"S-sensei w-what are you" before Meiakki could finish that sentence before she ended up . . . inside of the book?

she looked around bewildered by this she felt wind on her body and looked down.

"Oh my" it seems in this world of fiction she would don revealing light armor with Seiryuko in her hands.

her body filling up the armor that hugged her curves nicely. she looked at Hiro and the others and shrugs.

"I guess we fight in this war and beat the enemy" she holds up Seiryuko acting like she was was a warlord.

"Let defeat this lu bu guy!" she exclaimed eager to take on this new challenge like a true soldier.

Emmet stood stiff, eyes wide. He'd been at first confused when his teacher spoke out the strange words, then a bit curious, then worried, then really scared as he and his classmates seemed to be sucked into the book. Now, he couldn't help but be frightened at what was transpiring. He tried to scream out, loud as he could, but all he could really muster was a faint rasp.

He looked around. Most classmates didn't seem that fazed by this, though one appeared to be having some kind of allergic reaction to something. Was he the one acting weird? He shook his head. Either way, being calm and rational about a situation was better than being afraid. He took several deep breaths. He was feeling a bit better now, enough to relax his posture, but he still felt like throwing up, just a little. He once again analyzed the situation, and himself.

Apparently, his clothing had been changed when he had entered the book. Instead of his normal school uniform, he now wore some kind of armor, looked like a bunch of leather plates patched together. In his right hand, he now held a Halberd of some kind. This observation panicked him slightly, he took several deep breaths. He fumbled with the weapon for a time, trying to get it into a relativity safe position, eventually settling for simply propping it on the ground, pointy-end face up. Unbeknownst to Emmet, with all of his new equipment, he know appeared extremely similar to a standard foot soldier of the time, sans the helmet, and the hair, and the pigmentation, and the left arm...

He was startled out of his little lethal weapon playtime by the arrival of a strange man, and the subsequent questioning of him, his teacher, and his classmates. He glanced around at his classmates once more, noting several worrying responses, as well as a giant toad. He himself had hoped to speak against the action of attacking a dangerous historical figure. All that came out was a cough and a wheeze. Several deep breaths were taken. Without options, Emmet was forced to simply cast worried and confused looks as events played out.

Ho~ So their teacher was going to make the boring book into a movie. That sounded good. He almost never slept through a movie after all.

Strangely it didn't seem to be the case though as he looked at his classmates and then himself. "I thought it was a movie. I don't want to be in a play." Despite his arbitrary words he mostly seemed to be dealing with the fact that while everyone else had some cool weapon and kind of knew what was going on he had metal gloves and no clue what was up here.

"Isn't it supposed to be some sappy romance thing?" This seemed almost like a fight, but that couldn't be right. Could it be that he had overlooked books when they were actually something exciting?

NICE DRIVE!
"I'm afraid we might be," Hiro responded to the question about danger and the general growing concern over what the hell just happened, "If it were astral travel or some sort of illusion then I could sense that. The spell must have gone wrong somehow. For good or ill, it seems we've been placed into the world of this story. And even if that's just a theory, then by all means we can't go running after L-" Several students seem quite excited by the prospect. But if nothing else he had the safety and survival of the students to put first. However, his attempt to dash the hopes of battle were cut off by their superior office.

"Buahaha," Wang Kuang laughed heartily, "Tsukasa, it would seem your personal unit is itching for battle. Very well, I will allow you to act as our vanguard and show us what you're made of." Letting out a sigh, Hiro nodded accepting the fact that due to the era and their current situation something like insubordination wasn't an option. One student fled at least. Surprisingly, the Coalition Forces didn't seem that startled by a giant mythical beast. Well, while historical, the tale was largely romanticized. And speaking of that...

"Spike," Hiro began as he turned to his 'troops' and began to motion them all in closer to confer on things, "Out of anyone in this class... someone like you should most enjoy and respect the kind of story this is. The Romance in the title does not refer to what you're immediately thinking of... a love story... the word implies something more like a grand sweeping tale... like an Epic. And well..." Was there even a point to say it all? They were moments away from one of the famous scenes in the story. Everyone would learn firsthand; like it or not.

"Nevermind, you'll see," Hiro sighed and then clapped his hands together to draw everyone's attention, "Alright, we've been put into a bit of a bind. I'll mull over some ways to get out, but right now we really only have one clear choice... and that's bringing the story to an end. The spell realized this scene for us, maybe... just maybe if we resolve that scene, then we'll be freed." It seemed a weak theory at best. But it was all Hiro had at the moment.

"Just," Hiro began with a sense of caution, "Stick close to one another and be very careful. This is a fight we can't win... we're just going to have to pull through it." Breaking the circle and tapping the iron fan into his open hand, Hiro began to move forward advancing towards the gate of Hu Lao Pass. Trained to perfection, a small detachment of nameless soldiers began following in his wake.

The Battle of Hu Lao Pass was about to begin...

====

Lu Bu was a conspicuous figure in front of the line. On his head was a triple curved headdress of ruddy gold with pheasant tails. He wore a warring velvet-red robe of Xichuan silk embroidered with thousand flowers, which was overlapped by golden mail adorned with a gaping animal's head, joined by rings at the sides and girt to his waist with a belt fastened by a beautiful lion-head clasp. His bow and arrows were slung on his shoulders, and he carried a long heavy trident halberd. He was seated on his snorting steed Red Hare. Indeed, among humans Lu Bu, among horses Red Hare.

====

"Allow us to lead the charge!" a nameless soldier cried out as he and several others suddenly rushed ahead of Hiro and the other students. With a loud roaring groan, the gates to Hu Lao Pass began to swing open. Within the gate waited not an army of soldiers to clash back, but just a single man astride an impressive horse:

"Ahhh...it's...it's," the soldier struggled to find the words in the face of this imposing warrior, "IT'S LU BU!!!!" The soldier turned to run and just like that Lu Bu's spear sank through the man's back splintering out of his chest before swinging to the side and discarding the corpse like a rag doll. The small unit that had rushed ahead immediately began to disperse, but with hooves pounding the ground as if thunder was rumbling on each step Lu Bu ran down each fleeing soldier dropping them with but a single strike.

"Muuuahaha!" Lu Bu roared loudly with sheer blood lust, "Our forces wait beyond the gate! I alone am enough to dispatch this pathetic display. PIGS! HAVE YOU COME TO BE SLAUGHTERED!?" This was another level. Just standing there, regardless of any abilities to sense various power levels, everyone present could feel the intense killing intent that radiated from this man.

"Round is the hungry tiger, eater of men, for whom is no pity, Since the blood of his victims is fresh and not yet dry," Hiro recited softly in awe of their opponent, "Liu Bei spoke no word in favor of Lu Bu, To whom even a father's life was not sacred. Later in the book, upon his death, that is mentioned as one poet's take upon Lu Bu. This is crazy, but we've got to try!"

"Dammit," Hiro cursed in frustration, "In any case, even if we're bound by the laws of the story... this one is so fantastical our powers should generally work the same!" Hoping to save the students some burden in the fight, Hiro rushed ahead of the others diving in the air towards Lu Bu while his back was turned mid-process of slaughtering more soldiers. Flames suddenly began to spiral around his iron fan and with a sudden leap, Hiro dove forth attempting to strike the god of battle from behind.

However, with but a single flourish and Red Hare tromping to re-align itself in support, Lu Bu spun around and met the iron fan head on with his halberd. As the two weapons met, they clashed and struggled for dominance with flames lashing out all around the two warriors. "Your little tricks aren't going to stop me!" Lu Bu roared in triumph before shoving forward and breaking the struggle. This, of course, sent Hiro flying back through the air and crashing into the ground digging out a small crater into the dirt.

"Now!" Lu Bu roared as Red Hare stamped the ground, "All of you, fight me at once! Maybe then it will feel like a challenge!!!!!" Once more like the sound of rolling thunder, Red Hare began to blaze a path directly for Hiro's students. Lu Bu flourished his halberd about his body ready to strike the first thing that came upon his path.

Round is the hungry tiger... eater of men...

Shin was not deterred when he heard that they might be in real danger. He wasn't exactly a stranger to it.

It seems as though their teacher approved of them fighting. Since he did believe that they needed to finish the scene to return home. Without another word, Shin set off. Sprinting towards Lu Bu. He was somewhat tempted to forego his powers and fight the man one on one. But since his classmates where also present. Shin had to resist the urge and focus on beating the legendary warrior as quickly as possible.

Sinking into his own shadow, Shin wanted to finish this fight as soon as he could. He emerged from underneath Lu Bu's steed. Rolling to the side to avoid being trampled. Shin sent a tendril of shadow to stab at the beast's neck in a killing blow in an effort to cripple the fighter's mobility and reach.

Spike nodded uncertainly. This seemed like something bad, didn't it? He liked to fight but he didn't intend to risk his life, especially not in this sort of weird magic place. "We just have to win, right?"

Spike saw the enemy they were facing off against casually blow away the attacks coming at him. He gritted his teeth. He wanted to... He really wanted to. Spike dashed forward. Hiro hadn't been wrong when he said Spike was the type to enjoy and respect this kind of story.

"ORRRRYYAAAAAA!!"

Leaping off the ground Spike slammed his gauntlet clad fist at Lu Bu's face. He wasn't exactly ignoring Lu Bu's weapon but he didn't seem worried about it either. That was really all there was to him at the end of the day. Spike was confident that he could win. It was an immediate and undeserved feeling, but Spike was always confident that he could win. That was his greatest strength.

Lilica was pretty much out of commission at this point, her body fighting off the iron exposure she had suffered through. However, Derpicus was not. He would glare at the approaching soldiers, and would gently set his charge down on the ground. While he was doing so, he picked up a handful of stones. It was hardly glorious to fight in such a way as he was about to, but it certainly would be impressive if it went as planned.

The Cataphractoi would let the other students engage Lu Bu, taking careful measure of the legendary warrior's movements as they did so. Let them haphazardly engage one of the greatest warriors to ever live! Unlike them, Derpicus valued both his life and the life of the one he was guarding. There was simply no room to risk himself in a confrontation with such a man. He would simply wait for just the right moment, the moment when his foe was most vulnerable....

Dawn was about to raise her voice in opposition of the students who wanted to go and seek Lu Bu, that was inevitably a death sentence and she wasn't all that keen on fighting the person known as the strongest warrior ever. When their 'commanding officer' however game them the order Dawn sighed, if they didn't play along then it would get a whole lot worse unfortunately.

Watching the man known as Lu Bu make his appearance on the battlefield was truly a terrible sight, he ran down soldiers like they were nothing but bugs before his feet. The strength that he must possess was insane. Dawn really wondered if they could bring down such a beast, they all had their own abilities for the most part but it was Lu Bu that they were fighting against.

Unfortunately for Dawn it seemed like there was no other way out apart from fighting him, watching him easily fend off Hiro Dawn was quite surprised. "Damn." He was heading straight for them, quickly manipulating her magical energy she conjured her wings and took to the air. Letting Lu Bu get within reach of her was sure to have disastrous effects, following her ascent she conjured a pair of chains and sent them to wrap around Lu Bu's halberd in an attempt to wrest away his weapon from him. If she could manage to disarm him then the chance they had increased ever so significantly.

What is this thing?
Jaret blinked as Hiro was thrown aside by Lu Bu. Why did his teacher just dive in like that, meeting the seasoned warrior head on? Wasn't he a mage? Why not attack from a range instead?

Shrugging, Jaret was about to join the battle alongside his classmates. But he looked at the armour he currently had on. Grabbing it, Jaret ripped it off and began crumpling it into a ball. The demon's massive strength allowing him to crush the metal as if it was paper.

Now armed with a small ball of metal that used to be his breastplate. Jaret it threw it with phenomenal force. Aiming for the horse's legs in an attempt to cripple to beast.

Yuki and Yurei looked at each other they were wearing robes similar to Hiro's but Yuki had dark purple robes and Yurei had red robes.

"He sent Hiro flying that was impressive but we need to help our allies" said Kaboto in Yuki's head.

"Let's slaughter him" said Shimei.

Yuki nodded to Yurei and they both knew what to do they ran at Lu Bu on opposite sides of him and Yurei send a chain of lighting at the man's midsection while Yuki blasted a fire ball at the man's house while summoning a fire pillar to block the man direct path to the students. the pillar only stood tall enough that the horse would have problems jumping over it but low enough so it didn't interfere with her allies actions.

"Oh snap he beat Hiro" said Meiakki in disbelief as she watch Hiro get sent flying by this guy on a horse.

"What kind of danger are we in if he can do that?" she gulped and took a deep breath.

"okay here goes nothing" she said running towards Bu Lu and jumping in the air with Yuki and Yurei on the sides of her she shot her own fireball directed at Lu Bu's Horse

"Kasai Skull!" she exclaimed as she fired the blast. when she landed she prepared to strike the man with her spear if he were to get pass the first barrage of attacks she was prepared.
