her red muffler out of habit. She set her technology aside, next to her, in favor of soaking in the scenery. The variety of color in the sky entranced her that she didn’t see a suspicious figure approach. A hooded man stalked closer and in one sweep began to dashed away with her phone. Instantly, she reached to grabbed him and caught a handful of his clothing. “Hey! THEIF! Someone!” But before she could do anything else, he knocked her down to the ground and disappeared into the bushes. “Stop!” Standing up, she watched the thief go as panic settled in. There was some critical information on that phone. The majority of her daily transaction happened through that device. Sure, it was password locked but with the right skills a hacker would have unlimited access to her resources. Money, contacts, messages, sensitive information. A cold numbing feeling sank in, that stole phone could be used against her family’s company. She need to get it back. |

Ahh, Izanai Park. It was probably Jack's favourite part of the city. Wide open spaces combined with ease of access to the more urban parts of the city. He was currently having an evening stroll along the path when he heard a female voice cry out in the distance in the distance. The Garou's enhanced hearing picked up the sound of a somewhat familiar voice shouting. “Hey! THIEF! Someone!" His ears perking up, Jack sprinted towards the sound of the cry. Not even considering what it could be. The voice sounded distressed. Someone needed help, and Jack intended to give it. He arrived on the scene to see a distressing sight to his protective instincts. A familiar girl was lying on the ground seemingly pushed by a figure that disappeared into the bushes. But Jack couldn't care less about the person responsible right now. He could track the perpetrator's scent and teach him some manners later. Right now there was a possibly injured girl present. He rushed to her side, he recognised the girl by sight and scent, but not name. She was in his survival studies class and was present when he fought alongside some others against a horde of Lucid clones at the beach. He spoke up form behind her. "Hey.. um.... scarf girl." Smooth Jackie. "Are you ok?" Concern was evident in his voice. He would track down the thief once he was sure the girl was unharmed. Edited by Epicjester, Aug 23 2014, 02:10 AM.

Sayo turned around was faced with a tall but familiar boy. She’d seen him before, they shared a class together and among other events. Though their interactions were brief, he’d proven himself to be very helpful. No doubt his skills would be helpful now. “Fine…” What was his name again? Sayo searched through her memories, she was fairly good with putting names and faces together. Odd, she couldn’t find anything. Huh, they’ve never properly introduced each other. “It’s Sayo Rie, wolf boy.” Though she didn’t know his name, she did remember his compassionate nature. He was the perfect person to help her recover her phone. Sayo looked back at him with hurt in her eyes. It wasn’t hard to fake since she was very upset right now. In a meek tone she explained what happened. “I was just enjoying the nice weather when a figure jumped on me. He took my phone and pushed me.” She showed him her red palm which scratched when she fell down. It stung a little, she wished her palm was bleeding so it would add to the dramatics. Then hugged herself for self comfort, hoping it would make her look even more vulnerable. She looked away and requested softly, “It’s precious to me...could you help me find it? You’re the only one.” Which wasn’t true, her phone had a GPS system but getting the wolfish boy to help her was much more favorable. She wanted to see him use his powers again and to see what he was capable of for future reference. She look into his eyes with a silent plea. Was it enough? Maybe she needed to start crying. It would be easier to use her powers right away but if possible, she wanted to save until it was of the utmost importance. She dislike presenting herself in weak manner but it wasn’t beneath her. "Wolf boy?" He parroted. Some amusement in his voice. He supposed it was inevitable he gets a name like that. He wasn't exactly subtle about his lycanthropy. He listened to Sayo's story, his face growing darker with every passing second. When she was finally finished with her explanation. He was silent for a moment. The girl needed his help. She was pulling at his heartstrings and it was working. "Alright then. Give me a minute and we can go teach your thief some manners." Without another word he transformed into his wolf form and began sniffing the area. He picked up an unfamiliar scent easily enough. It would be a simple matter for him to follow it in human form. Changing back, he looked to Sayo. "I got his trail. We can follow him now." He would set off on the trail, beckoning Sayo to follow. "The name's Jack Argent by the way." |

Sayo blinked, surprise at how easy that was. She didn’t even have to use her powers and hardly any acting. People here are just too kind, someone might just take advantage of that. But she wasn’t complaining. Sayo smiled, “Yes, lets.” Watching him turn into a wolf was amazing, she’d seen his form before and it still amazed her. And how fast his tracking skill was. She could definitely need someone like that at her beckon call. Did she feel guilty of luring him in to help her? No, why should she? He was just a nice boy doing nice things. But what she will do, Sayo might feel little guilty. Seeing him transform and track was not enough, she wanted more. To do that, Sayo might have to push him close to the edge. However, that was for later now she needed to get her phone. “Nice to meet you, Jack Argent.” At this point, Sayo have dropped most of her act. She still retain some innocent timid demeanor but her eyes shifted to intense ambition. She followed him, quicken her pace a little. She’d seen the thief disappear in the bushes and into the vegetation. She wasn’t looking forward to walking in unpaved roads but she was use to it. Survival class had taught her torrance. “That sounds like a foreign name.” Sayo commented conversationally. She watched his expression to see if it was a safe topic. Most of the students here had a tragic past. It wouldn’t do to upset her savior so early in their quest. |

"That's because it is foreign." Jack answered as he led Sayo though the vegetation. Pushing aside some of the larger branches tp allow the smaller girl to walk through undisturbed. "My dad is from France and it means "silver" in French. He looked back a her, a slight smile on his face. "You can imagine how I felt when after I got my powers. I was werewolf who's last name means silver. It seems that the universe does have a sense of humour." He let out a small chuckle at that. "What about you?" He asked back, taking occasional sniff of the air to make sure they were on the right track. "You're second name, Rie. It sounds very familiar but I cant tell where I've heard it before." Was she the daughter of some famous celebrity or actor. The name gnawed at the back of Jack's mind. He knew he heard it somewhere before. |

“My family owns a company. It’s not commercial so I don’t expect you to recognized the name.” Sayo replied. Her company mostly deal with other business but the name might have slip here and there. “Although there was mention of my name in recent news.” With one involving a notorious clan. She appreciated his attentiveness in making the path easier for her. It would be terrible if her large muffler got caught in a branch. “How are you enjoying Hyakuji High so far?” It was getting dark and the ground was soft and wet. She wondered why the mugger was in deep inside, where there were no people around. It was unsettling and weird. She would imagine the thief go somewhere populated to try and resell it for money or somewhere with technology so to unlock her device. Edited by Sayo Rie, Aug 23 2014, 12:54 PM.

Jack gave another smile as Sayo if he was enjoying himself at the school. "Apart from me having to fight for my life every now and then. I love it here. There's always something interesting happening. Never a dull moment." He looked back at her. "What about you? Enjoying yourself? Have any interesting adventures besides changing gender and fighting a horde of Lucid's?" He took another sniff of the air..... Odd. Their thief was still leading them further into the park. The hairs on the back of Jack's neck stood on end. There was something wrong here and he didnt know what it was. He slowed down slightly, so he was right beside Sayo. "Stay close." He murmured, his voice soft. He closed his eyes in an attempt to sharpen his sense of hearing. When he opened them again they had shifted to their feral form. "Something's not right." His hands dropped to his sides. The nails on them slowly sharpening. He continued to walk forward, right beside Sayo. Why was their thief leading them so far in? Why wasn't he heading towards the city proper? This irked Jack. But he continued on. Now prepared for any sudden movements Edited by Epicjester, Aug 23 2014, 01:23 PM.

“I agree there’s so much going on, there never seem time for a break.” Sayo commented. There were fun moments, dangerous moments and crazy moments but never one where she could just relaxed. “It’s been an educational experience so far, well perhaps not all the time. I still haven’t learned a thing in Cooking class.” When he slowed down, she knew something wasn’t right. She watched with unfailing amazement at his ability. Keen senses, sharp nails, what more can this boy do? She continued to follow him, herself very much alert of her surroundings. “Do you see something?” Something moved in the distance, the rustle of leaves here and there like it was surrounding them. Sayo couldn’t catch it but there eel like creatures slithering in the air. It wasn’t dark enough but they were carrying something glowing. A silhouette figure in a fair distance, hidden among the thick vegetation, to aim. An arrow came flying toward Jack, targeting his shoulder. Then without rest, another arrow fired at his leg. |

Maybe it was the way the wind blew an odd scent to him, perhaps it was a flicker in his vision. But the most pressing thing was the distant creak of a string being pulled back. All of these things came to him at once. And every one of them caused his instincts to scream at him to dodge. Grabbing at Sayo he would tackle the girl to the ground, shielding her with his body. He would then realise that his action had led to him essentially pinning the girl underneath him. He could get embarrassed about what he did later. As he got an arrow in the side of his shoulder for his trouble, but it was not a crippling wound. Since he was already moving he thankfully avoided the arrow that was a crippling shot. Still hurt like hell though. "Stay low and quiet. I'll be right back." He whispered to Sayo, pulling out the arrow with a hiss of pain. He then sprang off, dashing forward on all fours. Keeping low to the ground, the Garou ran in a unpredictable pattern making it difficult for the archer to line up another shot. All while he was moving, the teen triggered his transformation. All while he was running he was gaining muscle, his skeleton was changing and black hair was rapidly growing all over his body. When his transformation was complete, the werewolf let out a blood-curdling growl. The beast's powerful limbs propelling it at an incredible speed towards where the archer was. He would smash aside any obstacles in his way. And would move with blinding speed. Swinging his massive arm with monstrous strength. With the intention of swatting the archer aside. The force of the blow strong enough to break ribs if it connected. Edited by Epicjester, Aug 24 2014, 11:19 AM.

Sayo was impressed at his quick instincts, she hadn’t seen the attack coming until it was too late. She stared at his wound curiously, wondering if his powers gave him the ability to heal faster. Sayo blinked, “Wait, where are you-?” Jack dashed away, foolishly went straight for their attacker. He went offensive without even any knowledge of their opponent. She commend him for his tactics, shifting from side to side so it would be harder for the archer but in her eyes it still wasn’t a wise choice. Was he that confident in himself or just stupid? Perhaps, ‘stupid’ was too strong but she didn’t like people who act without first thinking. She stayed low as Jack advised, unable to see him from where she was. The grass and bushes rustled around her and she pressed her lips together. There was definitely something: a snake or bird? Whatever it was, she was ready. Without Jack around, she didn’t have to play the weak girl act. Sayo stood up, leaned against a large tree and brushed off dirt from her previous fall. Sayo surrounded herself with an aura of fear, the one that makes survival instincts kick in. The rustled and out flew eel-like creatures from it’s hiding spots. There were five of them and clearly from the supernatural. They flew around her in a circular motion before flying away. They probably decided it wasn’t worth attacking her. The creatures flew away in the same direction as Jack’s. Stopping her powers, she decided to follow them and find him. Hopefully, he was fighting and she could get a glimpse. The archer aimed and fired another arrow. She missed, the target was faster than she expected. Undeterred, she fired again. Another miss. She didn’t let the boy’s transformation distract her. She continued to fire and missing each time due to her target random movements. He was getting close now. She was about to pull another arrow when she stopped and lowered her hand. With her bow, she propelled it against her target’s attack. The bow glowed with spiritual powers and act as a force field. While the shield took some damage away, the archer was sent flying back and fell to the ground. She’d taken damage and now half-unconscious. Thankfully her Soul Collectors made it in time, they paid no attention to their master’s attack and concentrated on healing her injuries. "I suggest you leave this place before dark." She warned. His teeth pulled back to show his fangs in a savage grin when he sent to attacker flying. It seemed her shield was no match for his raw power. He was about to pounce and pin the shooter against a nearby tree when her soul catchers appeared. The eerie eel creatures, seemingly healing their mistress. Since the archer no longer made an aggressive moves, Jack hung back. Still ready to pounce if she mad a move for her bow or her eels attacked him. He heard the distant crunch of leaves behind him, followed by the scent of Sayo. Good, the girl was unharmed. And she seemed to be trying to sneak up on them. Most likely to observe. Jack made no movement to acknowledge her. He was content to let her think she was hidden. However he did move so that he was in between Sayo and the archer. If she wanted to attack Sayo, she would have to get through Jack. Jack let out a low growl as the attacker warned him to leave the area. "Talk instead of shooting." He rasped out, his vocal cords warped to the point were a casual conversation was beyond him. But he could still make out short sentences. "Why we need leave?" He questioned. Curious as to why the archer would go as far as shoot at people to ward them away from the area. He rose to his full height. "We look for hooded man. He near?" If Jack really had to leave he should at least attempt to get Sayo's phone back first. "We find him, we leave." Despite his anger at being shot. Jack was still able to negotiate. Now that he had a chance to calm down form the initial rush of transformation. He did say that he would help the girl. And Jack never abandons someone who needs his help. |

Sayo stayed low, struggling to see over Jack. She caught a glimpse of their attacker before being ultimately blocked by the big wolf. A pretty miko laid injured. So she’d missed action. Hopefully there was more fight to come. But Jack was in a negotiable mood and while it’s always smart to talk instead of using fist, Sayo was really hoping for demonstration of his raw power. She repositioned her muffler as she debated whether or not to use her powers to ‘convince’ Jack to use his once more. Maybe just a small dose of rage. Don’t be foolish. Sayo scolded herself. They were in a precarious a situation, now was not the time. She’ll get her chance later and she was also curious as to what the miko wanted. Not to mention she need her phone back. Sayo was able to get a view of the miko when Jack shifted. The miko ignored Jack and stood back up on her feet. She winced and walked over to where her weapons lay. Her Soul Collectors moved around her worriedly. She bend over and picked her bow and quiver. Once she finish taking her time, the miko turned back to Jack. “I’ve warned you once, if you choose to stay then do so.” The miko turned around and began to walk away. She stopped and add, “I know of your ‘hooded man’ but I will not tell you. He should not be your concern.” With that, she began to walk away along with her Soul Collectors. Jack's claw found itself on his face as he attempted a werewolf's version of a facepalm. The miko knew where the thief was. Jack had told her that they intended to leave the area when they found him. So why was the woman being so unhelpful? Honestly, sometimes people confused the hell out of the Garou. Since the archer made no aggressive moves and simply left the area. Jack watched her leave with a wary eye. He had her scent. So if needed he could track her down. Letting out a sigh the werewolf changed back into his human form. His form collapsing in on itself as mass disappeared and fur retracted back into the boy's body. Letting out a breath that was visible in the evening air. Jack's stomach let out a low growl. Shifting forms always burned a large amount of energy and his muscles twinged with pain. But if he pushed himself he could probably do it again if he needed to. SO long as he keeps it to short bursts he doesn't need t worry about losing control. Turning so that he was now facing Sayo. His eyes slowly changing back from gold to brown as he called out to her. "I take it you caught all that. It seems the woman who has never heard of signs wants us to leave quickly." He walked over to her. "I still have your thief's scent. Do you want to call it a night and try tomorrow? Or do you want to keep going? I'm fine either way." By this point the bleeding wound on the boy's shoulder had slowed considerably. It barely bothered him. His inner beast helping him suppress the pain. However his t-shirt was now soaked in the crimson liquid. Edited by Epicjester, Aug 25 2014, 03:43 PM.

Sayo stood back up, little caught off guard that he noticed her. Must be part of his powers that alerted him of her presence. She debated her options of returning or continuing her search, both were very hard decisions. Her phone was important and ideally should be recovered at once but Jack didn’t look too good. Or rather his shirt, which was dyed red, didn’t look too good. The blood was a real cause for concern, was he fit enough to continue? Though he said he was ‘fine’, she didn’t want him collapsing in the middle of the forest. Who’s going to escort her out of here if Jack went out of commission? “We’ll go as far as you can go.” She decided. “If you can’t go any further, we’ll stop.” She looked pointedly at his wounds. It was his own body, he should know his limits. She hadn’t forgotten her main focus of interest. Sayo still want to see more of Jack’s ability but she also didn’t want a damaged product. The wolfish boy was a big investment in her eyes so far and it would be ashamed if she was to lose it because her curiosity. Sayo looked to where the miko disappeared wearily. It was dark as if the shadows gathered down that path, shrouding what laid ahead. Trees and vegetation seem to stretched on even though they were still in the park. She didn’t remember the park having a forest or maybe it was just getting dark and hard to get a good estimate. Unknown to Sayo, her thief was closer than she’d imagined. He was down the mysterious path and in a close proximity to the miko. But that’s not the only thing down that path, even further down was miasma that was slowly making it’s way up and eating everything in it’s touch. Edited by Sayo Rie, Aug 26 2014, 12:34 PM.
