"Its getting crazy in here." Sora whooped, a joyous grin on his face. Although it was rather odd. The now villainous teachers are blaming their students for being too destructive. But apart from Sora's Dragon Roar, they were the ones who were causing most of the damage to the mall, not the students.

Besides their plan is flawed. Destroying Hyakuji will only scatter a bunch of supposedly battle-hungry and destructive teens to the wind. Instead of keeping them in one place where they can be contained, taught, directed and controlled. They planned to give them no place where they are freely accepted without prejudice and send them back to their homes, where a few of them are hated and feared because of their powers. That would only encourage their destructive tendencies.

Of course Sora wouldn't say this out loud. It was pointless, his teachers were most likely under some form of mind control. If he tried to logic bomb them it probably wouldn't work.

He was prepared to jump into the fray alongside the others in attacking Damon, until Hiro did something he really shouldn't have done.
The demonology teacher sent a magical blast upwards through the skylight.

Normally Sora wouldn't care about that. But this time was different. Kine was up there. The crazed teacher may have very well harmed Sora's cat and best friend.

Needless to say that was a mistake.

Sora's maniac grin dropped, and so did his magical aura. For about two seconds there was no activity from the Dragon Slayer. He barely noticed Damon's shadow attempting to grab him.

"Tsukasa." A low whisper came from the auburn-haired teen. "TSUKASA!!!" He roared, his magical aura reigniting and lighting him up like a miniature sun. The light emitting from him bright enough so that it may end up dissolving Damon's shadows.

And if it didn't... Well, Sora was far too pissed off to care.

He levelled a glare at Hiro. "I'M GOING TO F***ING KILL YOU!!" He yelled, dashing forward. Running in a zig-zag to dodge any attacks coming his way.

He quickly made it over to Hiro, his hands once again enveloped by magical power. With a fierce roar Sora threw a lightning-fast punch at the other mage's chest.

Meanwhile, Above the Mall

"Woah!" The miraculously unharmed kitten exclaimed, having just barely dodged a magical blast that was sent upwards.

He frowned and looked downward. The battle didn't seem to be going well for the students. But Kine wasn't worried, Sora was down there, and he knew his best friends was capable of taking care of himself. He remembered an old human saying: "It's always darkest before the dawn." Things will probably get worse before things get better.

The red cat frowned and looked at Hiro. It wasn't the opportune moment for him to drop his cargo. He would wait until Hiro either; charged up a very obviously powerful spell that needed him focusing, an opening presented itself or if Hiro started monologuing again. Villains were always vulnerable while monologuing .

Unfortunately, it was not debris, but two very large halves of one giant superball that Hiro foolishly cut apart. Halves that, as soon as they hit the wall behind Hiro in a few seconds, causing the wall to shake lightly after impact, and the halves fell with a slight bounce and settled.

"Agreed, Hiro. If that really is you and not some shapeshifter with random magic and a similar-looking sword. Of course, I suggest you throw that lame replica toy away before I crush you with it, figuratively and literally. Your magic is strong, so I'll do what I can to punish you in all sorts of torturous ways." Shad said plainly, starting to recover his mana from the floor as he strafe-ran across the ruined food court floor, with beams of magic lancing outwards from those spheres before jumping over a nearby table to snatch a bottle of ketchup, narrowly dodging them as more rubble and dust was kicked up.

Bounding off the table, he continued to sprint around inside the radius of the magic weapon perimeter in random directions and zig-zags, attempting to keep the magic orb's attention completely focused on him so the others could continue their attack on Hiro, awhile he gathered mana for the next attack. Of course, he didn't know about the radius, but he just wanted to see if they are prone to attacking anything that moved. "Nah, nah! Can't catch me! You should've upgraded those things with a brain, Hiro!"

Well, this fight was spiraling from insanity to absurdity pretty quickly. His magical arrows did little to irritate Damon's shield, and before he could contemplate his next plan of attack, one of his legs was seized by a shadowy hand erupting from the ground. Panicking, the red-haired archer lifted his hand up over his head, gathering a ball of pulsing blue arcane energy, and slammed his fist down into the hand that had seized him. There was a brilliant explosion of blue light, but little was done to actually free Ralius from the hand's grasp.

"Damn.... We're really in over our heads.. The hell am I doing here?"

Frustrated, Ralius chose a more risky course of action. Rather than try to crush the hand at his leg, he did his best to fight to keep his balance, releasing a string of poorly aimed shots back at Damon -- he could arc them in midair to converge on them, and the bolts would begin to bend at sharp angles and fly toward Damon from all sides.

He wasn't going to win this one -- but he could do his best to try and keep things moving for his stronger classmates who might have had a shot.

Meiakki ran in her kitty form to avoid being caught in the crossfire of the battle. she ran up a broken escurator and jumped changing back to her normal human form mid-air.

"Kasai Skull!" she proclaimed as she threw a fireball the size of a baseball in the form of a skull that flew at Hiro. she knew it wouldn't do much but she had to try something. the others were fighting so bravely she wanted to help as well.

These people are crazy. There's nothing else about it, these people are... off their rockers, are they seriously talking about getting in a fight to the death...?

No way, screw you people. Even if you try to bring her brother into this topic you can't convince her to come with you. "You're mad... you're all mad... Go by yourself, I don't care!" The girl yelled out angrily at Kell, angry that she actually had the misfortune to be involved in this mess. She's not crazy enough to join them in a fight, she's not going to risk her life to defend some status quo! If they seriously want to throw away their own lives just to prove someone wrong then have it their way!

The ordinary girl turned around and made a mad dash towards the exit... wherever it is. Screw this place and the people, even her brother wouldn't be stupid enough to want to be a hero in this situation!

...Would he...?

~At the Food Court~

As the chaos at the center of the mall continues to unfold...

Ding ding ding ding~

Out of nowhere there is a very out of place chime as though someone had just tried to use the mall's PA system, which would be audible for everyone in the food court if they're not too loud with their fighting.

Sena was glad this thing still works.

"H-hello? Is this... Is this thing working?" Well she can't be too careful, but from where she's at, a receptionist area at some other part of the mall away from the food court, she could definitely hear it still working fine. "Ugh, I'll just assume you guys can hear this, in which case..."

"IS THIS WHAT PROTECTING THE PEOPLE REALLY MEAN TO YOU?!" Sena's voice yelled out so loudly from the PA system that it echoed enough to make those annoying high-pitched screech until she stymied it, before continuing at a more proper volume. "I THOUGHT I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE WHEN I GAVE YOU GUYS THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, BUT APPARENTLY I WAS WRONG!!! YOU PEOPLE WITH POWERS ARE ALL THE SAME!!! JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE ALL STRONGER THAN US POWERLESS ONES YOU CAN HAVE YOUR STUPID SQUABBLING AND DON'T EVEN CARE WHEN WE'RE CAUGHT UP IN YOUR FIGHTS!!! YOU'RE RIGHT YOU KNOW THAT, YOU GUYS ARE UNFIT TO BECOME DEFENDERS AND PROTECTORS!!! ALL OF YOU... EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU MAKES ME SICK TO THE CORE!!!"

She had to vent out her frustration as a mere powerless civilian unwittingly caught in the crossfire, or else she'll go mad.

Jason noticed he was running low on ammo in his soda machine gun and was going to need a back up plan, unfortuantily wile throwing the thing would prove pointless it could also provide a distraction. Jason lifted his leg up kicking the machine as hard as he could to send it flying at least a few feet so that it might cause a diversion so he could escape instead of throwing it and revealing his location. As the machine sailed through the air Jason spun around on his heels and began running down one of the hallways, looking back as he ran toward Rakutsu.

"Hey running man get outta there, and follow me I need your help !"

He spouted, he had a bit of an idea what was going on and he knew the enemies had a plan, he was going to need to think of one to compete with it rather quickly. Right now he had not a lot but he had two things spinning around in his head he was good with machines but it took him a while and thus he needed someone with faster hands and that the group wasn't getting anywhere against well planned out enemies all by themselves the first thing they were going to need was a way to stay in touch a plan would come second.

Jason was an idiot but at the end of the day he was a Zero Agent and defeating opponents far outmatching yourself was lesson one at the academy. As he ran he stopped to pick up the box from before under his arm, and finally stopped at a store that looked to be mostly intact. The enemies may have had great power and Jason had no idea the extent of there abilities but he did know one thing, tech and this was the place for that...an electronics store !

The boy wasn't as fast as many of the others there but he was in pretty good shape for his age and had been running faster than he had in a long time, taking a break to breathe heavily at this point having just breezed by everything except grabbing his box on the way here and not really paying attention to anything else, so hopefully the speedster had followed.

Kell put one gloved hand to the bridge of her nose. Hiro had his magic sword out. She had never seen the teacher fight before, but she has heard that the blade's appearance essentially heralded death to his enemies. Great, just great. And to top it off, Damon of all people was here.

Okay, it wasn't like the odds weren't impossibly huge in her mind before. This wasn't going to deter her. She had already hit the limits of her desperation.

Of course, that desperation soon turned to boiling rage when she saw the impossibly large bouncing objects that were liable to kill somebody on their side. Even before she had fully processed the thought, she was screaming at the top of her lungs.

"SHAAAAAAAD, YOU DENSE MOTHERFUCKER!"

She was almost ready to ignore Hiro and Damon just to punch him in the face when the pumpkin girl's voice reached her through the PA. And through that, she had an epiphany. Goddamn, they really were fucking things up. Also, that girl was seriously a bitch. But Kell got the point. No longer did she bear an unreasonable anger, but rather a grim determination to see things through.

That said, getting coordinated was easier said than done. The battle had already started, and there were no breaks for them. That said....

"Kaito! Dawn!" She pointed towards Hiro's legs. If they took the low side, she'd go up high. Scrabbling up the broken stairs, the luchadora climbed up to the second floor as she picked up a rather large chunk of concrete. It wasn't exactly much of a weapon, but she prepared herself to huck it at the red haired teacher as hard as she could the moment his defences went down.

Hardly a good plan, but she was hoping that it'd do something, even if it only made Hiro turn away for a second. They needed all the chances they could get.

"Oh, trust me", Ken told Hiro as he turned to face him, "You'll get much, MUCH louder when we get it on, pretty boy".

With his left fist balled up against his hip and a chin-up, Ken's focus was completely on Hiro as he cut in half the helicopter above him. It seemed as if the machine would crush the youth, but both halves were deviated from their course by a mysterious force, leaving a wide gap within which Ken and his throne stood when they hit the floor, causing the entire mall to rumble from the impact and the resulting explosions.

(Additionally, those paying enough attention would notice that there was and never had been a pilot in the helicopter)

But it was not over!, From above the main airscrew plummeted, still turning at blinding speeds, it threatened to open Ken's head in two and splatter his brains all over the walls... However, in the very last second the piece suddenly stopped mere centimeters above the still unmoving Ken. For most people this would be a miraculous, inexplicable event, but those with the spiritual, magical affinity necessary would be able to see the truth.

Above Ken a huge, muscular humanoid figure floated, the entity was armored from head to toe with heart-shaped silver plates and was of an intense pink, the color of the passion and love. It was holding the airscrew in its right hand with ease.

"I didn't come here to let you stomp all over me, you know", Said Ken, blinking for the first tine since he had laid eyes on Hiro, "Or to listen to your bullshit for that matter", Ken extended his arm pointing at Hiro with both his index and heart fingers, his body oriented sideways as he seemed to be aiming, calculating. The playful, clownish Ken from just seconds before seemed to have vanished. This other Ken had steel and fire on his eyes and a tone that left no doubts about his resolution.

"I came here to win. Plain and simple. Go, Lovesexy"

"DORAAA!!!"

At his signal, the Stand hurled the airscrew at Hiro with all of his strength and then some more. Advancing at 500 km/h the object of of over a ton threatened to leave the hurt on Hiro if he didn't deflect it... But as soon as he did, he would be in for a nasty surprise.

Under his touch or that of his sword, the metal would comb like liquid, for liquid it was. Ken had melted the aluminum-steel alloy into boiling hot metal as it advanced towards Hiro, who would not only feel both the impact and the burns, but also something even more worrisome...

And it was that mere seconds after the impact the metal would have hardened back, encasing Hiro and restraining his movements enough for Sora to take advantage of the situation as well as the rest of the attackers. But his real plan was trash-talking Hiro into submission.

Even now, in this most dire situation, Ken allowed himself a smirk, things so far were going well and there were plenty of factors to take advantage of, not to mention all of the little, nasty tricks he kept under his sleeves.

... But then a random chick had to open her mouth.

Yelling all over the PA system, she yammered and yammered them as if they were children misbehaving instead of adults giving their all to save the ungrateful asses of people like her. All she said was biased nonsense coming from total lack of information. Nothing of it held any value at all and thus he did the most logical thing to do.

Shooting small blasts at each of the outputs of the PA system, Ken swiftly shut up the bitch around the end of her speech. He then sighed, "At times like these I'd just like to calmly take my leave and let those fools see how they deal with people like you", said Ken, not really caring wether Hiro was really listening or not. Anyways, for all it concerned him, that girl could bottle it all up and explode if she pleased, but he was not going to deal with her shit.

... But someone, or rather, something had heard Sena's words.

As soon as she was done, a pressence filled the PA room, it slowly filled everything, like a dense, clogged-up oppressive smog. The sheer corruption of this presence would be enough to chill her to her bones, but nonetheless, it didn't seem hostile at all... But regardless, each passing moment the presence intensified and with it, Sena would
Reach a very simple conclusion.

Something was coming.

((OOC: Just one more reminder and I'll shut up. For the duration of the thread, if I miss someone's action that was made directly at Hiro, it was an accident. Kindly PM me and I will edit the post. Thanks~))

And so the chaos intensified. As Jack hurled the shadow bubble towards one of Hiro's Magical Support Bits, it unleashed a surprisingly rapid hail of fire targeted on the object; each blast breaking it down until it dissipated well before impact. It appeared these things, whatever they were, had some form of self-preservation as well. Whether they were sentient or not, or simply acting on some automatic guidelines remained to be seen.

Of course, others had noticed their potential in the battle as well. Shortly after this, Dawn began focusing fire upon one of the Spheres hoping to take it down. Almost as if acting on instinct, it sprung into quick reaction at the first shot fired beginning to dart and weave about the air in completely random unpredictable patterns. Which each short burst of movement, it would stop for a second, blast off a shot of return fire at Dawn and then quickly snap to a new position while avoiding her own blasts.

Meanwhile, the other Sphere began to focus on Shad. As he zig-zagged about the edge of the food court, so too did the magical attacking construct begin the same bobbing and weaving in the air all the while tracking the Size Mage's movements and trying to hail him down with beam fire. It was starting to look like these magic orbs were every bit the same threat that Hiro himself posed.

Hiro, as well, made short work of Dawn's efforts. Spinning and waltzing about as if the very battle were a bore, Hiro continually flourished forth with Tyrfing striking each blast with a sword slash and severing it into nothingness. Was this a property it had, or merely its own power? It was called the Sword of Sorcery, of course. Spinning around, Hiro met the burning skill, fired by Meiakki, and as before cut through it keeping up his perfect defense by means of his weapon.

And then the loud guy dove into things. Hiro scoffed a little bit, trying to choke back a laugh at the over the top entrance. However, there was no joke about the sudden attack from the boy's Stand. As the airscrew hurled forth, Hiro's eyes widened slightly in panic. Anyone finding a moment in the chaotic fray to study their opponent closely would notice that the Mage was seeming rather winded from his fancy swordplay. It was true that physical combat actions were generally not his main forte.

Unsure on his own reaction time, Hiro mumbled a few quick words as a green spherical barrier formed around his body taking the impact of the airscrew and subsequent splash of heated metal from the impact. Within moments, it began to harden seemingly sealing the school teacher within. However, a split-second later the entire construct shattered apart revealing Hiro within completely unscathed. It was not a complete loss however. Such barriers required ample amount of magical energy to form and though it had stopped the attack, it was also utterly destroyed as a result from it. A heavy price to pay in stopping an all too dangerous attack.

At least on Hiro's front of the battle, things were looking pretty hopeless. And then, as if to solidify his point, someone began speaking over the mall's PA system in clear support of his own message.

"Hahaha do you see?" Hiro gloated as an aura of powerful magical energy exploded out around him, "This is what your actions have driven the average person to think of you! One of you actually understands! It's just a shame it happens to be someone not in need of accepting this lesson! That adorable voice! It's like music to my e-" It wasn't that out of the ordinary for Hiro. The man had held a long history of being distracted by women. And at the height of another diabolical monologue, the Magus found his words cut short.

Like a strike of thunder, Sora's fist made direct impact with Hiro's chest. A loud crack echoed out from the impact point and then like a blur the Mage's body went flying back and away crashing into an already assembled pile of rubble kicking up dust in all directions. It couldn't be that easy though, correct? Still, a lone girl's cute voice had served distraction enough for Hiro's ironclad defense to drop. In a sense, the least powerful person in the area had, in turn, become one of the most effective.

"My bad," Hiro mumbled weakly as he lifted himself up out of the rubble. His clothing was now tattered and damaged all over. Cuts and bruises dotted his body. Slowly, as the cloud of dust began to settle, Hiro raised his free hand up to his cheek and pressed a single finger against the blood pooling at one of the cuts. In a single swift motion, he traced out a straight line and then stepped back. The line of blood solidified and then with a flash transformed into what appeared to be a katana made of some crimson metal. It was an old trick. In fact, one of Hiro's oldest. But it would be a new sight for many of those present.

With his free hand, he grasped the blood weapon and effectively began dual-wielding. "Make no mistake," Hiro called out with every bit of confidence possible despite his injuries, "One lucky shot won't change a thing. You can accept the reality of this situation and stand down. I'll only offer this once. I will destroy this building. You can walk away unscathed now. If you approach me, I will cut you down!" This was clearly no idle threat. With a burst, a sudden explosion of energy surged out around Hiro. For those with the ability to sense the supernatural or energy signatures it would look as if an aura of purple flames was burning brightly around the Mage's form.

The attacks against Damon seemed to do good! His barrier was indeed broken, it seemed, and it would allow Jack to move in! As he moved in to grab Damon-

...Damon wasn't there.

Despite the jump, Jack would find his Shadow still grabbing at him, the hand getting farther out as an arm came from the shadow, then a torso, still reaching. How could one escape from one's shadow, really? Rakutsu would find some similar difficulties, though his act of stabbing the hands did force them to release their grasp, though they were still there, and slowly regenerating.

Ralius, however, was on to something. The flash of blue light caused his shadow to vanish outright, eliminating the threat before it could react. The same was the case with Sora

OOC

As a note Silver, do not ever assume you automatically destroy a construct of anyone else's again. I know I sent you a PM about it, but I'm restating it here so we can just move on, you do not dictate what happens to another character or their actions. You can imply, you can create difficult situations, but you do not ever automatically succeed.

"Pathetic."

A voice came from above, from the skylight. There Damon stood, atop a disc of darkness. Had he shifted away using the darkness? But he'd never shown that capability before, his teleportation was supposed to require incredible focus! He raised up his right and left hands, spheres of darkness forming in them, pulsating with an absurd amount of power.

He looked on as his comrade took the hit from the light-user, shaking his head. Women? Again? He was recovering quickly enough, and made the declaration of what was going to happen. "That last warning takes effect now. Run now. Or die." Damon said, not even waiting for a response. They had their chance. With a single flick of the wrist, the right sphere came down, heading right at Sora. This level of darkness....it was absurd. The purple glow around it, the energy radiating off it...it was obvious enough that this attack was going to leave a MESS.

A flick of the wrist, and the second sphere was loose, aiming in general towards Rakutsu and Jack. It was not likely to hit either of them, but was that even the goal?

...wait...

...oh dear.

The stab was successful and he was able to run again...for the moment. Sure the attack on the hands landed, but they didn't go away as they were still there, but their grip was lost. As the boy instructed him to follow him he got up and begin running after him."Would you mind helping me get rid of these shadow hands first they won't go away,"as he says this he turns to see too see if anyone was following him. Instead of seeing someone he saw a dark sphere heading towards them."Behind us,"warneds Jason as Rakutsu uses his speed perception to process the fact that the sphere was heading towards them fast enough to get out of shock over the fact. He then attempt to dodge the sphere by using speed to side step out of the way, since it was a liner attack it shouldn't be too much of problem.

Good news, The shield went down. Bad news, Damon wasn't there for Jack to dismember. Worse news, his shadow was still holding onto him. OHFUCKSHITRUN news, a very menacing looking purple orb was speeding towards him.

After slashing at the wrist of the hand that was holding him. Jack leapt back down to the first floor. Intent on dodging Damon's attack. Landing next to Ralius. Jack took note that the redhead's shadow was no longer bothering him. With a growl he pointed at his own shadow. "Light it up." He voice was guttural, barely human.

Hopefully after his shadow problem was dealt with. Jack would go on the offensive. Seeing as how there were a good few few table scattered around the area, Jack decided to use his favourite tactic when dealing with opponents that were more powerful than him; throw heavy shit at them.

Grasping a nearby table in his claws, Jack spun around to add momentum and sent it flying towards Hiro. After that deed was done, he repeated the action. Sending another table flying upwards. Straight at the smug shadowmancer.

He also made a mental note to talk to Sena later. That girl really needed to have someone sit down with her and explain this crap. She was simply ranting about how they didn't care about people caught in the crossfire.

That was a load of bull. If nobody cared, then the students would just sit back and allow Hiro and Damon to destroy the mall. They wouldn't rise up to defend the city and the people who live there.

Sora's maniac grin returned when he felt his fist connect and send Hiro flying. Looks like the rookies scored first blood. He was rather thankful for the distraction the girl on the intercom had given him.

Wait a second. It was a female voice, and Hiro made a comment about how adorable it was. The girl couldn't have been older than fifteen or sixteen judging from her voice.

"My god." Sora breathed, having come to a realisation. He pointed a finger at Hiro. "You're a pervert! He turned to Dawn and Kell. "Quick both of you, distract him!

Wait, what? Oh, right. Its just Sora being a bit boneheaded. Seems like he hit his head a bit to hard when he crashed into the restaurant.

If one gave any attention to Sora's aura. They would notice that it seems to have died down a little. While it hadn't lost its potency, it seemed to be tighter and more controlled. It no longer flared about wasting energy. Most likely due to him having a better grip on his anger.

Hmm, it seems Hiro was starting to get a bit more serious. According to him a lucky shot didn't change a thing. "I beg to differ asshole." Sora taunted. After a some observation he could tell that close combat wasn't his forte. So seeing Hiro draw another sword made no sense to the Dragon Slayer. "We already have first blood."

See, a lucky shot like that against seemingly invincible opponents have a tendency to change the course of a fight. Someone who is confident in their ability would have their resolve shaken after being struck. And those that were struggling would have their hope renewed after seeing a person that was stomping all over them get taken off their high horse.

Now for an inspiring soundtrack for the ensuing beat-down

Oh dear. A rather menacing looking attack was heading towards him. Well then, time to do something stupid and/or awesome.

Instead of dodging to the side or retreating. Sora ran towards an even greater threat. Hiro himself. If the orb tracked him, he could simply lead it into Hiro. And if not, then he doubted that Damon would risk another destructive attack while Sora was so close to his ally.

Dashing forward, Sora planned on using the table Jack had throw as a distraction. While Hiro dealt with that, Sora would sidestep behind Hiro's guard and deliver another punch to the mage. This time aiming for the teacher's smug face. Hopefully Sora's blow would shut Hiro's annoying mouth.

Above the mall.... again

It still wasn't the opportune moment yet. Instead of charging up some form of beam or monologuing. Hiro decided to go for close range.

In the air above the mall, Kine grinned. He had complete faith in his friend. If Hiro tried to attack Sora with a close ranged attack. The wizard would be in for a nasty surprise.

"Now why would we accept the reality of the situation when it's barely been a minute? Come now, faker, Hiro is a thousand times durable than that, and he's not the type to just say 'Oh, I'm ending this because I am completely useless at fighting'." Shad said coldly, continuing to outpace the beams as he got closer and closer to Hiro, ketchup bottle in his left hand, his other hand already balling up into a tight fist, which began to be covered with pieces of bark.

"And you! Girl watching us and judging us, call the freaking police and the self-defense forces instead of whining about how weak you are! If he escapes like the cowardly poser he is and destroys the mall despite our best efforts, I want all routes of escape for him cut off. If this weirdo wants to be associated with terror, then he could be afraid for the rest of his life being hunted down by this city he wants to destroy by people like you from all walks of life. You got that!?!?" He yelled briefly at the security camera as he closed in Hiro's position the same time as Sora, curving around slightly before charging in with a one-two punch.

Namely, he flicked the glass bottle of ketchup a foot in front of him before slamming it hard and fast with a straight-forward smash of his rather large, wooden right fist, unleashing a wide, glob-like splash of ketchup at Hiro's exposed face at high speeds, as well as multiple, razor-sharp glass shards to cut into exposed flesh, then strafe-jumped to the left at the last second to narrowly avoid getting blasted by a aimed beam strike from behind, continuing to run but at a slower pace due to fatigue. Two slight rattling noises could be heard on each side of Hiro, as if something fell there on purpose. "The best solutions are always the simplest ones." He muttered, stopping by the broken gumball machine nearby to collect ammo from the floor. His mana level was just about full at this time, as he gathered some of it into his free hand.

Ralius stumbled off to the side a little as the shadowy hand lost its grip on his leg, needing a short moment to recover his balance. The attack had been thwarted? He hadn't expected the light from his AMD's shots to dissipate the shadow like that, but it had -- the redheaded spacechild wasn't about to argue.

At Jack's instruction, Ralius nodded his head firmly and release another shot at the shadow hounding him, hopefully with the same result as Ralius' own. In fact, for good measure, he took a quick look at his other classmates, sending an arrow past any of them with lingering shadows. At least if they were free to move, they could do something productive.

The rapid string of shots, however, was taking its toll on the AMD's mana cell. The blue line running along his forearm had begun to recede, showing that the gathered magical energy was slowly being depleted by his offensive. It would be easy enough to keep it recharged, but he had to be careful not to overdo it too much and risk having no shots available when the right moment came.
