After Selene told him this he took her hand off his shoulder took a deep breath and gave a long sigh while slowly spinning around. He the can to a halt facing Gailus."Ok fine I'll hear him out jut don't be a ass about it at the same time and I'll only take one person as our leader in battle and that is her,"says as he points towards Selene.

He then turns towards jack, sora and Ken." Ok so guy don't say anything about my team name, but when he says one your on board instantly well that's real nice,"says a little pissy.

Matt was beginning to look visibly annoyed now. More heroic speeches, more petty-mindedness, and not a lick of sense between most of the people within the room. It was astounding how little these people were getting done. Matt would hold a finger up to Seth for a moment. "My apologies, laddie," he would say quietly to Seth, his tone decidedly less than cheerful. "I'm going to have to disrupt our conversation more than the others already have."

The homunculus would turn to the others at that point, crossing his arms behind his back. His annoyed look had transitioned into a smirk at that point. However, his one eye was practically smouldering, and there was a certain... tenseness to him. "How truly inspiring ye all are. Such wonderful words... From people who didn't even attempt to pre-empt attacks. So, Shin! Ye want to know what you did wrong, do ye?! Well then, allow me to educate ye! Tell me, what did ye do to save people from that other girl's attacks? What did ye do to stop her from letting loose that massive rain of energy? I know what I did to stop the lass in black armor, and I saved most of ye because of it! But you? You did nothing to stop the others attacks. Ye say that you want to beat a woman simply because she killed people. But consider this, laddie. If ye hadn't devoted so much of yer own time to trying to simply attack her, ye could have gotten people out of there, now couldn't ye? Yer own desires ensured deaths would occur, just as surely as hers did."

Matt's anger was beginning to show on his face as he continued to talk, and he was almost visibly bristling as he neared the end of the first part of his speech. He would look over the others, his disdain obvious on his face. "As for the rest of ye! Ye say planning is useless? Well then, just what do ye intend to do then, hmmm? Wait for them to simply attack again, and see what ye can do that time? Hide from their almighty prowess? Stand there and let them reduce ye into nothingness? Well, laddie?! What do you intend to do without a plan, hmmm?!"

He would look at Ken next, scowling. "And as for ye! Yer not a hero, laddie. No, yer a petulant brat who's crying because he had his pride wounded, because he didn't do anything worthy of praise. Funny how that as soon as some people move to comfort ye, yer instantly better. Also, amazing that the boy crying just a few seconds ago is so willing to write off the plans of others. Tell me, laddie. Is it because the idea didn't come from you? Hrm? Does it not give ye enough importance? And, furthermore, how exactly do ye intend to find them for these hit and run tactics? And furthermore, what about the people that could die, hmmm? The buildings destroyed, the businesses sacked, the lives ruined? Are ye willing to have blood on yer hands simply because ye want a little bit o' glory, a chance to prove yerself better than them?"

He would pause for a moment after that, and snorted. "Now then, since I have all of yer attention now... Shut up, and listen to the boy with black hair. He has more sense than most of the rest of ye combined, that much I can already tell. If ye have grievances with me, sit on them, and stow them for later. The next person I hear try to second-guess him, or to address me while he's talking... Well, let's leave what I'll do to the imagination, shall we? And remember that I took the girl in black armor head-on in hand-to-hand combat, and emerged virtually unharmed when ye imagine what I can do. Am I perfectly clear?"

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
...Seriously?

You just gave her brother the bird and now you're thanking her and being all friendly?

Putting aside the fact that Sena was absolutely nowhere near anyone back at the mall for her to have been visually identified (which, considering someone apparently did is actually very creepy to her), the girl just clicked her tongue and swatted Sora's hand away angrily before going to hide behind Seth some more.

...He can't blame her, Seth thought to himself as he rubbed his forehead. After hearing their words and seeing their attitude... He wouldn't be surprised if it would take so much more than just bringing her to this meeting (despite how much she really doesn't want to) to make her change her mind. Especially when one of them, while sure he's taking his side, just pretty much lashed out at everyone.

Exasperating.

"...That's honestly going to depend on whether you're all still willing to listen or not," The young man gave a late reply to Ken as he took steps into the room, whether not they want him to leave. If they don't want to listen then they can leave instead. Much to Sena's chagrin because she really doesn't want to be here any longer than she has to... even though she ended up clinging to him anyway.

He's gotten this far anyway, so why stop now?

Right... let's see, how to start...

...Okay. "I'm not sure if any of you realized it, but this school has had a very colorful history. I myself don't know why, probably this place is cursed or just very unlucky, but this school, and by extension this city, are no stranger to being attacked by... ...Well, it's no stranger to being attacked," He decided to leave it as is, before continuing.

Throat cleared. "During that time, those who would always 'jump to the rescue' and 'save the day' were, mostly, students from this school. There had been interdimensional eldritch monsters, almighty machine king from the future, massive living, flying island, indestructible destroyer of the world, vampires, zombies, mad scientists... well, so on and so forth," He just shrugged because he really can't be bothered to list down everything at once.

Now, onto the actual main point. "Those people that fought you... are also the very same people that had risked their lives and thrown away everything to protect this city, their loved ones and sometimes even the world,"

He raised a hand, putting up a finger. "The most powerful mage in the world, and the most popular teacher of Hyakuji High, Hiro Tsukasa," And another. "The master of light and darkness and probably one of the kindest person I've ever met, Damon Ark," And finally the other two, "Aisia Asakura and Kenzaki Kazuna. I admittedly don't know them very well, but both of them have been around here longer than nearly everyone else, and both are powerful users of the Kamen Rider system, and they get a lot of respect from a lot of people," That should also hopefully answer Matt's question from way earlier.

"Now tell me. If my words are to be trusted and they are exactly the kind of people I just described them as, why on earth would they all of a sudden turn their back to us and destroy the very thing they had been trying so hard to protect until now?"

...No, he doesn't trust them to give him the answer he wanted to hear, so he only gave them a short pause to let the question sink in before continuing. "Your little discussion and mindset only proved their concerns right," It was hard to hold himself from going back to being snarky, but he managed it and settled with being curt, stern and harsh. "Is returning the fight back to them and coming back victorious the only thing you guys have in mind? If you're going to say you're going to be more responsible and work together for the sake of protecting the innocent, then WHY DO YOU NEED TO BE BEATEN TO CRAP FIRST TO REALIZE IT ALL TOO LATE?!"

Ah... no no, calm down, he's doing it again... A glance back over his shoulder disheartened him slightly, seeing his own sister actually recoil in fright from his little outburst.

You know, it's exactly because of her that he... No... Calm down... Youma had been bad enough, it's not good to vent it out here...

"...Three years ago,"
He continued after taking the moment to recompose himself. "There was a student council president from the neighboring city's high school, who was so spurred by her school pride, she went mad trying to prove her own school to be better than us," The young man said, his voice hushed and low, as though he would rather not talk about the incident of the past. "...Just a year ago, the Machine King from the future hellbent on changing history... His primary directive as it was, and had always been only to protect humanity from their greatest threat... humanity themselves,"

The young man took another deep breath. "Just a few months ago. The indestructible, destroyer of the world, chose to kill himself... so he wouldn't have to fulfill his sole purpose of existence... for us,"

"...Even now I'm still asking. Had fighting them been the right thing to do? Do any of them really... truly deserved to die?"

What is this thing?
Jack spoke up first after Seth's lecture. "So then what do you suggest we do?" He asked. "Perhaps they are right. Maybe we are unable to protect this city." His voice then became laced with sarcasm. "Hell why don't we help them out. Since you seem to believe that they are in the right. And We're just going to destroy the city." He then kicked an empty desk and sent it screaming past Seth's ear. The desk burying itself deep in the plaster wall from the force of Jack's blow.

He look then turned thoughtful. "Or maybe we should go in the opposite direction? Just lie down and let them destroy the city." He shrugged. "Why stop with letting them destroy the city. Maybe next time I see some kind of demon or monster attacking innocents I'll just walk away. Since I mightn't be capable of protecting them." He tilted his head to the side. "Next time some nutjob tries to destroy/conquer the world, I wont raise a finger against him. After all according to you. We might all deserve to be destroyed or have our way of life wiped out."

He locked eyes with Seth. His own eyes turned a brilliant gold. "Well then Glorious fucking Leader." He growled out as he decided to borrow Shin's phrase. "What's your suggestion. Cause I'm all ears."

He pointed at Matthew. "I also emerged pretty much unscathed after fighting Hiro and Damon. So you're not really that scary or impressive. You just remind me of a pirate more than anything else and I'm finding it hard not to laugh at your ridiculous accent. It actually makes me wonder. If everyone in the room decided to interrupt, would you attack us all?" He gave him predatory grin. A look in his eyes not unlike a cat sizing up a rather tasty looking mouse. "And would you even succeed in beating even one of us?"

He then pointed to himself. "One final thing. I'm not human anymore so spare me this whole "Humanity is inherently destructive" rant I feel you're working you're way towards. Unless I had some sort of defect when I was still human and it turns out that other humans have to regularly remind themselves that it's wrong to eat people like I currently have to. Humanity is probably one of the most peaceful sentient races on this planet. We need to stop with this fucking pissing contest and get down to business."

Jason nodded sounded like all his inner circle was willing so he wasn't going anywhere. Both Ken and Rakutsu's suggestion of a team and name and everything sounded not only really cool but made him feel kind of warm and fuzzy inside too, he had never really had some kind of comrades like that Zero was all about not trusting anyone and operating by yourself screwing over everyone around you on your way to the top, so it was nice to be acting with some other people for a change. He nodded to Ken said he had some ideas for contraptions.

"Yeah I think my little inner circle may need to meet up later, blow off some steam and discuss things, from the sounds of it those aren't acceptable here, I got a place though."

He replied to Ken rather discreetly, just in case someone decided to flip there shit about that. He then smiled in Seth's direction.

"Sorry I'm generally rather sarcastic, especially when people give me such an opening. Our friend here is right though guerrilla tactics would work far better against the targets we're taking on than splitting the party and dying like champs, brute force obviously wasn't working subtlety might be the key. But go on, I'm a man of my word...mostly, so say your piece."

Well he was a man of his word until someone decided to interrupt them all agreeing to listen with a monologue about how they should listen, at which point he decided to compromise, plugging a pair of headphones into his PDA and putting them around his ears.

"Jeez these guys are boring, someone tell me the cliff notes later."

He said sleepily, turning up his music to the point where it could be heard at a very quiet rate by those sitting close to him too and laying back in his chair with his eyes closed.

"I think that's more than enough of that." said Selene calmly, "Seth has brought up a very good point. These people were stalwart defenders of Hyakuji before now. This sudden and abrupt change of beliefs and allegiances is not something I can accept as a simple change of heart. Destroyers and killers they have become, but it is not their choice. They should not be killed because of the actions another had forced them to take."

She tapped her forehead and smiled, "I believe I may have a solution to our dilemma if you would all care to listen." she sat on the teacher's desk and demurely crossed her legs as she spoke.

"We know someone or something is controlling them, but wee don't know what or who. However, we can assume that whatever is controlling them is located somewhere near where they are hiding out. I propose that when next they appear, we plant trackers on them. This will allow us to trail them back to their hideout. Once we know where they are, we split into two teams; one for defense and one for assault. Then we wait for them to leave for another round of destruction."

She turned and began to draw on the chalkboard, illustrating her plan by drawing a circle representing Hyakuji and a smaller one representing the enemy base. Then she drew a sword and a shield.

"When they leave..." she drew a japanese katana on the board and then an arrow pointing toward Hyakuji's circle. "The defense team will engage them and attempt to stall them..." she drew an arrow leading from the shield to the arrow pointing toward Hyakuji, intercepting it.

"While the assault team attacks their base of operations..." she drew an arrow from the sword to the enemy base. "Finds the person or thing causing the change in behavior and action..." she drew a stick figure wearing a cape with devil horns and a pitchfork. "And make him or it stop." she crossed him out and turned around "Any questions?"

"At this rate your senpais really are going to win."
A new voice echoed in the classroom from under... a desk?

It slowly rose up to reveal a young woman with eight note ribbons in her hair who was hiding there for the past few minutes since this whole meeting started, and who would probably startle Seth.
"It takes more than just the will to 'win' against those who have destroyed the city. That's probably what they want you to learn from this somehow, if that IS what they really want to do," Otoha said. "Let me repeat what Seth asked with a little less emotion and more pragmatism. If they are exactly the kind of people Seth just described them as, why on earth would they all of a sudden turn their back to us and destroy the very thing they had been trying so hard to protect until now? Has it ever occurred to you that something is horribly wrong to have caused not one, but four former protectors of the city to turn their backs on it all of a sudden, and all at the same time?"

Otoha paced the classroom quietly. "I only heard about what happened, and if I could have come to help I could. But I can't be there always either. Neither can every other veteran who's been here longer. You guys were even lucky to have Seth-kun help. You people need to shape the fuck up and think on your own. What would your senpais have done? Would they have just blindly rushed in to 'save the day' without considering why they were being attacked in the first place beyond what it seems on the surface?"

She sat down on the podium in front of the class and chuckled. "Come on class, it's time for a closed book test in critical thinking. Selene's sort of got it down, and though we can't completely assume that someone is controlling them, It's highly likely. She's already ahead of you guys in the game, and it's not even a game about who's got or is the biggest dick anymore. I'm gonna see if there's anything I can do to help too. After all, I like this city too. But this is the fight of the kouhais, and I think that this is something only you guys can do."

(Ugggh need to get out of this, sorry about posting so soon.)

Jason opened an eye in time to see time apparently looping around him more people showing up out of nowhere to rant at them that was always a lot of fun to see. Jason rose to his feet grabbing the box he came in with with him and turning down his music so he could speak.

"Y'know what I was gonna try and give all y'all the benefit of the doubt and hear you out but apparently we're stuck in a time warp of boredom and the same shit over and and over so I'm going to flee it now. I can get enough ranting on the internet thanks."

He said waving and flipping off the newest arrival before looking around the room.

"Anyone with one of my communicators I'll get a hold of you...byeeeee !"

He said as he leaped through the window and began running off leaving a trail of blood behind him.

Sora waved Jason goodbye as the eccentric boy dived out the window. After all, doors were boring.

He turned back to the newest arrival. "To be honest. We all need to stop with this whole "You're an idiot" accusation thing we have here. And start putting our heads together." He sat back down on a desk. "I'm no investigator so I don't know how much help I can be here." He frowned and cupped a hand to his chin. "But for some reason Hiro stopped himself from decapitating a guy, after Damon reminded him of some plan they had. Why was that? If they were going ahead with the destroying the city. Why not take out one of its defenders when they had such a perfect opportunity"

He shrugged. "I don't know why. But its almost like they are trying to teach us some kind of twisted lesson." His eyes furrowed together in a frown. "Do they expect us to surpass them? Or at least prove that we have the potential to do so?" He let out an annoyed huff. "No. That doesn't answer for all the collateral damage."

He looked back to the group. "What about you guys? Any theories?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for Shin. Well, he continued to brood in silence because he was extremely butthurt. The prideful fool is probably going to do something very stupid in the future.

Ralius' expression soured quickly at the various snipes and bits of in-fighting among the group. He was a new enough student that he barely knew anyone in here past the level of an occasional acquaintance at best, but he didn't really care who they were or what their backgrounds were... Fighting amongst one another would get them nowhere.

"For heavens' sake," he said in a sharp, irritated tone of voice, "What the hell good will it do to stare daggers through each other and take cheap shots? Seth, whoever else, I don't really care... If someone's got an idea, let's just hear them out at least.

He continued to lean back with his butt the desk, arms crossed and legs extended... Casual, but his facial expression was anything but. He just wanted to formulate a plan and get on with it.

Meiakki turned back to her human form and she was sitting on a desk with a lolipop in her mouth and the headphones that Jason gave her around her neck.

"Guys another thing that Seth asked about rather those guys deserved to die . . . well the answer is no one deserves to die no one deserves to get their lives taken from them. if Hiro and Damon wanted to kill us they could have easily made that mall our graves, but they didn't they let us go. i don't think they want to destroy the city rather they want to test it.

the destruction they caused was a result of us, they were testing us to see if we could defend a location, to see if we could save the people and protect them and the places we love. we failed not because of one person but we failed because everyone of us didn't do what we were suppose to do.

so instead of pointing fingers and fighting upon ourselves we should listen to Seth and Selene and the new girl we need to be prepared next time not to fight but to protect we need the protect the city and it's people not blindly attack our enemies."
she said as she looked down she was done talking.

ZEHAHAHA!!
Kell looked very sour. She wasn't the type for long speeches, and the point had already been made by several people. No need to yell some more. That said, she had just one thing to say.

"The fuck is wrong with you idiots?" She snarled, fists balling as she gave a few of them a death glare. For once, she was agreeing with Seth on more than a superficial level, though she was more openly hostile towards the people he was talking to.

She was angry for a lot of reasons. For some, it's because somebody said some really stupid edgy shit. But what really got her was how short-sighted they were, too. It wasn't just because they had terrible plans, but because they made her realize one very important thing about herself. She was just as bad at making plans as them.

Fuck.

She had spending so much time working as a solo unit or a duo that actual team tactics were out of her depth. And as somebody who had to adapt or die on the battlefield, learning she was not so good at adapting was a tremendous blow to her. 'Kill the shit out of it' was not a workable long term strategy, no matter how much her family drilled it into her head.

But damn it, it was the only thing she really knew how to do.

"Fuck. I can't come up with anything." She finally loosened up, putting one hand to her head in frustrated resignation. "If Selene is right, then they're either being constantly controlled by some hardcore methods or somebody's put down some set and forget brainwashing protocols."

Think. Think! How to deal with coercive methods....

"If they could bust out on will alone, they would've already got it done. These are vets of many battles, who've saved the world a few times over. Something that could be broken out of with a little motivation wouldn't bind them so tight."

The unstated assumption was obvious in her words. Much to Kell's despair, violence was the only solution she could easily think of. A lifetime of gorging on blood and battle had left her unable to bend far beyond her predictable, puerile state.

And yet....

"Even so, can't we try?" She forced out, lost and uncertain of what to say. "They want us to fight them to prove we can stop them. But can we really win by playing their game? Hyakuji's not just a place to break stuff, right? I- if we treat this like it's just another show of force, we'll only make them more resistant to deprogramming. Seth... Well, I can't agree with everything he's saying. But the guy's got a point. If we can't outmuscle them without proving them right, maybe we can talk them out of it. Will might not be enough, but maybe we can add our words to their resistance. Even if they're going crazy, they've gone crazy in ways where they're still trying to do something good in their messed up perspective. They're not too far gone to reach, maybe."

It was just a tiny step out of her comfort zone. Parroting Seth's point might not have helped too much, but it was something other than bloodshed, for once.

The table that Jack sent flying to the side of Seth never managed to reach the wall, the floor elevated itself to provide a barrier which the table crashed into. Sighing Gaius lowered the barrier before picking up the desk and setting it back down carefully. "First things first, I think we really have to stop being at each other's throats, leave whatever problems you have until after the situation has been resolved." It seemed like they weren't all playing nice which was understandable when they were all being snarky at each other.

"The only problem is that talking them out of it may not exactly work. I'm not saying we don't try to do it on the contrary it could be the correct way to go about it." He thought for a moment. "If it doesn't work then we still need a way to stop them somehow."

"I'm not meaning go all out and attempt to kill them, just stop them somehow, prevent them from destroying more of Hyakuji." Gaius smirked, he began to try and work out how they could do that. It seemed like Seth and Otoha were the ones with the most experience. "If you have a bit more specific information on any of the known attackers capabilities that would be appreciated." Gaius followed up the statement. "If you don't want to share though thats understandable." He wasn't about to force anyone to divulge information that they didn't want to.

"Either way, from what we know they seem to be targeting the city itself rather then the inhabitants for the most part." He tried to picture the general map of Hyakuji in his mind, the question that came to him next was where would they target next. There were many possibilities so he thought he'd open it up for the floor. "Before we can put any plan into practice we have to try and find out where they are going to attack next. Any ideas?"

"It mightn't even be direct mind control." Jack suggested after Kell's observation. He nodded to Seth. "Seth does have a point. We have a tendency to be stupid and that probably annoys and disappoints some of the more experienced people here."

His eyebrows furrowed, now deep in thought. "What if someone took all those minor negative annoyances and disappointment and cranked it up to eleven." He shrugged. "If that's the case then all our puppet master would have to do is sit back and let whoever they mind-wammied do their work. He snapped his fingers, trying to think. "They aren't being directly controlled. Their thought processes are just given a very strong push in the wrong direction."

He then turned to Gaius. "The next target is probably going to be some major populated area. Like the park, downtown or even the school itself. It seems that they want to be noticed. They want to crush any opposition." He tilted his head to the side. "You do have a point though. We dont really need to kill them In fact, if we manage to capture one of them. We can get a fair amount of information."

He shrugged and then began leaning back against the wall. "That's my two cents. Anyone else got any better ideas?"
