"Tsk, won't just be put under will you." Gaius commented using the broken earth to jump throw the zombies strikes and landing on another piece of earth. He often used his own terramancy to change up the battlefield. He was used to jumping from unstable footing whilst remaining able to fight on it. Whilst he could potentially get himself more stable footing after a small break in the use of his terramancy right now he was currently out of luck in that department. His best bet would be to take out their leader. Gaius charged towards the leader, drawing his blade from the sheath with incredibly speed he sliced towards the arm that was currently holding the staff. Hopefully he could sever the arm that held the staff, thereby rendering it's earth shattering powers useless. |

"ThE 4tH LeGiOn NeVeR SuRrEnDeRs!" the standard bearer exclaimed, blocking the strike with his sword, then returning the attack in kind with one from his staff. The two of them were fighting on a small platform barely 10 feet in diameter and just as high off the ground. It was obvious the legionnaire was trying to force him off, using the sword to block and the staff to attack. He didn't need to wound Gaius, just knock him down into the ravening hordes below. |

Gaius moved back barely stepping out of the way of the staff strike, his feet at the edge of the platform. It seemed like the fight had finally become one on one, admittedly it was rather dangerous though, one false step could send him plummeting to the ground and to his defeat rather quickly. "Unfortunately for you, neither do I." Gaius responded to the bearer. He moved one foot forward and twisted his body to the side, his hand was on the hilt of the blade and the other was on the sheath. He wasn't planing on attacking just yet however. He had to wait until the legionnaire's guard was down, after that he would strike with all the momentum of his blade. He lowered his center of gravity and waited for his opponent to try and strike him, if he could just successfully dodge his opponent's strike then he could potentially end the fight here and now. |

The legionnaire swung with his staff, but perhaps some remnant of the soldier this creature had once been sensed his intention. Or maybe, it was just instinct that made him realize what was happening. Either way, by the time he realized Gaius' plan, the blade was already swinging for the staff. The standard bearer twisted his body, his spine letting out a sickening crack as he blocked the strike. Both the sword, and the arm holding it went flying into the crowd of undead. The Legionnaire fell back to the edge, supporting itself with the staff. That action had cost it more than just the arm. It appeared as though it's spine was broken and it couldn't walk. It seemed Gaius's plan had worked, he had managed to disarm (pun fully intended) his opponent. Victory seemed all but certain for him now as the legionnaire didn't seem to be able to move. Gaius however wasn't going to underestimate his opponent, regardless of the state he was in he was still an enemy. Boasting would not only be uncouth and unneeded but it could potentially be very dangerous still, besides they had earned his respect. "You were a good opponent, all of you." Gaius said as he once again fell into a stance to attack his opponent. "I thank you for the fight." They had definetly challenged him, they even managed to give him new ideas on how to use his powers in the future. Stepping forward Gaius drew his blade in an attempt to sever the body of the legionnaire in half. He was not about to prolong this any further then it had to be. He had to wonder whether or not they would've been stronger when they were alive. Unfortunately for Gaius he would never get to test himself against them as they were during their life. |

The legionnaire pushed off with the staff, falling backward into the crowd of zombies. "YoU MaKe MiStAkE, BoY! We ArE LeGiOn! We FiGhT As OnE!" The zombies began to crowd the spot where the standardbearer had fallen. More and more zombies piled on, forming a mound that got larger and larger until it was a good 15 feet high. The sounds of cracking bones and the howls of the undead reached Gaius' ears as the Legionnaires continued to form a pile that slowly took on the shape of a gigantic legionnaire. A good 20 feet tall, he towered over the platform Gaius had made. The giant conglomeration of undead stomped toward Gaius, staring at him from a multitude of the eyes that dotted it's hide. "NoW We TrUlY OnE!" the former zombies exclaimed as it lumbered toward Gaius |

It seemed like the standard bearer had other ideas then an honorable death, that was a disappointment. What respect Gaius had for the legion began to vanish quickly, while their team work was superb what they lacked was the dignity to quit when they had already lost. "What a disappointment." Gaius spoke somberly, it seemed like they had to be put down like dogs now. Ultimately he was saddened that they decided to ruin such a good fight by going and doing this kind of thing. It was a farce with the legion pulling every trick in an attempt at victory even after having an honorable defeat. "Guess I'll have to put you down like the dogs you are then." Gaius concentrated, he began to manipulate the multiple tombstones that had fallen into the chasms returning them around him. They started to spin around in a circle, slowly at first but gathering speed before it was a blur where one tombstone seemed to connect to another tombstone. Gaius sent the wheel of rapidly moving tombstones right into the giant behemoth zombie aiming to sever it's top half from it's bottom. |

"We FiGhT As OnE!" came the discordant voice that now issued from the numerous mouths of the zombie hulk. "ThE LeGiOn FiGhTs ToGeThEr AnD FaLlS ToGeThEr!" The tombstones struck the hulk dead center of it's torso, tearing through it's midsection like a buzz saw cutting through wood. Despite this, the hulk, just kept moving forward, seemingly uncaring that it was being bisected. The hulk raised one fist and smashed the center of the platform, shattering it, but also causing it's own hand to break apart, sending pieces of zombie in all directions. The loss if it's hand did not seem to faze it though, and it attempted to grab him with the other hand even as the top half began to topple over. Edited by BlitzScythe, Aug 20 2014, 02:25 AM.

It seemed like the being wouldn't just die, thankfully however his impromptu stone saw seemed to be effective cutting straight into the giant pile of corpses. Unfortunately thought it wasn't working quick enough, noticing the creature's giant fist slamming down onto the center of the platform Gaius raised chunks of earth above him to shield him. The earth began to crack apart before finally giving way and being broken through along with the platform, Gaius was sent falling off of the platform eventually landing on some earth he manipulated to act as a platform again. His back hurt like hell because of the fall but he didn't have time to dwell on it, forcing himself to stand up saw the body beginning to topple over whilst reaching for him. "JUST STAY DOWN ALREADY." Gaius yelled as he began to manipulate the largest amount of earth he could into a vaguely sword shaped amount. It was about 5ft long and 2 ft wide, Gaius with the help of his terramancy grasped it and swung it at hand of the giant corpse. It wouldn't really do much in terms of cutting ability but it would still feel like getting hit by a large amount of earth if it managed to land the swing. |

The sword cleaved through the giant hand, splattering flesh hunks and bone shards in all directions. The hulk let out a discordant roar as it collapsed, little more than a head and torso with arms that lacked hands. Nonetheless it was still bent on smashing him as evident when it raised it's arms in an overhand swing and attempted to crush Gaius and his platform again. Only this time with the full weight of it's massive body! |

Gaius definetly had to give it to his opponent, he was being irritatingly durable. Anything else that Gaius put through this amount of damage would most likely end up dying or at least being unable to fight back by now but it seemed the mountain of corpses just didn't want to give it up. For the most part Gaius had continually been whittling the giant body down bit by bit and it seemed to be working effectively for the most part. He had managed to take out a large chunk of the body and left it as a head on a torso with hand less arms. Without speaking a word Gaius jumped off of the platform that he was on landing with a roll to soften his blow on another platform which he had manipulated to appear. The platform that the opponent was hitting would suddenly break apart into loads of sharp rocks which would attempt to fly straight through the giant body of the opponent. The hulk gained several new holes but kept coming. Now with only one arm and a torso full of holes, it looked like it was on it's last legs. In a manner of speaking seeing as it had no legs. "No! ThE 4tH LeGiOn ShAlL NoT FaLl!" rang the voice of the standard bearer as it leapt from the collapsing corpse. It landed in front of Gaius with four arms, two of which were armed with swords the last two holding the banner. Based on the look of his lower torso, the legs were a loaner just like his other three arms. |

"Back to one on one now that your little trick failed you." Gaius spoke to the banner man as it's new and strange form landed in front of him. "To bad you've already shown that you can't beat me regardless of what you try." It was unfortunate that it had come to him trying to be this abomination in an attempt at winning. It robbed Gaius of any joy or honor that the battle held and now just made it putting down a monster. Gaius shook his head in disappointment at the banner man. "I disagree, you've already fallen you just can't accept it." Placing his hand on the hilt of his blade Gaius prepared to attack the banner man, if he thought having multiple weapons would make him victorious he was in for a surprise. Behind the banner man two pieces of earth had changed themselves to look exactly like the blade that Gaius was using. Gaius and the two pieces of earth all slid their blades out towards the enemy, aiming to sever the banner man's body apart from itself. This fight had been going on far to long, Gaius would have to try and end it somewhat quickly |

The standard bearer blocked both earth blades with the banner staff. The instant the rocks touched the banner, they turned to sand and crumbled away. Gaius' strike was blocked by the left sword which was quickly followed by a stab with the right sword. As the sand settled to the ground, Gaius saw... a shadow. It was hanging from the staff like a banner and it seemed to be emitting some kind of aura. One that he could now see surrounding the standard bearer. |

A quick jump and Gaius managed to get out of the way of most of the strike, the opponent's blade managed to barely scratch through his skin. Gaius cursed as he felt pain burn through his arm. It seemed like this was starting to get more and more annoying as the fight continued on. He silently took note of the strange shadow that surrounded the staff, he wasn't quite sure what was with it but it seemed relatively important, the fact that it was managing to disable his terramancy was also reason enough to try and get rid of it. In an incredibly risk move Gaius ran forward and aimed a kick straight at the banner staff which was being held. If he was lucky he could snap it apart and at least hinder his opponent's ability to defend himself against his terramancy, if it ended up with him getting a bit more injured then so be it. |
