What is this thing?
|
Well that went further south than Australia fairly quickly. And the mall is currently being destroyed by Damon getting somewhat serious. The only consolation to this situation is that Jack now knows that Hiro can be distracted by pretty women. Even in the heat of battle he was willing to risk his own health to protect them. He filed that away for later use. Still all the useful information in the world would be useless if he died here. Making up his mind, the Garou decided that he would run and live to fight another day. As he was fleeing, the werewolf would pick up whoever was closest and throw them onto his back as he sprinted out of the mall. His powerful limbs propelling him much faster than any normal human could even dream of. After hopefully escaping the explosion safetly. Jack would drop his cargo and change back to his human form. And the look on his face implied that he was not a happy camper. Growling, he began to stalk off. The veterans may have one this battle, but they would not win the war. Looking at the terrified masses around the mall, Jack's anger only rose. It wasn't the apparently battle-hungry students who destroyed the mall, but the teachers. The students had risked their life to defend it. It wasn't their attacks that caused all the collateral damage. But Damon's and Hiro's. Shifting into his wolf form, Jack made his way away from the destroyed mall. If this encounter taught them one thing. It was that they were a disorganised mess when it came to fighting. So Jack retreated to lick his wounds and regroup with the others and make a plan. He vowed to himself that the next battle would go much more smoothly than this one. Next time he would win. |

Ah Ha! Hiro had blocked his attack. He had falle..OHSHITDODGE!! Sora rolled underneath the swipe from Hiro's second sword. WHile he was fortunate enough to dodge Shad's ketchup attack, he wasn't fast enough to entirely dodge Hiro's support bit. The explosion sent Sora flying backwards. Coincidentally he landed back in the restaurant Hiro initially sent him flying into when Sora tried to get the drop on him. Shaking his head to clear his vision, Sora took in his surroundings. He knew when a battle was a lost cause and as much as it went against his determined nature. He knew it was in his best interest to rest up and retreat. Smashing through the outside window of the restaurant, Sora found himself outside. Thankfully he was far away from the gathered masses outside. Letting out a sharp whistle, Sora called his faithful Exceed to his side. The red kitten fluttered down onto his shoulder no more that ten seconds later. "Sora what happened in there?" The Dragon Slayer didn't answer his cat until after he was a fair distance from the mall. "I lost Kine." His voice was soft and his eyes downcast. But he knew why they had lost. The students that had risen up were uncoordinated and unused to fighting together. If Sora wanted to win the next battle he would need to meet up with others and form a plan. |

☆Chaos has a Melody and Death is like a Song☆ /人 ◕ ‿‿ ◕ 人\

Meiakki smiled as she saw Hiro hesitate she was successfully distracting him he even looked like he was going to drop his swords surely victory was close if he was disarmed her fellow students would have problems with finishing him? but she was wrong! in a instance the grin she had put on her Sensei's face had vanish and replace by a burst of rage. he teleported to save her from getting hit by Kell's attacks receiving a blow to his head. she was satisfied that she had at least made an opening for one hit to land on their enemy but that was sort lived as she watched Hiro continued his assault on her allies. the orbs were launching attacks in all directions, she noticed two beams were coming straight for her. "Kaze Shield!!" she shouted as she put her arms in a x formation over her chest creating a shield of solid wind that lessen the power of the beams to 20% of their power even that was enough to cause some tears at her uniform while leaving just minor damage on her body. that's when she saw it the shadow spirit bomb thingamajig it was terrifying such power in a building like this no one inside the building stood a chance of survival if it blew she had to stop it. "Kasai Skull!!!" she yelled as she blasted two baseball sized fire skulls at the massive shadow ball but to her shock that didn't seem to do anything thinking fast she quickly changed into her kitty form and ran for her life. "Nyaaaaaaa!!!! not good not good not goooodd!!!" she screamed as she ran dodging beams from the orbs and fleeing from the overwhelming shadow mass. a beam from the orb shot just in front of her she jumped clean over it but in mid air she grabbed by a werewolf. "Nyaaaaaaaa!!!!" she let a scream at shock at first but the werewolf threw her on his back and ran out the mall letting her off when they supposedly at a safe distance from the explosion. she looked back at the mall "Mew" she said sad about loosing the battle the mall was her favorite hang out and it wasn't likely to be standing for much longer where would she go while it was rebuilt. |

The sense of dread quickly filling the mall was terrifying, to say the least -- downright soul-crushing. Ralius, like many of the others he suspected, was coming to the realization that this was an entirely unwinnable fight. He had hoped that the force of numbers would have allowed the group of students to repel the attack, but it was now all too clear that the gap in power between elder and younger was simply too great even for their numerical advantage of overcome. The mall was going to be lost, and they were powerless to stop it. "That's enough!!" he shouted, but his voice quickly took on a softer tone. "It's too much... We can't stop them now. If we retreat, at least we can regroup and try to rally ourselves. Throwing our lives away here will only make things worse... Please, fall back!" And Ralius would lead by example, disengaging his AMD armlet and turning sharply toward the nearest exit, sprinting toward the door while simultaneously cursing himself and the group for their collective inability to protect the mall. Perhaps there was at least some shred of truth in Hiro's scathing words: this was a demoralizing and pathetic loss. |

NICE DRIVE!
|
Like a blinding flash, Hiro was rushing in for the kill on Kaito and even the boy's words did little to deter the oncoming attack. However, at Damon's sudden reminder, Kaito was granted mercy. As a rush of air blew past the boy, Hiro came to a sudden halt with both blades crossed before him as if they were scissors gently hugging either side of his neck. Hiro's eyes seemed to almost glow with anger as he stared intently at his opponent. "Right," Hiro replied to Damon coldly, "Of course." If looks could kill, then Hiro's gaze was finishing the actions that the Mage had set in motion. Letting go of each blade they suddenly vanished into thin air freeing Kaito from any danger. Letting out a sigh, Hiro turned and began walking towards one of the large sea of flames; snapping his fingers several times as he did so. And with each snap, the two magical orbs would split into two more, and then those four split again and again. Soon there was a whole armada of these support entity's and each one unleashing a horde of beam spam to accompany Damon's big finish. "It's as I said," Hiro called out to no one in particular, "You're all unfit to call yourselves Hyakuji's protectors. We will level this city to the ground. If there is even an ounce in your hearts and resolve that says otherwise, then prove me wrong..." Saying thus, Hiro vanished within the flames leaving on his mindless support orbs to finish the job they had begun. The complete and total leveling of the mall. |

The black sphere continued on it's path, Damon nodding to Hiro as he faded into the shadows, vacating the area before the attack could detonate. This situation was finally dealt with, they could move on. Their work wasn't done quite yet, and judging from the sounds elsewhere, it seemed as though their comrades were finishing up their task. The sphere collided into the ground, flashing with an intense purple light, before finally detonating. A wave of energy pulsated from the sphere, wrecking the wall, the ground, the stores within the mall, before the dark energy expanded outwards. With that flash, the center of the mall was completely gone. Only a crater stood where the food court was, digging in a fairly decent amount into the ground. Not everything was completely destroyed, thankfully. Well, somewhat thankfully. It was clear the mall was indeed going to need incredible rebuilding. The topmost floors were just gone. The ground floor was, at this point, missing any ceiling, and the walls were shot to hell and back. This place looked like an actual warzone, it was truly disturbing to think this was the damage done in a couple of minutes by a relatively minor scuffle. What kind of damage would happen if this occurred again? What place was next on their 'hit list'? And what if they worked to be even more destructive, with even less concern for civilian life? |
