And so it was that another class was being assembled in the adjoined classroom of the campus' library. For some time this had been the meeting point of classes taught by Hiro Tsukasa. In recent months, that had been the Advanced Demonology course. However, naturally, with a title like that certain problems seemed to be attached to the class. Certain problems that seemed to occur far more often and to a greater degree than even when the Mage was teaching his own pet project: Supernatural Studies. Budgetary concerns had come up. The safety of the school and its students had come up. Pay docks had been mentioned.

And so it was that Hiro Tsukasa found himself once more in his classroom, but now for a very different purpose. For no longer was the Master of Mystic Arts going to hurl his wards into the world of demons and monsters. No, now he had a new purpose among the faculty of Hyakuji High School. And that purpose was to teach the student body about the wonderful world of literature and inspire in them a love of the subject.

It wouldn't be that far removed of a notion for the man to undertake. Eldritch Influence, for all its dusty old bookshop motif, was a popular spot in the city; especially for students. Granted, this may have to do more with the teacher himself, the adjoined maid cafe and potentially (or not) a certain black ops organization that operates out of the hidden portal in the back room. Who can say?

Still, it was a rare event for such a shake up in the structure of the school to occur. Likewise, it was a rare occurrence, such as today that Hiro Tsukasa was on time (early! in fact!) to his own class. Seated atop the teacher's desk, Hiro let out a long yawn as he glanced to the clock awaiting the arrival of his first student.

The first of many.

The first of many to be welcomed to the wonderful world of Literature.

And with Hiro Tsukasa at the helm, what could go wrong?

So, Advanced Demonology had been replaced by literature, Dawn wondered why that had occurred as she made her way to her new subject's classroom. She had to say that she wasn't sure what would come out of a literature class. It was pretty clear that it was about literature obviously but Dawn wasn't sure what that entailed, if it was only books or if it involved other things.

When one looked at the classes that were often held at Hyakuji they would be understandably confused about some of the events that occurred within them. What events that were strange and unusual that could occur in a subject based around reading books was beyond Dawn though. She smiled, it seemed like it could end up being a rather normal class after all.

As she made her way inside the classroom she looked around, the first thing that came as a surprise to her was the fact that the teacher had arrived early. That in itself was a bit of a shock to her system. Dawn quickly made a small bow "Good morning Tsukasa-Sensei, how are you?" She greeted the teacher as politely as she could, waiting for a response before she would make her way to an empty seat to wait for the class to begin. She was looking forward to see what came of the class.

"Good morning," Hiro greeted Dawn cheerfully with a wave, "I'm glad to see some familiar faces decided to follow me along during this change." And what a change it was. However, he had been in the Principal's office for some time this morning already going over things. As it was, with the dangers it presented and had already caused, the Advanced Demonology course was simply too much of a liability and too costly for the campus when its "incidents" had to be cleaned up.

That's why this was the safe option. There was nothing dangerous about exploring the world of literature. It was all fiction or, even if true, simply just words on the page; images in the mind. No accidentally trapping students in sub-dimensions or the Dark Realm; or even unleashing a demonic army across the campus. No, things would be different this time. Art. Supernatural Studies. Advanced Demonology. They had all ended the same way. But this time, yes, it would be different. And who better to impress upon the students the joys of literature than the owner of Eldritch Influence and that, by the grace of Arcadia, had a personal library that dwarfed even the school itself.

"But it's a new era now~" Hiro spoke triumphantly trying to re-assure himself of the situation, "And for a fresh start, I decided to try a new style. So I came early ahead of everyone else so I could greet everybody and not be late."

"I've even come up with the perfect lesson to kick us off," Hiro added with a hint of joy, "It will definitely get us going in the right direction..."

a blue kitten with two tails with a black diamond on it's forehead, black paws, and black strips on it's tail, with big azure eyes came causally walking into the classroom.

she jumped in a chair then onto a desk as she looked at her teacher "Nya good morning Tsukasa-Senpai" she stroked the right side of her head with her paw like a normal kitten her tails wagging in unison.

she looked at Dawn, "Good morning" she said to her as she curled up on the desk and relax till either she was told to turn back or the class started. she kept her eyes on her teacher and the fellow student.

how shes lying;both tails together to look like one

"That sounds good." Dawn responded to Hiro's excitement, it was unusual to see him so pumped up about something. She guessed that he was really excited about the subject, she knew that he ran the bookstore downtown so it would come to no surprise that he was quite into literature.

When the small cat greeted her Dawn's expression was a mix of shock and confusion. She didn't remember seeing the cat prior and generally speaking when something that wasn't supposed to happen. After a few moments the realization that they were currently at Hyakuji overruled the shock and confusion at being greeted by a cat. Nodded her head towards the feline she replied. "Good morning." It was a simple greeting, surely they'd all get to know each other better over the course of the class.

She took a look towards the door with some curiosity, literature was a subject that could easily get written off as 'boring'. Dawn had to wonder how many people would've changed over to literature.

Lilica had known she had wanted this class from the moment she had first laid eyes on it. Subject matter on nothing but stories? How could she have possibly resisted such a marvelous plot hook for herself?! Of course, the fact that it was being taught by a certain Mage character was quite beneficial to her decision as well.

Of course, seeing as it was also one of her first classes at Hyakuji, Lilica knew she would have to make an entrance deserving of a Storyteller such as herself. So, unlike the others who had entered so far, she wouldn't enter in anything resembling a normal way. The first thing the others would notice was a red carpet being rolled out to the nearest desk by a small blue toad. Another toad was walking behind the first, playing an off-tune fanfare on a kazoo. The third toad in the entry line was vigorously waving a small flag with some sort of heraldic symbol on it. And then, walking in last, was a rather leggy girl with orange hair who had the air literally sparkling around her.

"Good morning everyone," she would say with a wide smile on her face. Once she was sure she had most of the people present looking at her, she would snap her fingers, dispelling the flag, the kazoo, and the carpet just a moment before they would have expired anyways. The sparkles would remain as she walked towards her seat. However, as she walked, something seemed... Off about her. If an individual was incredibly observant, they would be able to spot that the muscles that would normally be moving in the legs when one walked seemed to simply stay put, as if there was no change in them at all. However, the impression would fade quickly, and she would once again seem like a perfectly ordinary girl, if only a bit more attractive than the average person.

Literature and writing are intrinsic to human culture. So its not really a surprise that a rather curious demon picked it as one of his classes.

So with his endless curiosity, Jaret walked into the literature class. Bowing once to his teacher. "Good morning Tsukasa-sensei." He cast his eyes over the class before taking a seat. His eyes momentarily drifted over Lilica, it seems he wasn't the only one wearing a glamour to hide their true form. The dead look in her eyes, the lack of muscle movement and unnatural beauty of the girl was a clear sign that she was one of the fae.

Of course anyone with any ability to sense supernatural energy could easily tell the teenager in front of them was a demon.

Without another word, Jaret sat down at an empty desk at the front of the class. Taking out a notepad, the overly-curious demon intended to learn as much as he could from this class.

Raising a hand he asked a question of his teacher. "What does today's lesson entail Tsukasa-sensei?"

Shin was somewhat disappointed. He was looking forward to his Advanced Demonology class. But apparently that was dropped in favour of literature.

But still, maybe it was for the best. Shin did have extensive knowledge of various supernatural creatures so it wasn't much of a loss.

So it was with great cheer, Shin sauntered into his first literature class. Giving his teacher a cheerful wave. "Morning sensei." And strode towards one of the desks at the back of the class. He gave a brief glance at Jaret. "So that's what I was sensing on the way here." He thought. Shrugging, Shin filed it under "not his problem" He doubted that the school would have accepted a demon if the creature was unable to behave.

Even so, Shin would be keeping a close eye on him from the back of the class.

It had been quite a struggle for Emmet, attempting to be on time for his class. He would have much rather stayed outside, still recording a particularly beautiful tree he had spotted, but as he had reminded himself several times, this was still a school. He still had classes to attend, still had responsibilities. He began to trek towards one of his first, Literature.

He'd initially considered a more physical class, but with some nudging from his family, it was decided that he would try something more relaxing. Emmet liked to read, he always kept some books in his bag. He was okay at writing, he could make do with most assignments. He arrived at his destination, and made his way into the class.

This was certainly a school for weirdos, he could tell. Maybe he would try to keep to himself for a bit, get a feel for his new classmates. He waved at the teacher, silently making his way over to an empty desk near the middle of the room. He stored his camera, in it's place taking out his newest book, a hardback cover about monsters in general. He decided he would read it until the class began.

Zena was already in his little corner by now, face in a book and a pile on his desk, he saw this as a class for doing such things...read everything. He had completely missed introductions and was focused on the book and the book alone, Skullduggery Pleseant, a series that he enjoyed, he managed to have his mother send him his collection of the books and thus was hard at work with the first one. The adventures of a dead detective had him hooked to these books from page 1, the tailor who was tall with scars on his face, the sword wielding girl, Skullduggery's apprentice discovering her talents. He was fully lost in this world, a world that may as well have 'Based on a True Story' written on the covers.

If anyone were to walk up to him and talk to him, he wouldn't even notice, however a poke or a nudge would most likely result in a reaction. But no one had wandered to him yet so he was safe and at peace. He was still new too, with his map memorized and his sister yet to show her face at all. It was a bit of a good thing considering she was a bit mean to him before she came here, but he missed her even if they weren't related by blood. His eyes scanned the book for a few moments before he turned the page and leaped into the world in this book even further. The villain, the cleavers, the plot to do god knows what unfolded before him and not a glance to the world he belonged in.

Yuki came in with her hoodie on, hands in her pocket.

"Oh this is our first class of literature i'm so excited" exclaimed Kaboto a cheerful voice inside of Yuki's head.

"Yeah yeah who cares about some books we should be training" exclaimed Shimei a demonic voice inside of Yuki's head.

Yuki walked to her seat and sat down.

Yurei was behind Yuki but unlike Yuki nonchalant entrance she entered the class with her cat tail wagging happily with one of her favorite books a copy of "The Green Mile" novel by Stephen King in her hands. she loved to relax and read a good book so this was the perfect class for her.

"Good Morning~" Hiro greeted each student one by one in return cheerfully; laughing quite amused at some of the more dramatic entrances given by some students. It was certainly a change of pace from the usual Tsukasa class of rushing in last minute before unleashing something dangerous and spending the rest of their time together fixing the problem. No, this was going to be perfectly safe.

"I'm glad you asked," he replied eagerly to those questioning on the subject for the day, "Since this is our first class together, I thought I would get us off on the right foot. I'm sure some of you may have had literature-related courses here in the past. I'm going to be doing a few things differently, but that's for a very specific reason. I want to inspire in all of you a love of books!"

"So I'm going to use any means necessary to impress upon you just how boundless the adventures and experiences that can be had through literature," Hiro concluded triumphantly, "And we'll be starting with this!" Saying thus, Hiro grasped a large tome resting of the teacher's desk and held it up to the class.

"Romance of the Three Kingdoms," Hiro announced the title written across its cover, "It is considered one of the four great classical works of China. What better way to start off than with a classic? Before I dive into anything, maybe some of you have even encountered this story before. How about?"

Hiro smiled with confidence. Everything was going smoothly. And he had the perfect lesson plan for the day. Nothing could go wrong now...

Taking a note of the other students as they arrived Dawn noticed that some of them had decided to bring along their own books. It was a good idea, one that Dawn would have to keep in mind for the future. A literature class was all about books after all.

Turning back to face Hiro she listened as he began to speak, he held up what was to be the first book of their class. Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Dawn had heard a bit about it before but she was by no means an expert on it. From what she could remember it was definetly a large story and the size of the tome that Hiro was holding definetly agreed with what she had heard about it.

"It's about the formation and conflict of Wu, Wei and Shu, the aptly named three kingdoms right?" Dawn asked, from her memory that was at least part of the book, it was almost impossible to memorize the whole entire book considering the size and length of it. From what she remembered that was more or less the large portion of the book.

Jaret blinked when Hiro revealed the book. He wasn't familiar with any form of literature. The whole reason he took this class was to learn more about human culture and literature to see if he would enjoy it.

He spoke up. "I'm unfamiliar with the book sensei. Will we be reading it over the next few classes or are you just going to give us a summary?" He tilted his head to the side. Hiro had yet to tell them the exact details of the class. But he had vowed to instil a love of books in them.

So Jaret simply shrugged and listened intently, taking down whatever anyone says about the book in his notepad. If the book looked appealing to him, he may purchase a copy

Lilica would tilt her head some in confusion as her teacher lifted up the.... whatever it was he had. The sparkles would be replaced by visible interrobangs while a look of concern crossed over her face. Wasn't this supposed to be a class about stories? What was the Hiro character doing, holding up a bundle of contracts like that? Didn't he know something like that could be dangerous?!

However, where Lilica was worried, the Toadies seemed excited. One would let out a series of varied croaks for a good long while, as if he were monologuing about the contents of the book and his favorite parts. The other two would simply nod in sage agreement, inserting a ribbit of approval for their brother every once in a while. Truly a beautiful speech... If you could understand a toad.
