Lilica would purse her lips for a moment after Gaius spoke before responding. "Followed by 1,647, and then 76," she would say, her tone still in its wistful memory-mode. She would right her head after that, and her smile would return. "Sorry, I was counting the number of times characters have said things like that to me. Got caught up in a little bit of nostalgia as well. So, by all means, continue vowing your revenge on the beautiful creature who tricked you~ It will make for a great story!" |

Gaius wasn't even mad, he was impressed that someone had managed to get that many people after her head. "I feel like you aren't taking any of this seriously at all." Gaius voiced aloud, he was being underestimated now. "On a side note how many people have you tricked into contracts if seventy five others are after your head for it." He was legitimately curious, it seemed like he had calmed down from his earlier outburst. "Well." Gaius had calmed down completely now, even having a laugh. "I shouldn't be surprised really." It seemed like he was by far not the only one that the girl had managed to annoy immensely. A smirk even managed to find it's way onto Gaius's face, so she thought this was all a story. That was interesting to say the least. "If theres that many people after your head there isn't much reason to go after it myself then." He was curious what would happen if the story stopped being so entertaining, would she get frustrated? |

Lilica would shrug, apparently not bothered by the fact that Gaius thought she wasn't taking him seriously. "I don't trick anyone into contracts. They enter of their own free will. I never force them to do anything, whether it's by blade or by guile. It's just that so many of them seem to think that I tricked them into it somehow. It's like they don't even know that's not how stories work! I mean, no Storyteller tricks their characters into doing something! That'd be like tricking a brush into moving a certain way while you're painting!" |

"I don't think I agree with that." Gaius spoke as he folded his arms in thought for a moment. "I know a lot of storyteller's that have influence over their stories, why do you think the saying 'History is written by the victor.' exists." He pointed out, he wasn't sure if that was logically a correct statement but from his own point of view history was just the story of the past and if it was changed based on the events of the story then it couldn't be completely true. He was curious about what was the girl's perspective of that. It was probably something condemning those people as fake story tellers. Regardless he was in a bit of an annoying position now anyways. Sighing Gaius thought for a moment, he supposed that technically the offering thing (even if he did it correctly) wasn't that annoying. He enjoyed crafting things with his terramancy and this provided him with a method of not having to get rid of his creations due to lack of room. "Anyways, will sculptures do for the offering." Gaius spoke, since he was locked into this he may as well get down to business with it. "I'm pretty decent at making things out of earth, at least I'd like to think I am." He said as he gestured to the statue of the girl and her companions, even though he really had no intention of not going down this path he waited for the girl's answer. The Fae would wave off Gaius' statement. Jeez, characaters could be so ignorant sometimes. "And, as is the norm for you characters, you don't understand what a Storyteller truly is. Anyone can write something, Gaius. Not everyone can tell you how a story goes, though." She would sigh after that, shaking her head. "But you wouldn't understand, would you? You poor, misguided dears haven't been a real story here for ages." Lil shook her head for a moment, clucking slightly. The two Toadies still perched on her would pat her consolingly for a moment. However, she would perk up as Gaius discussed giving her things. "Oh, sure. I guess that will work~" |

Clearly either this person was someone who was so immersed with the idea of a story that she had decided to alter her perceptions to fit in with her idea or she wasn't even human to begin with. As much of a strange jump that was it did make sense, incredibly up herself, referring to people as characters and those toad like creatures referring to him as a mud man. The hypocrisy would be that that would mean if she was a human that their master was a mud woman but obviously that would be an insult to her, from where Gaius was standing it wasn't a completely crazy connection. "Good, hope you have enough room then." Gaius stated, honestly even if she didn't have enough room to put them it was completely fine with him. If anything the larger the sculptures he made the more likely she would run out of room which was perfectly fine with him on the slim chance that it would annoy her. Even though he would come to regret what he was going to ask next he decided that he should find out, if only as extra pressure to remember to do the damned thing every day. "Alright, what happens if I break the contract?" Gaius asked before he continued on. "Do I lose my head, have my arm fall off or some other horrid gruesome method of death? As per the normal way of things in these kinds of stories." He had read a few stories himself or as she would probably say, cheap knockoffs. A fair few of the had quite some similarities with his current position. Edited by Shadies, Aug 14 2014, 08:29 AM.
