Selene Candymaker hurried through the halls of Yuki house. Her time was short and she had to make the most of it. With any luck there was still time to enact her plan.

Stopping in front of one of the doors, she began to knock insistently and loudly. "Selene? Selene Frostfire? It's Selene Candymaker. I need to talk to you about something urgent!" she called

Her purpose for coming was quite urgent. She needed Selene's company resources for her plan as well as Frostfire herself to assist in the fight if possible. She continued to knock, hoping Frostfire was inside.

As Selene continued to knock, unbeknownst to the candy mage, Selene Frostfire was only just exiting the shower, and as such wasn't aware of the frantic knockings on the door. However, one of the corporate heiress' roommates responded, and Selene would hear footsteps from inside, running towards the door. "I'll get it, Selene- ow-ow-OUCH!" and the candy mage would find her knuckles rapping against the forehead of a pink-haired girl with green eyes.

"Oh God why... what did I do?" the pink-haired girl mumbled as she staggered backwards, rubbing her forehead and appearing to be holding back tears. "Yes... Selene-san lives here..." the pink-haired girl sniffed as she stopped rubbing her forehead to look up at the brown-haired girl with pink eyes who strangely shared the same first name as her roomie and best friend.

"Yuki-chan? I thought I heard a-" Selene Frostfire would appear a brief moment later, the corporate heiress barely having managed to slip into a linen bath robe, her pumpkin-colored hair still damp from having gotten out of the shower. "Oh, it's you Selene," the corporate heiress took note of the candy mage, before gesturing for the other girl to come in.

"So what brings you to my dorm?" Frostfire asked, raising an eyebrow as she glanced towards her roommate. "But first things first, I think you owe my friend an apology," the summoner remarked, glancing over at Yuki's reddening forehead, while the pinkette merely shook her head sheepishly.

"It's alright, Selene-san!" the miko interjected in a sheepish tone of voice, shaking her head. "I... It was just bad timing and maybe a little bit of bad luck too! Maybe that's what I get for missing out on a corner of the shrine I was supposed to clean the other day!" the girl chuckled uneasily, before slinking away into the kitchen, presumably to get ice from the fridge to make an ice pack for her forehead.

"Well, if you insist," Selene remarked with a sad smile and a sympathetic shake of her head, before turning her attention back to the other Selene. "Well then, come on in, Ms. Candymaker. Make yourself at home, and care to share what brings you to my humble abode?"

Selene nodded, stepping inside. Even in the indoor lighting, her bruises were apparent, especially the one over her right eye.

"Yes thank you Selene. It is a most urgent matter actually. I presume you heard about the incident at Doki Doki land and the mall?" she asked, taking a seat with only a little wincing.

She held back an utterance of pain and looked Selene Frostfire in the eye. "I'll get right to the point, I need your help trying to stop it from happening again."

The corporate heiress' expression turned dour as Selene spoke about the mall and the amusement park. After those two high-profile attacks made by former defenders of Hyakuji? It was little surprise that it was the talk of the town; one simply could not tune in to a TV or radio channel in Japan that wasn't covering a story on the attacks one way or another. "Aye, I heard about the attacks... and thing is, I knew all of those who carried them out," Selene nodded as she closed the door behind her, gesturing towards the couch in the living area for the candy mage to get seated.

"They were my friends, and many times we have fought side-by-side against all manner of threats to the school, to the city... even to the world," the pumpkin-haired girl remarked. Judging from the bruises the other Selene suffered, it didn't take long for the summoner to hazard a guess that the brown-haired girl was among those who'd tried to fight back against the attackers. "Well then, so you require my help; but seeing what they were capable of, I'm not sure if it'd make a difference even if I joined this fight," the corporate heiress continued, before falling silent for a short moment, looking at the other Selene in the eyes.

"Unless you're looking for my help in some other way. But you're right; one way or another these attacks need to be stopped."

She looked away. "I have not been here long, but I have heard tales of Hyakuji's heroes from more than one person. I do not think they are entirely in control of their actions... That's why I need your help to find the person responsible for this and to protect the citizens of Hyakuji."

She reached into her pouch and removed a small notebook, "I need your help to build a teleporter. One capable of transporting people to and from a location." she explained. "We could use it to get to the areas being attacked faster, and more importantly it could be used to evacuate civilians. I also need your help producing some form of transmitter or tracking device. One that cannot be detected by magic or technology. If we could get it on one of them, we could track them back to their hideout and maybe find the one who is responsible for this."

Selene turned to face Selene Frostfire and looked her in the eyes, "It is a long shot, but if we can avoid killing them, I want to try. Can you help me?"

"Cor Blimey..." Selene gasped at her identically-named counterpart's request. Sure, mass teleport spells and portal rifts for instant transmission do exist and have been used by eminent organizations within the arcane sphere such as Arcadia and the Tower of Fang... But problem is these tend to take extensive time and resources to set up. "I'm afraid you think a little too highly of my abilities..."

And as for technological means of teleportation, the corporate heiress wasn't even sure if matter transponder technology even exists on earth beyond mathematical equations and scientific theories scribbled in the notebooks and chalkboards of scientists. Has anyone even built a functioning prototype yet? Not as far as Selene could tell. "And as far as technological means go, I don't even know if any examples exist on this planet," the corporate heiress remarked as she shook her head.

"And even if say a technological powerhouse such as Frostfire Industries or BOARD has the knowledge and resources to build a matter transponder device, the same limitations exist as magical means. It's highly unlikely they can be procured on a short notice," the corporate heiress shook her head at her own impotence in the situation, even though it was hardly her - or anyone's for that matter - fault.

"Still, your next best bet would be to track them down during their next attack, aye," Selene nodded as the other Selene requested for some form of scrying artifact, or a tracer bug. A means of stealthily tracking the enemies' movements back to their base of operations. "With any luck we might be able to locate their base of operations without alerting them, and I think I might just have a trinket that could get the job done."

"Give me a moment to go through my belongings," the corporate heiress remarked as she headed towards her bedroom.

Selene nodded and winced, letting out a hiss as her bruises began to ache. "I do not know what is wrong with me... First at the meeting, then at BOARD..." she muttered. "Why does everything still hurt?"

Being in pain for this long was a new experience for Selene. Being a demon, she tended to heal quickly. The sudden...normalcy of her healing process was disturbing... And painful.

"If you also have some ice, I could use that too..." she said, doing her best not to agitate her bruises.

"Hey... I couldn't help but notice your bruises, so..." It was around this time that the girl with pink hair returned from the kitchen, entering the living room with not one, but two ice packs, with one pressed against her own forehead, and the other held in her free hand, offering it to the other Selene with a smile. "I see you share the same name as Selene-san, that's interesting," the girl remarked, having seemingly forgotten about her hurting forehead at this point.

"Alright, I'm back," the corporate heiress remarked as she returned to the living room, having put on some clothes and holding an antique coin made of silver in her right hand. "It's just a little magical trinket my brother got for me as a birthday gift, but it just might do the trick," Selene remarked as she placed the old coin on the coffee table for the candy mage to examine.

"Turns out that there was a minor enchantment on this thing... see, it's basically able to 'recognize' its owner; which means it's impossible to ever lose this thing because so long as you own it, you can always sense where it is," the pumpkin-haired girl remarked as she picked up the coin from the table, flicking it into the air to send it spinning, before catching it in her hand.

"The antique dealer who sold it to my brother never told us the story behind this trinket, but we suspect it probably belonged in the personal stash of a merchant in bygone times, who feared thieves a tad too much..." the corporate heiress smiled as she speculated on the possible origins of the enchanted coin.

"Eh, I guess that means there must be more of these things lying around somewhere, now all over the world in the hands of different collectors?" Selene's pink-haired friend mused as she examined the antique coin, realizing that just one coin in a merchant's stash wouldn't have made much of a difference, so chances are that probably he'd had an entire sack or even chest of coins that were similarly enchanted, so that should his fortune ever be stolen he could locate them.

"Who knows, Yuki-chan? But you're probably right, though as far as I'm concerned, this is the only one currently known to exist," the corporate heiress mused, nodding and giving Yuki a smile. "Kind of a useless enchantment, but who'd have thought it could actually have its uses? And oh, are you alright, Ms. Candymaker? Need any help with your injuries?" the corporate heiress asked, looking over the candy mage with a measure of concern in her tone of voice and expression.

"I...I will...take the ice..." she said, reaching out with a trembling hand to take the ice pack, but before she could pick it up, her hand suddenly split apart between her ring and middle finger. In the newly formed gap was a toothy maw leading to utter darkness.

Selene snatched her hand back, shaking it frantically. "What the hell?! I-I do not know what is happening! I cannot..." she doubled over, clutching her arms as more mouths formed along their length.

Her head bent forward unnaturally, her hair falling forward to reveal yet another mouth on the back of her neck that was acting like a hinge.

Yuki let out a gasp as she practically fell back, scrambling desperately on her hands away from the other Selene as the girl suddenly underwent a horrifying transformation before their eyes; as her hand that was trying to accept the ice pack from the pink-haired girl suddenly split apart between the ring and middle fingers to form what appeared to be a tooth-filled maw, but leading into what appears to be a black void where there should've been a throat, and more similar mouths would appear down the length of the girl's arm.

"Yuki-chan, run!" And out of nowhere a winged lion appeared as the unexpected turn of events shook the miko's ancestral guardian out of her cat nap, prompting her to shift into her battle form in order to protect her charge, becoming visible in the process.

"Ms. Candymaker?" Selene called out to the girl as her body continued to transform itself into an even more grotesque state, her head hanging forward in an unnatural position, as another mouth appeared on the back of her neck. "Yuki-chan, get out of here, summon as much help you can get; I'll handle this," the corporate heiress remarked calmly as she helped her roommate to her feet, before gesturing towards the door, joining Nora in putting themselves between Yuki and the other Selene, in case the now monstrously-transformed girl tried to attack her friend.

"A-Alright, be careful, you two!" the pink-haired girl remarked in a worried voice, before making a break for the exit, her footsteps vanishing down the hallway as she shouted for help, trying to get the attention of the dorm residents, and hopefully even the faculty staff.

Glancing over her shoulder, the summon magus noticed her ritual dagger lying on the study table next to her laptop, and for a moment considered making a lunge for it to summon her Valkyrie, but then decided on an alternative course of action. "Hold a minute, Nora... I'll try to talk to her," the corporate heiress gestured for the leonine spirit to stand down.

"I hope you know what you're doing; Yuki-chan will be very upset if you come to harm," the guardian replied as she took a step back, but continued to eye the transformed Selene Candymaker warily as the corporate heiress attempted to talk.

"Ms. Candymaker, are you alright?" Selene asked, trying to maintain her composure and a reassuring, gentle tone of voice as she approached the candy mage, who appeared to have no idea of the change that was coming over her. Still, first things first the summoner had to do was to try to find out if the other Selene was in any physical pain, and whether she was still in control of her mental faculties at this point.

"S-Stay back... " she mumbled, "I-I can... control this... I just need- N-No! Can't eat! Can't eat in this form!" she exclaimed. Her eyes met Selene Frostfire's and The other girl could see that the whites of her eyes were darkening.

"D-Do you have anything with a h-holy or divine enchantment?" she asked, "I don't know... How much longer I can hold it in... Find something! Hurry!" she exclaimed in a harsh voice that fair dripped with hunger.

And talk about a case of "nice job breaking it, hero" as soon as the other Selene, who seemed to be losing control over her demonic transformation asked the corporate heiress whether she had any holy or divine touched items on her person... or someone who could use holy/divine magic... who just ran out of the dorm in search for assistance. Great. "Just great," the corporate heiress muttered, realizing that she'd effectively just shot herself in the foot in getting Yuki to run for it.

The seconds ticked by, the corporate noticed one of the miko's ofudas lying on the floor, perhaps she could use that to suppress the other girl's demonic transformation? But Selene had no idea how these things worked - whether their power lay in the object itself, or from the faith of the one using it, and the corporate heiress was certainly no shintoist. An unfamiliar weapon is no better than being unarmed, so the pumpkin-haired girl figured she had one last bet - short of fighting the other Selene that is. Sensing the impending threat, Nora would give off a growl as she crouched down on her haunches, ready to pounce on the other Selene.

With a yell, the corporate heiress made a lunge for where her ritual dagger lay, not even bothering to pick it up, but simply clenching her hand around the blade so that it bit into her flesh, drawing streams of blood. "Come hither..." a cyan glow lit up in the pupils of the corporate heiress' eyes as hologram-like runes materialized in the air around her. "...DRYAD!" Selene screamed, as a glowing light green summoning circle materialized in the middle of the room, a column of brilliant white light emitting from the aperture-like symbol in the center, as a graceful and lithe female figure materialized...

Summoned Dryad!

"Dryad, healing spell!" the corporate heiress commanded, pointing at the transforming Selene, who also sounded like she could lose her mind at any moment. With her hands clasped together in a prayer position, the Dryad worked her healing spell, a golden spell circle materializing beneath the sylvan's feet before extending her hands towards the other Selene, bathing the transforming candy mage in a beam of brilliant gold-white light. In theory, healing spells such as these tend to be considered of a divine nature, so they should be able to do something to counter a demonic influence... or at least that was what the corporate heiress hoped.

Selene's eyes widened and from her many mouths came a cacophony of screams. Her body spasmed and her joints let out a loud popping sound as she writhed and twisted on the floor. Her bruises turned black and smoke began to pour from her mouths, nostrils, and ears until at last she was still, her extra mouths gone.

Selene lay on the ground for a good ten minutes before finally moving to sit up. Her eyes were back to normal, but the bruises on her body remained black as midnight. "Ow... Alright, I was not expecting that, but beggars can't be choosers I suppose." she said, rubbing her head. "Thank you Selene. That was... very close."

It was truly a most infernal noise that assaulted Selene's ears, forcing the corporate heiress to clap her hands over her ears as the other Selene screamed from her multiple mouths, going into spasms as the bruises on her body turned from the normal blue-purple to a charcoal black, with smoke rising from her ears, nostrils and mouths. But at least it appears that the girl was back to normal, her additional mouths vanishing and her body returning to normal human anatomy, where she would continue to lie still for a good ten minutes.

"Alright, if you don't mind could you please tell me what just happened?" the corporate heiress asked as the other Selene sat up to thank her, as the pumpkin-haired girl returned from the kitchen, a glass of plain water in hand to offer to the other girl. "I couldn't help but notice a certain demonic quality to your transformation; now there, I mean you no harm, but I would like to know more about your condition, and I wish to help you if possible."

"Selene-san! Nora! I managed to get help!" And it was at this moment when the door to the dorm flew open, Yuki having apparently returned with reinforcements as the pink-haired miko almost literally flew into the living room with Lavender and Jen next to her, while several more students were crowded around outside at the hallway. "So... I guess not?" she wondered as she noticed how the other Selene was now back to normal.

"Thanks for coming to my aid, but we already got things back under control," the corporate heiress nodded, gesturing for the cavalry to leave.

"Come on, nothing more to see here, give the girl some breathing space to recover," Lavender added, leaving the dorm along with Jen and helping to disperse the crowd.

"I would not call it a condition..." said Selene as the rest left. "You could say it is my...nature. My nature as a..." she looked around for a moment and whispered, "A half demon..."

There it was out in the open now. She had been trying to hide her demonic nature for the most part, but considering what had happened, Selene figured she owed her hostesses an explanation.

"And I am afraid that episode was a result of a combination of hunger pangs and overuse of my demonic powers." she explained, looking at the blackened bruises on her body. "And I see my stigma decided to manifest... Now I look like tattoo artist's doodle board."
